Nice job....again. I do agree with one comment made. It would have been a little better had you zoomed in on the instruments as you made adjustments. Other than that, fine job explaining NDBs, which can be somewhat confusing. I'd like to see a video where you program a FMS with VORs, and NDBs and navigate from one to the other landing with either a GPS or ILS approach. Either way...good job as usual Jason. AE
Thanks. Great video. But, is it possible to see the distances from a NDB using a DME instrument in this particular version of Laminar Cessa C172. I can’t figure how. However, do you have a trick to do that.
Question - Chair flying with a 20 year old Chicago Sectional I attempted to tune in to the NDB at my home airport, KEZI. The RBI refused to show any indication that it was picking up a signal. I tuned to another nearby NDB and succeeded in homing in on that frequency. This confused me greatly until I looked at the Chicago Sectional online at SkyVector. The online sectional no longer shows a NDB at KEZI. I assume that was the reason I couldn't pick up that station. So, my question is: Are the NDBs being phased out of existence? And yes, I will purchase a current map!
