I love how bittersweet the song is. It actually does feel like a lament, despite the fact X doesn't seem set back by anything at all. Also, the overall message of the song is. Horrifying. X doesn't have to rely on people being dumb, he knows there are people that love horror and will intentionally ignore any and all warnings to see his work. A smart creature indeed...
@@decayingstufxs first of all when is metal sonic mentioned Second of all joedoughboi confirmed lord x is one of the possible outcomes of 2011 x so they are in fact then from the future
"Crimson Arisen Given Imprisoned Though I'm restless, Patience put to test I still thank you for the best This time we've spent Though windows bent It's seen progress That none will protest Twirled pantomime Quilled dark design I know you enjoyed This game of lies Zoned in on every session Right here for your impressions Left for those kind Of those who lack discretion As you fall Through hallowed halls Don't be appalled My bliss be spread to all Too slow, yet too fast Thus ends my curtain call Now we're finally free Here to frolic in glee Old world rotten Left forgotten Tow the line, This round I've won." Stunning lyrics by Revie, stunning remix, video and choir voice by MaimyMayo, stunning art by Joe and Rhy, stunning voice of Sonic by Spoogynova and stunning choir voice by Paperjamaz. This is purely awesome. And this is freaking canon. X with piano singing about his victory and releasing his emotions to player before final strike is canon. I love this piece of music. Great job, people.
This made me have a silly headcanon of 2011 X eventually learning piano and playing a song in the background at the near end of his "games" as a way to say goodbye to players and celebrate he has won once again, it just seems fitting and kinda silly now that i see this video 🦔
It's canon actually, 2011 can play on the piano, and since this video is canon, this means 2011 was singing this AND while Paul was traveling, X was just doing this
@@DharkKirbyif you think about it X might've closed the piano after playing it when the song ends in-game and then just teleports somewhere before appearing infront of paul
@@OrangezLanternz yep, and then he would warp his jaw and use his blackhole abilities to erase Paul from existence, with only the vessel and his name in the game being the only remnants of him ever existing, yet we don't know who he is because only X remembers.
X, better known as Sonic.exe (sometimes stylized as Sonic. EXE), is the titular main antagonist of the infamous Creepypasta of the same name and its sequel Round 2. He is an anomalous, interdimensional energy-based entity driven by an instinctive lust for destruction and pain.
What's funny, is toward the end I can ever so slightly hear the original Hill Tune kicking in. Really happy with what was done here! Really shows the personality X has as it goes along.
After listening to the song, This was everything I wanted for a hill with lyrics! You all did a beautiful job with this short masterpiece! Hope you have a good day!
This feels like two things at once. X bidding farewell to Paul, as if X is thanking Paul for the games he had played with him and for this very last round he joined him for. The other hand is X speaking to the one who had been observing up until now. Watching how all three are brutally killed by X, yet pushing onwards, because as X states, the observer enjoyed this game of lies, before shortly telling them that it's time for them to join his world, and to forget the old world they belonged to as it'll rot away behind them whilst being forever with him.
While I would not call it my preferred cover of Hill, I do understand why the lyrics are as they are. 2011 is confident, but not confident in the same way as his original counterpart is. He doesn't just see his victims as idiots and plays with their minds. No. He knows full well that he isn't in control of them, at least not until they beat his game. It is, after all, the player's decision to keep going through the game. The game, after all, resets if you choose to exit it, and it doesn't force itself to reopen or make itself uncloseable. That line about the game of lies, it's because of player choice. If the player didn't want to see all this, especially if they knew that real players like them were trapped in there, they could easily stop playing the game, and then delete and erase the game from their hard drive to cut off 2011's gateway to them. But no. You only get to this point, if you choose to play all the way to the end, regardless of which in-game path you choose to take.
@@SmokeTheHorsehogI like how you referenced the fact that Sonic.EXE in those places was more aggressive. Considering JC's version of X wasn't that aggressive at all
I gotta say, I really like how the lyrics are so refined. It fits with the song's classy, horrific feel, given by the organ. It's a whole lot of more... uncommon words, but that kind of enriches the song. I need to better analyze it to see any more richness but, just at face value, already is inviting me to dig through the meaning. Really amazing job!
That was brilliant! Given how X is playing the piano, I can see the difference between Lord X and Sonic.exe (2011 X). It must've sound like as if Lord X is a alternate future version of 2011 X, despite that both of them were entirely separate beings. 😀
Their the same entities, just not a continous timeline. Hence, "Lord X will always be 2011, but 2011 won't always be Lord X." In addition: Lord X is ONE of the many paths 2011 X can go through in the future.
Thank you so much to everyone that made this video possible, this was beautiful 😢 We need more videos like this, imagine this but with a lord x/pc port song! Either way, thanks for this masterpiece joe and everyone else that was involved ❤
The lyrics are so gloomy and amazing with all the mysterious words and know that you are completely screwed when you are in the lord's lair. Especially the fact X was playing the piano and playing his lullaby giving you one last gift, a Berceuse Death.
holy fUCK-- this is one of the best lyrical covers I've heard. The VA by spookynova, the lyrics by revie, the art, all of it, o my GOD This is gonna go down as a classic online, I can guarantee it.
1:20 "Zoned in on every session, right here for your impressions" X's almost laughing. He's so joyous while saying it, god damn. That twisted, cruel joy of torturing souls. Trully bone chilling.
There’s a price for every door. Control is mine. You’ll play with me forever. We will never know peace in this place of caprice. Times will change, but I will not.
Lyrics: *Crimson, Arisen, Given, Imprisoned.* Though I'm restless, patience put to test, I still thank you for the best. This time we've spent, though windows bent, it's seen progress that none will protest. Twirled Pantomime, quilled dark design, I know you enjoyed this game of lies. Zoned in on every session, right here for your impressions, left for those kind or those who lack discretion. As you fall through hallowed halls, don't be appalled, my bliss be spread to all. Too slow, yet too fast, thus ends my curtain call. Now we're finally free, here to frolic in glee. Old world rotten, left forgotten, tow the line, *this round I've won.*
Woah, that was actually an awesome lyric video dude, it made my heart pound a lot due to such voice from Spookynova, and more importantly I love the artwork of X and that piano
JoeDoughBoi’s amazing characters, art is great, but I didn’t know he can put together an amazing team to make this!!! Talented as heck! The eggman/EXE voice is legendary and a chilling version of the Juno version of EXE with lyrics! Great Job JoeDoughBoi and his team!🔥✨
I could've SWORN that was Lord X in this video, but until 1:45 and 2:00 came up I was like: ".......wAiT a MiNuTe-- *WhErE'S tHe 'X' oN hIs StOmAcH?!?"* *(I'M STILL SO CONFUSED-)* 😭💀 ALSO THX REVIE FOR DROPPING THIS EPIC BANGER 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
One of my favorite lyrical adaptations of …’s music. It’s chilling, yet bittersweet. It seems like X knows his time is running short with the game, and while he’s lamenting it, he still wishes to enjoy his final moments with the player. At least, thats what it seems like to me. Also having him sort of slither out his words was a cool touch, definitely took me by surprise but not in a bad way. And the organ mixed with piano just sounds absolutely beautiful, the instrumentation on this is crazy. Ya’ll should be proud of yourselves for this one, and thanks for the Halloween treat 💙
You got it wrong-ish by a long shot, X is bored of Paul/Robotniks, so he is spending his time lamenting on their games, appreciating the games they've played, and then at the end, well, Paul doesn't exist anymore, X used his blackhole ability to consume and erase Paul as a concept and soul, from existence, only X, and X alone remembers
The OG’s are back! everyone did incredible with this and the fact this is made by u joedoughboi and this is focused on the remake than the original makes this is all better! Applause from me my friend
If you had told me back in like 2013 that the bloody spooky version of sonic would be singing about the end of his game while playing a piano like it’s a musical, I would call you bat shit insane, But I gotta admit, it works eerily well. Great job to everyone involved!
No joke, that singing and composition actually went hard as fuck, and applauds to Revie for the lyrics she'd written, easily one of the best pieces of Sonic.exe media I've had the pleasure of listening to with my own ears.
If these lyrics are canon like Revie said Then 2011 X is a pretty evil dangerous muthafucka. He essentially serves as a reminder that “You played my game, and now you reap what you sow.” X was created and was granted power (possibly from Dark Matter like in his original lore) and broke free from his chains. Now he uses his powers to cause mischief and chaos, creating this virtual world where he can trick other unsuspecting victims into his game, both in a literal and figurative sense and plays into their own fears because he *knows* that there are others who can play with him and he will not stop until he is satisfied. And he won’t really blame himself, that’s why he thanks *you* .Plus, he completely knows what he’s doing. He knows what he’s doing is terrible and horrendous. But that doesn’t stop him. He is evil incarnate
Sonic is the very embodiment of evil, he tortures people who play his game in more ways than one and then when he gets bored he drags you into the game, literally drags you to Hell, where he can play with you always, as his toy….
This is worse when you consider the fact that X used his black hole ability when he went to "kill" paul, which is known to erase beings from existence, meaning well... you get the picture
JoeDoughBoi’s is a very talented individual! But I didn’t know he can put together an amazing team of people his level to make this!!! Talented as heck! The eggman/EXE voice is legendary and a chilling version of the Juno version of EXE with lyrics! Great Job JoeDoughBoi and his team!🔥✨
The fact that he says frolic in glee to me makes it seem that this is his way of a sort of peace? Like instead of being forgotten to time, they all die and go to the afterlife to have a fun time? I don't know, it just felt odd, cause it feels like he was talking about more than himself.
