Liam O'Brien no one's been recast they are just younger versions of the original characters. Wolverine is essentially a immortal therefore he would look the same during most these eras.
***** I am aware of that, I'm pointing out though no one's been recast though as the characters we've seen since First Class are still the same characters except just younger which includes Magneto and Xavier given the fact there is no way Magneto and Xavier would not look like Patrick and Ian in the 60's, 70's, and 80's. What does how many films they've been in have to do with anything? We all know for the most part Wolverine is in everything cause that's all they care about to the point its been a detriment to other characters. I am not Wolverine hater btw but the films obsessed with him and imo hurt the X-Men franchise with that obsession.
Paul Allen yeah... but Kitsch's role as Gambit was so minimum in Origins it means little he's in the same boat as Angel tbh (like I forgot Angel is a recast too cause Last Stand sucked so hard and he barely in it even though he was toward the front of the poster).
So did no one notice that Hugh Jackman wanted to stay out there but there wasn't a chair for him. It was super awkward. I'm surprised no one has commented on it. You can tell he was upset and there was drama.
Joel Bentley Yeah. You can tell he actually wanted to be a part of the panel. I mean, he took one day off just to be at comic con. Someone should've brought him a seat at least.
is it possible it was a bit cus i felt like def was uncomfortable in the beginning but when they asked him that q and then he interrupted and said thank u that particular part was a bit so i was wondering maybe if the whole thing was like meant to be awkward?? but if notttt THATS RUDE AFFFFF hes a mf legend hello?
I’m 9 years late lol but I think it was a joke cause In the beginning before anyone else comes out he says “before I leave the stage” so I don’t think he was ever gonna stay there
Paul Allen He is. He and his wife are among the nicest people I have ever had the privilege of meeting and conversing with. He is so genuine and caring and a great hugger!
serpentinefireball finally someone makes sense here. I hate that he was having those laughs with Jennifer and Issac, when that's actually his and James trademark. I'm talking shit crazy but they should be seated together, always.
Maybe it was on purpose, the way teachers sit friends apart in class so they’ll behave and pay attention. Maybe they thought “If we sit Fassbender and McAvoy together, they’re just going to be flirting and chatting and laughing the entire time!”
It makes me really mad when people say that some of the actors don't care or complain about them being awkward... Not every actor has an outgoing and confident personality!!
I really hope they dive deeper into Erik and Peter's relationship. I'd rather see more Magneto and Quicksilver interactions (both whom are excellent characters and are portrayed by excellent actors) than Jennifer Lawrence. Seems like a waste of an EXTREMELY talented cast (Fassbender, McAvoy, Isaac, Peters, etc.) and story lines (father/son relationship, rise of Apocalypse, maybe Weapon X, etc.) if they focused the entire movie on Mystique/Lawrence.
+Baie Rogers It won't be focused on her. She just helped them.. They're selling that bc her name sells, but that's it. Plus, she already quit so mystique will most likely die.
saw apocalypse on opening night and at least they did do all of those things! i need more about erik and peter but the others yeah i loved the movie, god what a great cast i love them so much
J Law's comment was literally me. "I'm uncomfortable." That was hard to watch...but was she the only one that commented on Hugh not having a chair? Cause she was like "we seriously don't have a chair for him?"...why Singer why
I didn't like the way that guy was treating Huge before he was about to leave. I could hear Jennifer repeatedly saying, "let it go." She was being so nice so that Huge doesn't feel bad. She even let him sit on her lap. I love her so much ❤
I was worried Oscar would feel left out with the rest of the cast who know each other pretty well. But nooo.. my baby fit right in. Him and Fassy are so adorable together!! also his reaction to Olivia was hilarious!!
Anyone else get a little sad when Hugh Jackman was talking? Like damn, he has helped carry the X-Men franchise for almost 2 decades and even in the bad films like Origins, Last Stand, and The Wolverine, he always brougt it as Logan. Up there with Christopher Reeves as Supes, Michael Keaton and Kevin Conroy as Batman, and RDJ as Iron Man as an actor who perfectly embodis the role he has. I am going to miss him as Wolverine and hope the last movie is something special.
Mikael R. I think she could hear the other cast talk about the deep throat thing and she got a lil nervous and started cussing lol. It was just a bad thing to bring up lol
I don't think he heard her, and that slang's not known globally. At any rate he turns to Jennifer Lawrence for explanation, can't hear what she tells him. It is funny that those two seem to have their own conversation going on no matter what the rest of the panel are talking about, with Singer jumping in from time to time.
It's weird how some of the "younger" actors don't seem to give a shit (Evan, Ty), while the "older" actors (James, Oscar) really seem to be having a lot of fun.
You can tell which cast member is a veteran in interviews and which isn't. Cyclops was very nervous throughout, exactly looking like a new kid on the block. Sophie on the other hand was very relaxed eventhough this is her first X-Men and first major film. Which isn't weird considering she has been doing this for GoT for years. She probably felt at home at Comic Con. I'm surprised at how nervous and awkward Olivia Munn was, especially knowing that she used to cover the show and have been around for quite some time.
aabidam and did you see how Nicholas and James were laughing at Cyclops ? You can hear Nicholas whispering the word "then stops" and they start giggling .. poor Cyclops
I felt bad for Ben bc when Olivia asked him on his opinion of the movie, he was actually getting ready to answer! But she was just joking... and she kept interrupting lol
Oscar Isaac as Apocalyspe was sitting in between his 4 Horsemen in this video. Michael Fassbender's Magneto was sitting on his right-side, Olivia Munn's Psyclocke on his left side, and then next to Ben Hardy's Angel, and the new Storm. The sitting was so well-arranged
Michael is..... Sigh. So fucking gorgeous, I can't. Now I've got to watch this again because I have no idea what those people were talking about, I was focused on him.
Real talk this panel was very awkward, even with the first class cast. I felt like the only person I liked here was hugh. Days of future past panel was better :/
Amon Yao I felt that way too. And at parts when the centre part of the actors were kind of talking whilst their fellow cast mates were being asked questions felt a little awkward and disrespectful imo.
Carly Cooper Yes, I was confused as to why so many of them were talking whilst other cast mates had the mic. It did seem disrespectful and several of them made inappropriate comments. And Hugh is a total sweetheart, but I did feel it was really awkward how he didn't have a seat. And Bryan Singer made it so awkward with Hugh before he left so even that turned weird. So the one part of the panel that wasn't awkward, still turned awkward.
And he kept his promise, logan was the best movie in the xmen franchise, and one of the best for a superhero film, what an incredible way to say goodbye for huge jackman
You notice how Jennifer Lawrence never pulls her punches when answering a question and is never worried about a possible spoiler, like Evan Peters was. Than again I hear shes the most paid Actress right now. So she can get away with that. Not to mention she really is a good actress with movies on all sides of the spectrum, while on the same screen with some real big heavyweight actors and holding her own.
Derrick Witherspoon Right? The Nightcrawler, Cyclops, and Quicksilver actors just kind of were like "yeah cool" and didn't seem interested or happy to be there
Derrick Witherspoon The DMatch Probably they were scary to be in the freaking ''Hall H'' and is their first comic-con or they're just shy and awkward :P (I'm referring to Nightcrawler and Cyclops actors they give me that impression, now about the Quicksilver actor; you're right). I have a good feeling about Tye (Cyclops) he's very talented and made mostly indie films that has great review about his performances :) We just need a good script and development of their characters.
Danny Maximoff nah, both Nightcrawler and Cyclops guys looked just awkward. Especially Cyclops one, all his gestures showed that he is not yet comfortable with all this stuff, how he looked at Sophie after his answer, like, "help me" ;) Damn, I hope so much they will give him and Nightcrawler justice this time. But Singer one time already butchered both characters. X-men movies made joke out of Cyclops too many times. Didn't liked Marsden as Cyke, but Tye great actor. I really, really, really want it work out this time. I'm worried as hell.
Danny Maximoff we can do nothing, but just wait. if that the case, i'm done with singer and x-men, because what the point to hire talented young actor just to not to use him and again butcher Cyclops. I need them to show us real Cyke. The one who is great with tactics and strategy, the one who always lead X-men. I need them to show young guy, who has all abilities to become great leader.
Casemir Solid V Bryan Singer was awkward, but I didn't think Hugh Jackman's part was awkward at all. I thought it was heartfelt and a bit emotional. It was so classy for him to even be there. It shows how much he cares. He flew all the way from Australia, where he has been visiting family for the past month, just to spend a day at Comic Con in San Diego with the fans and his former co-stars before he returns back to Australia. He was saying goodbye to the X-Men fans and to everyone who helped him along the way. Wolverine was his first Hollywood movie and the character and fans mean a lot to him. What you didn't see was - before he came on stage, they had showed footage of his Wolverine audition from 1999. No, he is not in X-Men: Apocalypse other than a possible small cameo, and he is retiring from the X-Men series after playing Wolverine his 8th time in Wolverine 3. He alluded to this being his last time at Comic Con for anything X-Men related. I don't think anyone expected him to actually be there so there was no seat saved for him at the Panel and he had no name card, but it was nice to see some of the new actors get the opportunity to meet him for the first time. He will be missed.
Casemir Solid V lol, by the way, I think this panel was awkward, but Hugh Jackman was the only one who was NOT awkward at all in it! The young cast though ... oh my gosh.
Theresa Mahfood No I agree Jackman wasnt the ackward part it was Bryan Singer that made it awkward for the whole panel. I wonder why was so awkward tho. It almost felt like he fired Jackman and was really apologetic about it
Casemir Solid V Oh, okay. Then I completely agree. I am still confused about why Bryan Singer was so awkward. He did seem apologetic about something. I can't say whether he actually fired him and it is still honestly unknown whether Hugh Jackman even has a cameo in Apocalypse despite imdb listing him as being included. Hugh certainly did not film with them in Montreal. I have no idea what was going and why Bryan was acting like that. He could also just have an awkward sense of humor, but that end part before Hugh left really baffled me.
So much rudeness from some of the more famous members of the cast. It's like being at school with all the cool kids chatting away at the back of the class.
Did anyone else notice that when Hugh sat on Jen's Lao, Nicholas looked really awkward. And again when Jen walked in and hugged people Nicholas when to hug her then thought better of it. But great job to them for keeping it professional
Ngl, James saved the whole panel. After the bit with Hugh it seemed like everything was so awkward and forced. It seemed like nobody wanted to be there except for James, Fassy, And Oscar. James saved the interview just by being himself (the one time he spoke)
After reading through the comments I knew olivia munn was gunna do something stupid, but dear lord jesus that was brutal as fuck. I had to pause the video and take breaks throughout her interview part.
3:00 Hugh: That is literally the first time, I've seen you run ever. Bryan: Ever, I don't run. Hugh: Are you okay? Bryan: I made it. Hugh: Paramdic!? Bryan: No, I'm okay. 👏👏👏🤩🤩🤩🔥🔥🔥
This panel was disappointingly short and it felt like the cast were too busy dicking around to actually speak properly about the film. I'm still excited, but I wish they would have shown more respect for the audience wanting to hear them.
surprised that most people have so little to say about their characters. it makes me think that the characterizations in the movie will be flat and boring, with the exception of McAvoy and Fassbender and especially Oscar Isaac who had interesting stuff to say
jaketaz it's hard to try and talk a full sensical sentece in front of thousands of people than act in front of cast and crews you know as friends and coworks
jaketaz they're probably restricting themselves from giving away parts of the plot and stuff. If you've seen tumblr, people are hysterical over Fassbender's hints on Magneto's life.
THIS IS THE X-MEN MOVIE THAT I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!! The all young cast is going to be amazing! It's basically like X-Men: Evolution is being turned into a live action movie and my childhood is crying with happiness. I AM SO EXCITED AND EVERYONE ON THE CAST IS PERFECT FOR THEIR ROLE!
