nobody mention how much more attractive they made rogue once she "joined the good side" she went from short hair, aged 40+, and a permanent scowl to flowing hair 20 something and habitually sweet.
This is great, I’ve been looking for narration and explanation type videos using these classic stories, thank you so much! I especially like the breakdown at the end, I hope you are able to continue to make Marvel videos like this.
Complaining about a lack of wokeness in 88 when that decade was literally unwoke is an odd take but yeah I loved mutant massacre and fall of the mutants. Silvestris X-Men in Dallas is glorious and XFactor and Ship was a trip. The Right killing Cypher was a big deal.
I’m only here because I’m reading through Daredevil and Archangel and a weird looking horse robot just inexplicably came zipping in for a few panels, sent the entire city in a blackout and left without elaborating. Glad to know what’s going on. Even though it doesn’t make any sense to an outsider 😂
That would be confusing. I did feel the Fall tie ins were pretty forced. I think they only did it because they had already done it with Mutant Massacre before this.
The difference between Storm being leader in the 80s vs now is that a) It wasn't done in the 80s BECAUSE Storm was a black woman b) Marvel weren't calling anyone 'toxic bigots' if they happened to not like it or prefer Cyclops remain as the leader c) Chris Claremont wrote Storm first and foremost as a character, not a vessel for a social political agenda. In other words it was written well and not like dog shit. Oh, and there was no transparent ESG driven reasons as for why he did it.
Can't just enjoy a simple content without political nonsense.... I don't care if your left or right. I don't watch Fox or CNN so I sure don't want my commentary coming from a dude explaining comic plots
You should stop commenting on wokenss. It is irrelevant to your subject matter and only breeds division. For your channels sake, there is no way it gains you more subscribers and will most likely cause an opposite reaction. From someone who follows X-men stories, you should realize that dehumanizing people of differing viewpoints is what allows evil to thrive in this world. Please continue making good content with humor and positivity.
I don't see your point of adding "wokeness" to your dialogue (which is just another way of saying "black."). Black people buy comics, too. I was one of them. Out of clear nostalgia and good faith, interest in this storyline brought me to you and then, of course, the typical thinly-veiled anti-black rhetoric reared its beastly head. Normally, I would ignore something like this, but I learned some time ago that an untreated sore leads to a festering one. Here's me treating the sore. Later. Much later.
I'm super confused by this comment, seeing as I was criticizing people that complain about "wokeness" precisely because I was pointing out how stupid it was to do so. It seems like you're accusing me of complaining about "wokeness" myself. Not sure you actually watched the video.
