This movie was AMAZING! The pace was excellent, the character development was there, the writing was excellent. Most importantly it basically erased the bullshit that was X3 The Last Stand. Brian Singer came back and ended all the bullshit thank god!
quicksilver was great needed more of him, the time travel was a bit confusing but it undid x3 and the deadpool fuckup and make sure to watch the post credit scene
Yeah but it did do a few other things that were weren't explained well and actually connects to other films that people considered as crap for the X-men. But this is considered good mainly because Bryan Singer is back as a director even though did similar things that pretty much made the other X-men films considered as horrible.
Just saw X-men days of Future past. Pretty good film, I was never bored. Though I have a lot of questions. The majority of them revolving around Wolverine's Claws. My Rating for it would probably be Matinee but honestly I didnt dislike anything about it, I just didnt love it sooooo...hmmm Ill give it a Full Price.
I fukking hate that they do that shit cut out important stuff. I seen the Rouge cut recently and even after loving the theatrical version was like "this is so much better"
Its funny Korey saying that about James McAvoy in the movie, cause it came out that he destroyed his marriage having a affair with Alexandra Shipp, and she was dank as Storm in this movie. DOFP was a very solid movie i loved it.
It was a great movie. I don't understand how ppl don't understand the timeline stuff. Its simply. Stop Mystique from killing Trask so the at the Sentinel future doesn't happen, thus a new timeline is created. Simply and keep it simple. Great movie and the climax was different from those like in other superhero movies. This climax with the stadium and the end with Magneto with the guns, it was great. Loved every minute of it. After Dark knight this movie my favorite superhero movie
Stopping Mystique wouldn't prevent the Future Sentinels program. If Trask Industries don't get her, then they probably can't create the Super Sentinels, but normal Sentinels would still exist. What really stopped that future, was Trask being arrested and his company falling in disgrace.
Mystique's part, or "role", in the story is a bit of a "sticking point" for me; if she was captured and experimented on (which lead to the "dark" apocalyptic future) then why did she seem perfectly fine in the first 2 _X-Men_ movies..? If they experimented on her and found the key to making unstoppable Sentinels in her DNA, shouldn't she be dead..?
+Paradox Acres I assumed she escaped or was rescued--they kept her alive to continue experimenting on her. And she's able to physically recover, but emotionally...she's turned to the dark-side.
the last part where Wolverine sees his old friends is awesome, but bringing back Jean, Phoenix (whatever) is kind of negating the entire thing, isn't it?
If the _X-Men_ movies had any balls, they'd have the X-Men team up with humans (FBI, Secret Service, James Bond, etc) to take down Magneto. He's obviously the biggest threat to peace. I'm so sick of seeing Magneto *almost murder* his fellow mutants and..they just forgive him the next scene. How much abuse are you guys gonna take..?
***** The government A-Team. It makes no sense how weak the US agents are in the X-Men movies. What do you mean "nobody forgives Magneto"? He almost *murdered* Mystique in broad daylight! He *paralyzed* Xavier! He nearly *drowned* Wolverine! Magneto gets away with _everything_ in the movies and people just let it go. He's just as dangerous as Stryker or Trask, but..I guess it's OK because he's one of them (a mutant).
They took a shot at it in the film when one of the guys said something towards peter's character. Originally he wasn't a small person though. they DID address it though.
I have to say, i was all Magneto Team, when they did the movie that explained how xavier and magneto met. They were all cool, away in some island, and here comes the diluted humans to kill them......you bet Im on Magnetos side!
just watched X-men days of Future Past and loved it. Sure, it had hokey plotpoints or story parts that made very little sense, even for X-Men standards. Still liked it cuz it reversed a lot of the 'bad' films. If the hobbit 3 also rocks hat ll be a good year for me :p
WTF? I can't believe all the hate this movie get for the tiny, little details when the MCU is full of flaws in logic and storytelling... but no one ever says anything bad about them. This movie was a technical masterpiece. You have GREAT dramatic acting from some great actors, young and old. You have the best shot CBM action ever. You have the best, most complex story in Marvel history and it's told very well IMO. In short, X-Men: Days of Future Past is the best CBM ever made.
No disrespect meant toward you and Korey, Martin. But I loved the Godzilla movie and plan on seeing it again tomorrow. When you say it "failed to build up properly," I felt it did just fine with that. It reminded me of the old Godzilla flicks. Where they showed the G-Man when it was necessary and focused on the main element. If a movie showed all the bang it had too early, people may lose interest
I couldn't stand all the build up. Don't get me wrong, the final fight was awesome, but it just wasn't worth all the boring scenes I had to go through to get to it. Not to mention the total lack of human character in the film.
We all need to be positive and let Guardians of Galaxy pull the hat trick, so we can say we had three really good superhero films this year. Sorry spidey you didn't make the cut.
love how there was so much hate for quicksilver now people are praising him lol. i loved him from day one with the comments on youtube and comicvine to prove it. dont get the hate, he looks just like all the other xmen: black leather. and i like that even peters, great actor and a cutie
This deviated from DoFP from the comics or even the 90s cartoon so much. Of course, since it's an X-men movie it's going to be just "ok", but it could've been far better. I think the X-movie just do so well because it's an ensemble cast, as oppose to a single character-driven movie (like: Superman, Batman, Spidey, Ironman, Cap). However, this seems to be the downfall of Singer's X-movies. He concentrates too much on just 1 character (Wolverine & now Mystique), when the X-men is about a team of super heroes & the dynamics of their relationship with each other.
Actually, Mystique has got little screentime in the latest films. Estimates show that in DOFP and XMA she got less screentime than in First Class. Xavier is the one that gets tons of screentime comparable to Wolverine. Mystique was also pretty useless in Apocalypse and characters like Magneto, Beast, Jean, Scott got as much screentime as her.
+Harley Quinn's Epic Rape Face She probably got less screen time because J-Law didn't want to play the role of Mystique (as evidenced by her lackluster performance & her refusal to dawn the blue make-up, much). Regardless of this, it's obvious Mystique became the focal point of "the new run" of X-men movies. I'm sure X-23 will become the focal point of future X-men movies, now that ppl liked her in the Logan movie. It makes sense, considering she's essentially female Wolverine. Wolverine was the focus of most of the X-men movies & the whole SJW movement in movies will applaud a female star. I have no issue w/ it, I actually like Laura better than Logan.
In Singer's eyes, the focal point has been Xavier and/or Magneto. He's said so in interviews. He views Mystique in DOFP as a mcgriffin like she was in the original DOFP. In Apocalypse, Singer mentioned how the title villian was met to be a foil for Xavier and that Magneto's arc was the most important arc of the film. After all, he did replace Warren as the central horsemen, the original storyline had him as the main character. As for, X-23. She is not going to be the focal point. That role bellows to Xavier and Jean.
+Harley Quinn's Epic Rape Face I don't really trust Singer. And of course he's going to say that, considering J-Law voiced her dislike of being the X-movies. Mystique being a mcguffin in DoFP didn't really make much sense, considering her powers didn't even work in the manner in which it would allow sentinels to take on & adapt to mutant powers. Rogue would've made more sense, like in "the Rogue cut" of the movie. Mags is Xavier's foil, not Apoc. though. It's always been that way, since Mags 1st debuted. Onslaught is more of a foil than to Xavier than Apoc. Well X-Apoc. movie was horribly written, so Singer just concentrated on giving Mags an arc, but none of the other "fake" Horsemen--who's power didn't even match their designations, which none of them were even given (Archangel isn't even known to general audiences). I meant future installments, not the next movie. They want to do the Phoenix & Dark Phoenix sagas so badly because they are among the most popular arcs in X-men lore. The studio wants to "do them right", after X3 got flack, but still had a BIG box office.
Apocalypse in X-Factor was represented as a foil for a Xavier. A character can have multiple foils, just look at Batman who has several. And in the original story horsemen didn't have arc either.
The only thing I think this movie failed at was the plot of stooping mystique. All the emotional character moments and action made up for it. I just didn't care for the mystique scenes. Other then that pretty good film. 8 out of 10. The 3rd act had really good action.
Korey, there's this thing called "Goo-gone" It's wonderful at removing stickers. Just soak the sticker with it and it just peels right off. Please use it on that barcode sticker on Martin's mic boom.
I really did enjoy this movie and Logan aka Wolverine played by Huge Jackman he did a great job as the main character in this movie and he was so awesome for this role and he is badass as this character too and Charles Xavier played by James McAvoy he did a great job in this movie and he was so good for this role and it was nice to see his character back in this movie too and Erik Lehnsherr played by Michael Fassbender he did a good job in this movie and he was so awesome for this role and he is badass as the villain in this movie too and it was nice to see his character back in this movie too and Storm played by my girl Halle Berry she did a great job but she was barley in this film tho but it was nice to see her character back for this role though and she is so incredibly sexy as hell bro and she is so gorgeous too and I’m always a huge fan of her now love her to death man and same goes for Rogue played by my other girl Anna Paguin she did alright job but she was barley in this movie though as she is so wasted in this film too but it was nice to see her character back for this movie though and she sure is so incredible sexy as hell bruh and she is so gorgeous too and I’m always a huge fan of her now too loved her to death man and Kitty Pryde played by Ellen Page she did a great job too but she was barley in this movie though but it was nice to see her character back for this movie too and she is so pretty in this film and Old Erik Lehnsherr played by Ian McKellen he did a great job too but he was barley in this movie though but it was nice to see his character back for this movie role though and finally Professor X played by Patrick Stewart he did a good job too as well and he was awesome for this role but he was barley in this film too but it was nice to see his character back for this movie too and can’t believe it’s been 10 years now since this movie came out and that’s insane it’s been that many decades ago now and it makes it the 10th Anniversary when this movie was released in theaters back then and time sure does flies in the movie world that’s for damn sure Korey and overall I’m gonna give X-Men Days of Future Past (2014) a 9.5/10 stars I really did enjoyed this movie but didn’t not like the ending that much but that’s just me though Korey in my opinions and thoughts on this movie Double Toasted bruh
I found the Segway from Magneto and Professor X having some gay tension to mentioning Peter Dinklage funny. It made Peter Dinklage name just sound like some type of gay porno. FYI I am not a homophobe or a gay basher just thought it was funny.
The Peter Dinkledge comments are gross, and his character's height was never a significant thing and he did earn the role by being the best for the audition. Dwarfism is just a way of existing, it's not something to laugh at.
