Roberto is Sunspot. He was one of the New Mutants. I haven't read the comics since the early 2000's, so I'm not sure what his current status is, but he was a pretty cool character back then.

They gave Storm TWO entrances this episodes and she deserves no less!

There’s so much I loved about it! Firstly, I love how they showed Cyclops’s full power set: the fact that his optic beams can be used as a concussive force as well as for moving around , incorporating that into his hand to hand combat, which if you look in the official Marvel handbook, pars on the levels of Wolverine, Shang-Chi and Captain America! Also shows he has perfect special awareness. Also, the scen3 on the basketball court is reminiscent of X-men #1 drawn by Jim Lee in 1993! All of this plus so much more has me itching for the next episodes! The way they’re combining different storylines that expands years apart, so well written. From Rogue and Magneto’s Savage Land relationship to Storm losing her powers, to finding out the pregnant Jean was actually the Goblin Queen, Madelyne Pryor….im stoked and ready for more!

The version of Morph from X-Men '92 was poorly realized as with most of the characters back then. It's not that he copies abilities but rather emulates certain ones. The definitive version of Morph that they're now exploring is more like Clayface from Batman. Morph can change genders, copy voices, turn into gas or liquid, increase his size, increase his muscle mass temporarily, and make objects out of his own body like swords, spikes, wings, etc. He can emulate abilities that involves softening or harding which you saw when he turned into Blob and Colossus, and he can make weapons out of his body like he did when he turned into Psylocke wielding two swords, and emulate bird-like flight as you saw when he turned into Archangel. Morph was born a fully developed mutant with no real face, hair, skin color, or body odor which makes him undetectable via scent too. X-Men '97 is doing a far better job at making the characters explore their potential not just with their powers but with their physical prowess.

Spiderman is tied up with Sony. Marvel/Disney may not be able to do anything with Spiderman. Marvel/Disney had a *special* deal with Sony to make the "Home" movies. That deal is *OVER* so they have no more rights to Spiderman. If you wanna Spiderman animated show, yell at *SONY!!!!!* to make one.

Why do you need to get used to the art style when the orignal was bad and looks incredibly dated now? It's almost unwatchable at this point because of that struggle budget, lol. Y'all gotta stop looking at things through a lens of a nostalgia. YOU'RE ADULTS NOW. This art style is leaps and bounds superior and you'd be kidding yourself if you want it to look like that dated stuff. Appreciate this just like you would any new awesome series. Get your head out of the past. We have better technology and talent working on X-Men '97 than what X-Men '92 had. Actual fight scenes. Actual team choreography. Actual creative use of powers. Beautiful character design, subtle animation nuances, and dark by vivid coloring. All wrapped in an incredibly written and directed passion project. The took X-Men from.a Saturday morning cartoon to a prime time drama and that's what the X-Men needed to be.

Morph can only copy physical attributes so like angels wings and colossus skin but like he can’t copy cyclops powers or storm that would be synch from the comics who is also omega level 👍🏿

To answer a couple of your questions… Morph can take on the physical attributes of a person. But not their powers. Like they can shapeshift into The Blob and have his physical durability. But if they shapeshift into Storm, they couldn’t control the weather. The fifth season of XMen wasn’t expected. So they had to source out the animation to a different company.

Morph can copy the physical traits only of whoever he turns into; i.e, Archangel's wings for flight, Blobs blobbiness for stunts like with wolverine. I think he may be able to mimic some fighting abilities too, but he can't copy all powers. If he turned into Jean or the Professor he wouldn't have mind powers; or Storm he wouldn't control weather, so there are limits.

*Spoiler alert for episode 5* The vision Maddy sees is a premonition to episode 5. "happy nation" is playing. Master Mold with the green explosion. Her holding Nathan (cable) and how the dust cloud in the vision runs towards Maddy the same way Cable does on the balcony.

Morph had the ability to do things like fly if he has wings, scratch if he has claws etc etc. But he doesn't take certain abilities even if he takes a shape. For example if he turns into Wolverine, he may have claws, but they aren't adamantium. So if he turns into Cyclops, he can't shoot concussive blasts from his eyes.

With the way they are treating Scott it screams that when the MCU X-Men come Scott will be the Leader thats why they are hyping him up

Season 5 was trash. It was a completely different production company. You can tell the difference from season one through four and when season five Hit. You could tell they were trying to finish season 5 up. As a final production project, they didn't care. Or put any effort into it

Ok it you like the X-Men movie good for you but in my personal opinion they suck again that just my opinion now they portray Cyclops the right way from the comic and letting him be the real leader of the team also morph can copy duplicate mimic any mutant physical strength & agility but nothing energy or projectiles even on a old episode you get a taste of his abilities in one fight seen can you turn into Angel, Sasquatch, Omega Red, and long shot

Saban productions bought the right to the X-men after season 4 and brought in their own team for season 5. That is why it looked so trash!
