Jiena kburi illi permess ta' Leħnek, dan il-kunċern tal-poplu, indirizzajnih head on, bla ebda tip ta' biża ta' xejn - għaliex il-poplu Malti ħaqqu biss il-verita, hemm bżonn illi min qiegħed fil-poter u min qiegħed fil-medja tradizzjonali jindirizza u jikkumenta fuq dawn il-kunċerni tal-poplu. Hemm bżonn li nitkellmu u niddiskutu l-immigrazzjoni, għaliex il-popolazzjoni dejjem jiżdied, pero sfortunatament, ħadd ma jagħmel xejn. Grazzi talli segwejtu dan il-video, inwiegħedkom li se nibqgħu noħorġu kontenut hekk għaliex nħoss li permess ta' din il-pjattaforma nista nagħti vuċi liż-żgħir - l-unur ta' ħajti.

Good content. Some constructive criticism (and some other questions I feel you should have asked but maybe didn't): - you asked several times if these migrants are good for the economy - I think it is valuable to look at in another way - the current economic model put into place by this government necessitates bringing in thousands and thousands of people for cheap labour, and it is unsustainable, not only in terms of population density but in terms of local services and infrastructure being unable to cope with the increased demand (health, roads, schooling, housing, public transport etc). Should the government put into place economic policies which return slower but more sustainable growth? - You could have delved more into the struggle of these migrant workers. Why did they leave their country? What economic issues do they face? Are they facing war or discrimination (Somalia, sudan, eritrea, Muslims in India just to name a few)? Is their country unsafe? Is coming here and sending money to their family the only way to support them? - Why do they have to pay thousands (sometimes >10k euro) to come here? If they are genuinely looking for a better life and the government is looking to give out work visas for these people, why do we have these middle men companies extracting thousands of euros from these already disadvantaged members of society? These agencies are truly scum. Why doesn't the government do a raffle to bring people over to Malta if it needs to bring people? Or do it on a meritocratic/points based system? - Is the government (supposedly a left wing worker's party) failing in protecting these migrant workers from predatory employment practices? (mentioned by one of the men in Rabat) - You should have asked them if their work permits and visas are tied to their employers? What happens if they feel they are being abused by their employee? Can they complain? Can they quit their job to look for another job, and not have their work permit/visa cancelled? - You should have pushed back more on people saying too many people "are coming on boats". You have the statistics - they don't. One of them said "ehh li jinqabdu" - this is a bit bullshit, these boats are intercepted by the AFM, they often all need emergency medical assistance. The statistics are probably correct. - Are there enough resources to learn Maltese? We all say "they should learn Maltese", but from what? It's difficult to learn a language and people need good resources. Are there even any freely available online courses? I have been learning Spanish for the last 2 years and the amount of online Spanish resources is mind boggling. The government needs to invest in the teaching of Maltese as a second language.

Prosit...would have appreciated if the companies getting these workers from abroad were also interviewed.

Malta and the Maltese and Gozitans have lived through vast changes in the past but these later years it has been through many more changes such as a population growth by means of a cessation of emmigration and the addition of refugees migrating on it's shores in large numbers and these two factors create a domino effect in building development which only diminishes the free countryside along with old character houses becoming victims of demolition and more people means not only more housing accommodation but more cars on the road creating a congestion of traffic lines and also the flyovers aren't a solution to this exodus of cars and also the quantity of ques lined up for clinics and hospitals which back dates appointments and puts patients on a never ending waiting long list and schools are full and the island of Malta is simply running out of space! The social services is choked with benefits being handed out like charity cases. So more people is more houses and more cars....and what will the situation be in 10 years time 2035?

Ah the good old days, of eating hobz biz zejt. Malta has never had it so good. If the young Maltese think that things are better in other countries they are dreaming. I live in Australia, yes our pay is better, but we have bills that the Maltese don't. You guys have free Universities, free buses, free child care, free medication and medical, you don't pay for your garbage to be picked up. We pay for all of this and we pay land taxes. Why are you all complaining? If the foreigners go and the building stops the money dries up.

So... For all those complaining regarding migration.. Keep in mind a few points: A) Given the low maltese birthrate( spurred by career focus and other factors) who do you thing will be paying for your pensions when you retire. B) If you had to remove all the 3rd party migrants working in Malta , who will take over their jobs ( at the wages they are given) ? Who will staff our retiremnet homes , hospitals, Hotels....? C) most are here temporary , if they find better conditions elsewhere they will leave. Than what? We get Joey collecting our rubbish or has he became to expensive and proud to do that job?

I cannot understand why these people have been living in Malta and they don't say a word in Maltese but they learned how to speak English, very annoying
