Aux pwr is the APU gen.. next to engine gens.. I was a beta tester for this one.. I also flew the GIV for 4 years.. it's an amazing rendition of what I lived in.. if you know how to fly her.. FYI.. 140ish on speed with full flaps is a nice approach speed.. keep your sink rate below 1000fpm below. 1000 feet on approach and you won't get the unstable call.. real life stuff
thats nice to hear! I am about to get type rated in the G4 in a couple of months and thought I play around with this one a little bit before getting into the real thing... Do you have any checklists that you could share with me? =)
Paul Cavasino Thanks so much for watching! It means a lot that you're enjoying the videos! I've been flying live a lot lately on www.twtitch.tv/bill4le if you want to fly along. I have some PilotEdge formation flights coming up
Hey Bill! I just got the airplane and it is nice for a free airplane. But I do have a question. I downloaded the plane and whatnot I put the extracted livery’s folder just in the planes folder and when I go in to xplane it only shows the default livery. Thanks and hope you are doing well!
hmm..I would say just make sure the livery folder you put in the plane folder doesn't have another level in it. Sometimes (especially with 7zip) an extracted file will have extra layer.
@@Bill4LE thanks for replying so fast! It is just one folder not a double layer folder I already tried that. Where does the paint kit need to go? maybe that’s the issue
The best you can afford, really! I have the $40 Thrustmaster HOTAS X and it's been perfectly fine for 3 years. But the newer, most expensive yokes are awesome. It's just a matter of what you're willing to spend.
I have been thinking if a Gulfstream was available for xplane 11, since there is so much time on my hand due to social distancing Bill, I started to watch your old videos.... great plane, do you know if the FMC works fully ? Or if the Beta testers can advise ?
tnx for showing, maybe a test with real perfdata and some checklist >) ? ill be bak home next week and once the NAS is setup i will be back in the cockpit and try this on the 3 cpu system , see how it performs "fully loaded"
hey i have a problem with the fmc, it doesnt let me put in my routes, i have the correct navdata and stuff, but the fmc doesnt want to let me depart on my departure given in simbrief
Hi Charles. Sorry for the late reply. It's not on the .ORG Store it's on the forum. forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/37010-gulfstream-g-iv-sp-v11/
@@MattRoberts1 Do you have the throttle mapped correctly to your throttle quadrant? I'd really need more info to know what could be going on. Once the engines are on and the brakes are release, just advanced the throttles to increase thrust. It might need a little more to get rolling from a standstill but less after that.
In this video because the presenter expects us to endure his evident unfamiliarity with the plane's virtual cockpit, then therefore I gave his stumbling effort a "thumb down" rating. Too bad that he lacked the presence of forethought to practice the engines start procedure before making this amateurish recording.
