LOL I once work at audio and visual store when I was 16 years, a guy who worked there also made some electronic music and introduced me to X-Dream, now almost 30years later I still go wild when I play this album. Love it
Back in the day Montauk P, Authentik and The Delta was quite a thing in the electronic/psy experience, miss those days where every weekend some party was going on
@@chriso9505 I saw him at my first. I was 21 and my first show. Dan, James Christian, it was my birthday. On 04/25/1996. Caffiene. It changed my world.
Yeah definitely: 27:57 - Telegram 37:24 - The Frog 45:23 - Psychomachine Interesting transition period, records like this always catch my attention. There is something special about this.
heard this live in australia in the middle of nowhere in 99 or so...and this was the real moment when the music was new black polished chrome that came over the summer like liquid night.
Hi there, I am new to trance and I like this genre very much. I come from a background of hardcore metal, yet I always had an affinity for electronic music and now I on a journey to quest for some of the best old school psy trance and goa albums. I heard this one is considered one of THE Magnum Opus in the whole trance genre. Is that quite true?
Yes it is an outstanding release. It bridges former old school melodic goa into more technoish minimal sound which is nevertheless very psychedlic. Very unique still hear it after all these years frequently. Check out Logic Bomb - Unlimited, or Atmos - Headcleaner for further fun.
@@Voggl242 Thank you for your sincere response! Yes, now after listening to this album a few times, I had finally discovered what makes this album so special. You are absolutely right that this album has achieved something almost unheard of during that time and I say even now - and that is how X-Dream were able to pull off such an intricate layers of sound weaving masterfully with only a very minimalist approach - which is beyond me! I definitely hold this album in the highest echelon of all of electronic category and that includes both EDM and EBM. My other 3 favorites are Front Line Assembly - Tactical Neural Implant, Spirillianz - Blast Food and Hallucinogen - Lone Deranger. I will definitely check out Atmos Headcleaner for sure. I have heard about them but never got a chance to hear them. I have been recently on a self-quest to find all the best old school Goa and Psy-trance DJs and producers and yes I have came across Logic Bomb Unlimited and it is an excellent album in its own right but nowhere close to Radio album, in my personal opinion.
The three most valuable pieces of oldschool psytrance are certainly 1) Hallucinogen - Twisted 2) Pleiadians -I.F.O. 3) Astral Projection - Dancing Galaxy
Cannot imagine how wonderful the album is for me... As a 05s it seems as a little bit out of place when listen to this kinda music while facing 90s listeners.
Memories of hearing these tracks emitting large from a big two truck sound system rig at solipse solar eclipse festival at lake balaton. Great oscillations!
@@funkmachine9094 Not really. Goa trance specifically is a style of trance that originated in Goa in the early to mid 90's, that has the sound of multiple layers of melodies going simultaneously that have a general "eastern" sound to them. Psy trance evolved from goa trance, keeping the constant 16th notes and energy, but instead using more sound effects, laser blasts, and noises instead of the layers of melodies. Essentially, Psy is Goa crossed with aspects of techno, and includes more effects and sound design in general.
@@funkmachine9094 Goa has an emphasis on the melody, psy emphasizes breakdowns. Within Goa and Psy there are many different sounds which can be used, but the distinction is in the DNA of the song, not the instruments nor tones.
I got this CD when I was a kid from Ibiza town. I asked the shop owner what the cd was he happened to be selling them...who makes this music? is it from Ibiza?
Я отправила альбом, как получила его от Артура, Мураками. Тот слушал его перед написанием охоты на овэц, самое далёкое путешествие Харуки на планету овэц
