X-Men (Sega Genesis) Game Playthrough Retro game 

I've got this game on genesis I still can't beat it

I started this video hoping to get a bunch of nostalgia... but I forgot that I could never get past the first level back then... so only 1st level nostalgia for me

One of the best games I ever rented from my small town video store.

The hitting reset part blew my mind when I accidentally figured it out.

I remember always getting to the mojo level and never knowing what to do at the very end. My soul died when I found out that you actually had to press the reset button on the genesis to progress.

I had this game when I was a kid. I used up my powers as Wolverine and started killing myself. I thought my genesis was broken.

My first thought seeing the satellite shooting waves, I was like, "wait, are they using binary codes to frequency radiowaves?" Mind blown... I got to get better pot.

damn that was relaxing... now to watch a video with someone beating NINJA TURTLES for NES!!

I loved when Cyclops was more known for his jump-kick mutant power.

this is probably the only game in history that actually required you to press the reset button later in the game

As a child I got beat by dad for trying to play this game late night. The damn intro woke everyone up. I learned the mojo world reset from frustration and hit the reset button. I ended up learning tricks of the levels from the GamePro magazine.

Man the nostalgia. Still have this. Along with Arcus Odyssey and a few other gems.

Very impressive. You make magneto's level look easy and that's no mean feat.

As much as I am a fan of the X-Men & Sega Genesis I can't believe I never played this game.

Crazy to think that this was a 25 minutes game. I too could never get past the first level as a kid, lmaooooooooo!!!

I don’t know why I remember the end but I always felt that it was a part that the whole board was suppose to explode when it trapped you in there🤔 it was a countdown of some sort🤔

I use to have this game not long after it came out back in "1993" it was a hit back then. I wonder where old goat (Today, but not then) can get their hands on a "SEGA GENESIS" Today? And here nearly "30-years" later: I still love watching old videos like this if nothing else just to: "TAKE A TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE". THANK YOU FOR ALL THE MEMORIES. P.S: OF COURSE I'VE BEATEN THE GAME BEFORE A FEW TIMES.

LOVED this game!

Surprised at not using nightcrawler. Aside from the obvious easy movement through the lighthouse level, his kicks are outstanding. You can jump the chasms in the future past level SO easy with his jump kick

Haven't played this in almost 3 decades :O I remember dying so many times in the fourth stage

I always got up to 13min and because I was on easy it use to end only past couple years ago did I find out you need to do it on a harder setting

I remember playing this as a kid and rage quitting often. Is it just me or was this game ridiculously hard? Maybe it was because I was just a kid, but I was really good at other games. I think this one just had really clunky and shitty controls.

Nightcrawler really breaks the game but I can’t beat it without him. Especially the last level the amount you can skip by going through the walls is the only way it’s possible.

The colors pop on this game i remember using gambit he was my favorite xmen besides wolverine at the time cyclops was chunky then too this was around the time that arcade beat em up came out that had 4 joysticks at the arcades

when i was young, i've ever played this game but never beat magneto in final , I like nightcrawler as Hero.

The '95 X-Men games were the best. Not so much so on Sega compared to SNES (in my opinion). Couldn't get past the Apocalypse; by then, I was out of Special Characters coming in on screen and used up my favorite character to the brink of death and no Special Meter. But I'll say: I would've been motivated if 20:53 appeared early... and more often. Call me whatever, butt that looks beautiful! 😉

Why does the music seem slowed down?

I sort of wish you had fought Sabertooth without cheese. ^_^ But I understand, it's fine. I'll go ahead and do that as I can't remember how to get past him. I probably did that as a kid as well. Have to say though, after all the hours I played this as a kid... sort of hurt to see if it finished in 30 minutes.

This game has not aged well at all. I played it in '93 when it was new. The controls were awful even then, but man the sound is far worse than I remember. Bad TVs apparently masked the assness.

I’m embarrassed to say I never knew how to get past the water in the second level. Never realized how to use iceman.

Played the hell out of this game as a kid, and yes I beat Magneto at the end! The trick for me was to learn which characters worked best at each level. Level 1 Gambit, Level 2 Cyclops then switch half way to Nightcrawler, Level 3 Gambit then switch to Nightcrawler at the end (teleportation came in handy), Level 4 Gambit then switch to Wolverine, Level 5 Cyclops then switch to Wolverine, Final Level Gambit or Cyclops then switch to Nightcrawler at the end. Nightcrawlers bamfs seemed to hurt Magneto faster.

This game was legit back in the 93 we had to play 3 players always snapping on the guy who couldn’t make it up top and kept loosing the life reserves lol dope ass game brings me back to my child hood yo

I can't express how much I love these old school graphics. The Mega Drive was amazing. I still have mine. Just need the wire to connect it to a TV. I think one of my friends stole it because theirs broke.

I remember a great feeling of accomplishment when I beat this game. Having to start all over each game was the frustrating part rather than starting out on the level you left off at. I remember using Cyclop's blasts a lot more than you did though. What's with the no love for Wolverine? I recall him being really good with his healing factor. He especially excelled in the Sentinels board. I remember jumping across the chasms and then using the dive move he had to slice through the turrets.

Can some make a new X men game like this 1 hit of a RPG game type with better graphics and better powers. Where's the X-Men game for next gen. Too many wack games are being made but they all are not worth my money.

All the new tech for games and we can't get an x men game on PS5? It's been years since a proper X-Men game like this has been on the market. This was a hard game to beat as a kid..lots of hours lol.

I never beat this game because i never figured out that you're supposed to hit the reset button. I was a kid, as far as I knew that'd just start the game over lmao. Devs were pretty sly though, figuring out a way to make the reset button continue the game like that.
