More About X-Men's Storm: Storm is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by writer Len Wein and artist Dave Cockrum, first appearing in Giant-Size X-Men #1 (May 1975). Cockrum's original concept for a character with the power of weather control was of a male. This changed after he realized that multiple females with cat-related abilities, his first idea for a black female hero, had been created and were in development.

Ok, quick X-Men 101: The original X-Men #1-93 (Cylcops, Jean Grey, Ice Man, Angle and Beast: Also who became X-Factor in 1986) This was 1963-1975, so Silver Age to five years into the Bronze Age. Kirby and Lee did most of the heavy lifting, but issues of note are: Sterenko did a few, but Neal Adams Run #56-63 are considered the best. The issues after that up until #93 are just reprints of the beginning issues by Kirby and Lee. Giant Size X-Men (1975) written by Lyn Wein and drawn by Dave Cockrum. Introduced the all new, all different X-Men. (Storm, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Banshee, Wolverine (appeared before), Thunderbird and Sunfire). This is where X-Men started to become popular. Until then the book was tanking and even Neal Adams couldn't save it. Issues (94-107) The beginning of Chris Claremont's X-Men. Art by Cockrum. Most notable issues is the Phoenix Saga starting at issue #101. Issues (108-143) The John Byrne run. Considered the best X-Men run by most, followed by JIM Lee's run much later. Most notable issues are the Dark Pheonix sage, first appearence of Kitty Pryde and Emma Frost and Days of Future Past. Issues (144-164) Dave Cockrum returns. Carol Danvers as Binary is introduced. Issues (165-170) Paul smith's short run. Storm defeats Calisto in a knife duel for leadership of the Morlocks. Issue (171) guest pencils by Walt Simonson and Rogue Joins the team. (not her first appearance). After that John Romita Jr starts his long run, a few issues by Barry Windsor-Smith, Storm gets her iconic mowhawk, Rachel Summers enters the picture. This pretty much goes up until 1985, which ends the Bronze age. The modern age 1985+ is X-Men 102: You can ask me anything. My memory is going, so I myself have to go back and reread stuff.

Why didn’t you talk about her bob with the long tendrils of hair. It’s part of your history as well.
