1. Fun fact, the book shows the X-men in order of who join the team first, second, third, etc. 2. Polaris is the daughter of Magneto. She accidentally used her powers during a flight on a plane and killed her mother and step-father and Magneto sensed her Magnetic power and arrived to the scene only to have Mastermind used his powers to wipe her memory of the incident and making it seem like Magneto was the one who attacked the plane, so, she will not hold on to the burden of killing her mother and step-father. However, she found out years later by the help of her boyfriend at the time Iceman about the incident. 3. Cyclops is so underrated. LOL
@@BubblesTheBard Hello. I'd like to apologize for the comment I made four months ago it was rude. I have deleted the comment it was wrong for me to say it I guess sometimes I get a little peeved when I feel passionate about an opinion. But I'm truly sorry.
Myself and a few friends got pretty drunk in the theater watching "Logan" and all 4 of us started crying at the end (while each trying to hide it), but completely failed. Absolute banger of a movie.
I find it amusing that you said that the casting for Wolverine was initially horrible with Hugh Jackman, but he was not the original person cast for the role. That was Dougray Scott, but he got hurt filming Mission Impossible 2 and had to bow out (ruptured ACL or Achillies). And Jackman was the second choice for the role, so imagine how it could have been with Dougray Scott in that role.
I really enjoyed this video (over and over honestly). I find your voice very relaxing and I really like that you're able to do what you do without sounding "rehearsed " or... forced maybe? Basically, you sound so natural in your videos! One more thing that I like about this video in particular is that you really have a decent knowledge of the entire X-Men mythos and grand, overarching storyline(s) which is rare even in comic fans who have been reading comics for decades like myself. Please do more comic book themed videos!
Mutant x was amazing. It was one of the first books I collected regularly from a shop every month. Unlike lots of parralell dimensions in comics, it lasted for years, so it actually got really fleshed out, and characters could die permanitly. Also, storm was a vampire for the whole run, which was awesome.
I used to have this encyclopedia as well when I was a kid!! :D This was so nostalgic for me to watch and I love, love, looove X-Men comics. I become automatically obsessed with any comic, story-line, etc. to do with Jean Grey/Phoenix. ^_^
your vids are so relaxing I fall alseep everytime, it takes me 4 times viewing the vid to actually watch it because im also interested in what ur talkin about but I fall asleep after 10 minutes 😂😂😂
Jen, that may not be a spoiler about the Professor. At the very end of the Last Stand film, there was an Easter Egg after the credits that hinted he had returned. Had you seen that? I totally agree about Sir Patrick being The Only Professor Xavier. :-)
I don't know where you get your super hero books from but if you have a TX-Max near you it's always worth checking in there, i get all my Marvel and DC Books from there, the giant size version hardcovers, sort of 12" x15" versions with the slip cases and they are only a tenner, Bargain
Paper guides become out of date quickly. For example, the appearance of the x-mansion has changed a few times already (the original had 2 floors as shown in the guide). During the time of the first generation x team, the x-mansion was renamed from Professor Xavier's School For Gifted Youngsters to Xavier Institute For Higher Learning. The x-mansion (2nd version) had an x shape starting around 2004 which is not shown in the guide. The x-mansion (x shape) was destroyed during the Messiah Complex event. The third version x-mansion was from 2012 when Wolverine rebuilt it and renamed it Jean Grey School For Higher Learning (in honor of the dead Jean Grey). It seems the central building has 3 floors rather than the old 2 floors. There is a separate left building with seems like 3 floors and separate right building with maybe 3 or 4 floors. In 2017, the x-mansion was moved to Central Park, New York and renamed Xavier Institute For Mutant Education And Outreach.
It is unfortunate that starting from the middle of 2004, marvel got rid of many of its mutant icons like Jean Grey (killed at the end of the Grant Morrison run mid 2004), Professor X (killed at the end of avengers vs x-men in 2012), Wolverine (died at the end of 2014) and Cyclops (died after secret wars and absent from the 2016 Jan relaunches). The current leaders of the x-men seem to be Storm, Kitty Pryde and magneto. 2017 Marvel Legacy event seems to be bringing back the mutant icons like classic Jean Grey and classic Wolverine.
I loved the vid my fav x men member has to be ka zar wolvrine or beast and I'm not wrong but I think sub mariner was an X men once and my fav x men villain has to be quicksilver and juggernaut and maybe magnetto l love the vid can't wait to see more of your vids
@@mcnoodlesthewolfAmericasbutt Sub-Mariner actually was briefly a member of the brotherhood of evil mutants this was during the time when Sub-Mariner was an antagonist.
Comics are just soap operas written to cartoons. I don't know how anyone can follow them! I got into comics in the early 90's. I ordered the "Legends of the Dark Knight" (LOTDK) comics and....maybe the Xmen comic delivered to my house each week. At least for a couple years. The Shi'ar storyline was awful! The one thing I like about it is you can fixate on the stories you love and forget (or at least try) the ones that stink. I also religiously watched the Xmen cartoon (and the Batman one) n the 90's. They were so fun. And I think we can all agree Last Stand was the worst of the Xmen movies so far. I did particularly love the re-invented Charles Xavier from first class....made him so identifiable to me! And while I will applaud Logan as an excellent movie ( already have seen it twice), DOFP just blew me away. What's awesome is the whole theme of it can be seen even today and is a relevant and relatable struggle. Despite its "far-out-ness".... sci-fi comics are amazing!
we are literally the same person w the exact same interests!! legit,we would be best frieds I am the biggest X-men fan and my fa v tv show is BUffy and oh so much more. I must know thoughts on Leigion if you've seen it ?
Another great video! Have you been watching Legion?? Also back in 1996 they made a TV movie of Generation X...check it out. (It's okay :) www.imdb.com/title/tt0116401/?ref_=fn_al_tt_2
Archangel first appeared in 1988 issue 24 of X-Factor. There is a new epic collection for X-Factor, a vol 1 but for arch archangel to appear would be at end of a vol 2 or start of the third.
