The Charles return in the hospital was based on an early scene where Charles discusses ethics, where he shows a man without a conscious. Charles chose to go into his body, and live again.
@@Сайтамен Xavier is the brain-dead twin brother of Charles Xavier whose body Charles inhabited in the original timeline after his body was disintegrated by Jean Grey.
If you are wondering, James marsden role as cyclops was reduced because he was busy working in Superman returns as well. Most fans didn't like how he was ... basically turned into a bitter man. I guess it was the directors way to give the character an exit in the middle of the movie production.
I was one of those people lol. Cyclops was my favorite X-Men character in the original animated series. Then when these movies came out, I just couldn't force myself to like him. Too whiney, too entitled, too much of a jerk.
"Is that some kind of foreshadowing that something is going to happen?" Yes, it's foreshadowing the events of Days of Future Past which comes after the 2 Wolverine films and First Class.
43:21 this is professor X twin brother and before death he transferred hes mind in to hes body reason he asked doctors to keep him alive was just in case something like this happens
I took me multiple viewings of this to realize why Hank sounded so familiar, not having bothered reading the credit. I still can't believe it is Kelsey "Frasier" Grammer playing the role, he just seems so relaxed into a part so different to anything else I;ve seen him in.
Phoenix is one of the strongest characters in the marvel verse. Only The One Above All is above her for sure! She beat Galactus & is a cosmic being/God. This movie is literally like 0.1% of her power 💯
That final scene has gotten my surprise of Charles Xavier actually used his powers to bring back his body together and of course Magneto's power was about to return of the cure wearing off
I honestly didn’t think the movie was that bad. It’s not good, but it was alright with some fun moments. I’m just upset because of this movie and Dark Phoenix, the MCU is unlikely to do the Dark Phoniex Saga.
8:10 exactly - MAKING IT a competition/issue The overwhelming majority of people honestly don’t care, the majority of mutants just keep it private and get along Sadly there are peo0e on the extreme ends of both sides…idiots who are convinced anything different is dangerous, which potentially US dangerous, but fail to see that their rhetoric is viewed as provocation And on the other side you have the mutants who aren’t able to let past issue go and progress forward, those who are convinced that any politeness or respect is only to hide their fear and hatred, even when there is no fear and hatred, thus fueling the fires of the other sides rhetoric Sadly all too common throughout many “issues” in the world. Some individuals ruin it for everyone else, and others refuse to even accept that they aren’t as bad of as they have convinced themselves they are…
X-Men Movies X-Men, X-Men: United X-Men: The Last Stand X-Men: First Class X-Men: Days Of Future Past X-Men: Apocalypse X-Men: Dark Phoenix Wolverine Movies X-Men: Origins Wolverine The Wolverine, Logan,
AVI ARAD worked on the first movies as executive producer But for the 3rd movie, he decided to step in as the main producer That's why we got a movie done by a director with no passion, and a limited story overstuffed with characters, just so he could sell more toys #IBlameAviArad
Magneto goes about things from the wrong way. He basically is his own self destroyer. He needs to clear his mind and shut up so Charles can move things properly. Magneto keeps threatening, no wonder the humans don't like the mutants. He ruins everything .
Hey hey now…remember the rule of wokeness and “present-ism”…we aren’t allowed to acknowledge that “Ellen” page ever existed as they call themselves “Elliot” now…
Magy - just wanted to make sure you get something straight, so that - when you're speaking to someone - you don't mis-speak and embarrass *both* of you! The son was trying "to please his Dad", he was *not* trying "to pleasure his Dad" - *that* would be something else entirely! And would involve *both* of them going through therapy for quite some time, most likely! The French-speakers and Chinese-speakers like to say that English is crude and un-refined, but actually it can be *very* nuanced and subtle, as that demonstrates! Magneto tosses her aside like she's nothing because - to him - she is _actually_ *nothing!* He is all about making the mutants into, essentially, 'the Master Race', and the heirs and Rulers of Earth and humans! Humans are, to him, as important and worthy of attention as flies or gnats; which is to say that they're really more of an annoyance than anything else!
Wolverine is much older than he looks. He was around in WWII in Japan. His life has been full of death and disasters, and he has had many heartbreaking moments in his life. This was just one more.
@@nsasupporter7557 I think what they are talking about is that people usually look over this movie and don't appreciate it, so therefore its underrated.
Jimmy was in the Milla Jovovich movie Ultraviolet as "Six" (quite cheesy). This is my favorite of the original trilogy. If I were Rogue, I would've chosen to become normal. I assume you'll be watching the prequels next. Would love to see a battle with her and Wanda.
Fun Fact: Wolverine's pants in the final confrontation are actually digital because originally his uniform was burned down to his underwear. But they were afraid to lose the PG-13 rating so they gave him pants.
Remember that Magneto was a Jew in a concentration camp. Of course he fears extermination. I agree that Magneto is a cool character. He is not evil for the sake of evil. He has goals that are more that just "more power for me". Magneto cares about mutants and wants the best for them. The novelization of the movie went into details about the dangers of the cure. For example, Kitty who can phase into solid walls should not take the cure when inside something.
Mags, this wasn’t directed by Bryan Singer, who did the first two, because he decided to direct Superman Returns instead, which was his “sequel” to the first two classic Superman films by Richard Donner in 1978 and 1980 (you should REALLY watch those). James Marsden (Cyclops) was in it, which is why he’s not in this much, sadly. This X sequel was directed by Brett Ratner, who directed the Rush Hour trilogy. You’ll love them. They have great action and comedy.
Also fun fact well two magy. Juggernaut isn't actually a mutant, but is a recurring villain to the x-men he also happens to be charles brother. Far as His powers go, they come from elsewhere. The 3rd bonus fun fact when he goes I'm the juggernaut B-word, it's a reference to a fan parody voice over from youtube where the character says those words.
I was so happy they put some respect on Storm name in this movie. In the last two movies, they made it to where she seemed a little weak and she didn't really do much but showed her eyes change and did her weather powers. Which was cool but in this one, she actually did some combo moves and was going crazy. That's what I loved.
X men timeline X men first class X men origins wolverine X men X2 X men the last stand The wolverine X men days of future past --new timeline-- X men apocalypse X men dark phoenix Deadpool The new mutants Logan Deadpool 2
"Like, he is using them as a shield." This is an acceptable turn of phrase, but it usually implies that the one person is holding someone else directly between themselves and a threat in order to protect themselves. A better term for _this_ scenario, where you sacrifice many "less valuable" people to soak up damage in a battle, is to call those people "cannon fodder."
I don't see that way. Even being that diferent from the other two movies, The Last Stand still kept the message and the spirit of the X-Men, this movie was really well directed actually. But the Dark Phoenix one...I just can't handle that lol.
This movie had so many changes and shortcuts taken from the proper X-Men stories. They made a joke of Juggernaut (who was never a mutant) but they did make him correctly in Deadpool 2. As for what The Phoenix really is and how powerful it really is... honestly you should watch X-Men: The Animated Series from the 1990's, it was awesome and there is so much you will find out about it is well worth it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-di6DocEkruk.html
It was a good movie, even its not perfect as previous two, If only this was handle by Bryan Singer as well, director of previous two movies. I like its theme, a "mutant cure" that causes serious repercussions among mutants and humans, similar with the COVID vaccination hesitancy in nowadays.
People shouldn't blame Simon Kinberg and Zak Penn for stuffing so much characters in THE LAST STAND That was probably AVI ARAD's call so he could sell more toys Considering that he stepped in as main producer for the 3rd movie after working as executive producer for the first two movies #IBlameAviArad
@@benmiller3252 Don’t listen to him. He’s a user that keeps spamming this same stuff about Avi Arad on every reaction channel whenever someone react to a Sony/Marvel film. Whichever reaction channel you’re on, he’s always there.
@@benmiller3252 Arad was the one who ruined Sam Raimi's ambition by forcing him to include Venom in Spider-Man 3 And it was because of him that TASM2 failed
Great emotional reactions to one of the sadder X-Men films, Magy!!!🎬👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽This film really highlights how foolish any form of discrimination is. Even Magneto just tosses Mystique away, after she takes the cure to save him. Have a nice weekend, Magy! Monday is Labor Day in the U.S. and a holiday here, so it is a long weekend.
she says here she thinks the cure shouldn't be forced and they should have a choice, I wonder if she holds the same standard in regard to the Covid jab.
Here in Australia it was a bit more sinister…you had the freedom to choose not to get the jab…but if you made that choice, which you were well within your rights to choose…there were consequences that befell you…specifically that employers were not allowed to employ anyone who didn’t have the jab… So it was one of those illusory choices where the gov would say “you don’t have to take it”, but then muttering “but if you don’t we will ensure your ability to have any kind of life is destroyed”
LoL no, the cure wasn’t a cure, they manage to withdraw that kid’s power, but without continuous exposure to the power, you recover from it. When Beast was exposed to it, his mutant cells degenerate, but once he was out of reach, his mutant cells regenerated. The effects were longer by weaponising it and introduced into a mutant own cells, but they run out. Same like anaesthetics, you need to keep giving more before the effects wear off. Magneto is actually far more powerful than portrayed in comics, cartoons and this movie. In reality Magneto didn’t need Phoenix, nor an army, never needed henchmen to protect him, but he can’t do multiple task, that’s why mystique is so important to him, she is the infiltrator, spy and special force, magneto is more of a walking nuclear power, unlike the doctor who experimented on him, requires energy, Magneto is more like Phoenix, unlimited power and does not exhaust him. Unfortunately we never seen him do anything to his max potential. Because Magneto can actually bring 7 very heavy shields that could protect him from anything while also have bringing 7 mini guns with over a million rounds. It’s not like all mutants are not using equipments, we got gambit and pyro actually uses them, and Magneto himself used to break out of the plastic prison. So why he never thought of bringing those things? Because same as Xavier, he actually don’t need them, if he wanted to kill humans all he needed was to make all the iron in our bloods concentrated to one point, our heart, and it’s over. It can be an army, it won’t matter.
Next, X-Men origins : Wolverine, for all your Wolverine/Logan questions answered... (and a few Deadpool ones!) You can proceed with the other movies by their release dates, but if you wanna minimize confusions, just jump ahead to The Wolverine (2013) and then Logan (2019) before embarking on the reboot franchise (X-Men : First Class / Days Of Future Past / Apocalypse / Dark Phoenix).
The Phoenix Force is the source of all telekinetic power. It’s a sentient being that chooses a host. One that is able to physically contain its power. As far as cosmic entities go, in Marvel, it’s fairly high up on the scale.
For the people wondering if Phoenix Force could defeat Scarlet Witch; The Phoenix Force went toe to toe with Wanda and got its ass kicked. It wasn’t even close. She shut it down and threw it around like a rag doll. Then she undid all the damage it created.
@@robertsanssouci2093 lmao what are u saying?hahah which comic did you read?it was scott weak host and hope is the one who defeated him keep reading lmaoo
Just keep in mind, both Magneto regaining/retaining his powers, and Charles swapping his consciousness, will feed into future movies. At the time, we thought they were throwaway scenes, or something that would never be touched on again, but they are, which gave me more appreciation for this movie in hindsight.
It's not the Best Cyclops nevers die in X-Men , Jean Death but come Back. He have 2 story Charles Xavier Death : X-Men Apocalypse and Avengers vs X-Men.
I always felt like this movie is when it took the X-Men allegory and turned it from the Civil Rights to Gay Rights. Stan Lee did create the X-Men to be the minorities of the Civil Rights movement. Professor X was always the Martin Luther King of the Civil Rights...choosing peace & trying to become equal with the humans through being allies & friends. And Magneto was Malcolm X's other side of the Civil Rights...where they will take their equality by force if needed. Just 2 sides of the same coin, and that's how they could maintain their friendship. They both want the same end game. But in this movie, you hear a lot of things that have been said about the LGBTQ+ community before from conservative politicians and religious leaders. "It's a disease", "there's a choice", etc. That's the beauty of the X-Men. No matter which type of "outcast" group you belong to, you can relate to the X-Men. Be it like the Civil Rights and Beast...outcast for his skin tone. Or like Rogue...a power that's more hidden/sexual orientation. Or just in general by having been bullied in school or ever seen as an "outsider" for whatever reasons.
33:14 “curing them like this is violating their rights” - that they are using their abilities to attack renders their rights minimised ompared to laws pertaining to self defence…combined with the theory of “play stupid games, win stupid prizes” Take for example comparison some recent incidents where women being arrested would be hitting, kicking police officers…instinctively reacting by throwing a punch back…is that police Prut a little? Or is that the person reaping what they sowed? These mutants would have been able to go through life without being cured by force if they weren’t forfeiting their right to choose by attacking in this manner
Not the greatest X-Men flick... but no where near as bad as its reputation. A lot of questionable choices, but it holds up a lot better than some other movies of its time. lol
Random comment but didn’t you react to Euphoria? I finally watched it and wanted to go back and watch your reactions to certain parts and can’t find them.
