To clarify since it wasn't clearly stated during the video: Whenever Moira is resurrected, she's born to the same parents at the same time, but with all the information of her previous lives. She isn't reborn at a time after her death. That's how she knew where and when to find Xavier in each of her lives. Let's say she was born in 1970 (I Don't think that's the date in the book, but it's better explained via an example), and she dies in 2020, She'll be reborn again in 1970 (Think Groundhog Day). She doesn't move forward in time each time she dies.

I mean, getting the movie rights back and having a good storyline coming have no correlation together but they're both awesome. Imagine if they made this comic run into the first movies they make. They'd obviously have to make it more coherent for the casual movie-goers but it'd be an awesome run

Firmini Gaming it kinda does have causation tho, since they didn’t have the movie rights, marvel stopped putting a lot of work into xmen and more into inhumans, their way of replacing them

HoX/PoX. Whether you find what the X-Men are doing is liberating or you find what they are doing is off and disturbing, we can all agree it's just Moira trying to go for the perfect, good end playthrough.

I haven't really wanted what the X-books have been offering over the last few years (actually more like a decade now...) as a general rule; but if the books keep on like these have they definitely have the potential to draw me back to them.

I know historically it hasn't done well, being here since 2015. But, this feels like a new inspiration for a new audience and a great jumping on point. Something this channel thrives with. We should do the X-Men books!

Guess I'm late to the party - just finished reading these books. Perhaps you've already answered this - how did you re-assemble the 4 different times periods AND sort through the chronology of Moira's 10 lives?! This was an excellent re-cap of the story from start to finish. Well done! The sheer scope of this storyline just blows my mind combining the classic X-Men stories of the 80's and 90's and putting it all together! WOW! What an incredible story. Thanks!

Not really. The Avatar reincarnates upon death and becomes a new person. Moira is in what is essentially a timeloop, she will always be born as herself, to the same parents, have the same childhood until she turns sixteen and regains her memories of the previous timelines, and the ends and restarts upon her death. She can change events and isn't locked to a specific set of circumstances, but it is a timeloop with a limited lives system.

What people seem to miss is that this isn't just a soft reboot. The entire history of the X-Men as we know it has changed dramatically. This also changes the events of Marvel comics in general but to a lesser degree. Not that I don't like the story as it is being presented but there are massive amounts of events in the former timeline that will need to be explained away.

complete reboots don't work with Marvel, Marvel relies on continuity. i see this more as a way of explaining why, no matter how many times the X-Men are defeated, they ALWAYS come back. but we shouldn't think these characters haven't lived everything that happened in the past- i mean, Dark Phoenix, Mutant Massacre, Australia, Genosha, Onslaught, New X-Men, Messiah Complex, Schism, "Join the Revolution", etc, etc. The memories are all there, I haven't seen yet any particular event described as non canon by Hickman or any of the characters

Emma didn’t want Destiny resurrected. It was actually Mystique who was promised by Charles to have her resurrected. Apparently, they were lovers. Great synopsis though! Your voice is epic!

I love your channel but you do a lot more DC than Marvel and currently Marvel comics are being so so much better. please do more marvel videos and x-men videos, because hickman made the mutants so good that's not reading the x-men comics is a mistake
