To be honest, everything that you said in the video is actually true. When it comes to flight dynamics of planes, X-Plane surely wins as it is made to be a flight simulator that has realistic flight characteristics. It would be nice to see FDS devs do some work on the aerodynamics, for sure, as the realism in the game/simulator isn't close as in X-Plane
Binge watching Swiss001 TOP3 clickbaits until I finally got a Honeywell avionics and Pratt & Whitney UTC RU-vid ads on this video. So proud of you man, despite your inability to recognise Fokker or ATR planes.
Everything said is true. Even though some people say they can't compete because one is on a PC and the other is on a iPad, they can because you can download IF and edit the key binds and connect a joystick or yoke. X-Plane 11 is definitely the better simulator, because even if it is $59.99, it is cheaper over time, but of course, some can't afford it, which is fine, and Infinite Flight would be my second choice. It also has failures, such as bird strikes, and engine fires (Animated smoke and fire) and fuel leaks. Some people say it only has limited planes, but that is false. There are freeware and payware planes that can be installed to X-Plane 11, for mostly cheap prices. If you are starting out with X-Plane 11, I recommend the Zibo 737, as it is free, and is payware quality compared to the Laminar 737. There are also mods that you can install to make your experience better, like TerrainRadar (EGPWS is included), and AviTab, which are also free mods. Infinite Flight is good, however limited aircraft have live cockpits, and some aircraft don't have responsive cockpits at all. The scenery is also the main factor that brings people down, but the multiplayer and ATC engine are 2 masterpieces of Infinite Flight. However, overtime things cost more with Infinite Flight than X-Plane 11, so be weary, for example, Pro on Infinite Flight for 2 years is at least $159.99, which is enough to buy X-Plane 11 twice. Anyway, what I'm trying to sum up here is both simulators are good, but X-Plane 11 stands on top.
I think this is a very fair comparison. I play Infinite Flight because I dont have the right laptop for x plane. If I did I would defenitly play x plane because it is more advanced. Keep up the good work Swiss001!
I play both, and here’s my conclusion. IF is better default wise, like if you buy a subscription and you get all the planes it’s far better. Downloaded planes/scenery on Xplane however IS better. But let’s not forget Xplane11 is Desktop, they have a MAJOR advantage here folks, IF is still great and I play it every day even while I’m playing xplane. So in conclusion they’re both great
Yeh, IF can't compete with X Plane 11, and they run in totally different platforms, but IF is still alive as a Mobile Simulator, in my opinion, only the scenery part should be improved.
Very helpful video, actually helped answer some questions I had about IF... seems like IF might be the better option for me so I’m going to ask for it for Christmas
I think it’s not right to call x-plane cheaper because of the cost of entry. To start you’re going to need a decent piece of hardware while on IF you can run it on just about anything. Also you need all of the cockpit instruments which can add up quick if you want a wholesome experience. Another thing is that infinite flight is still very much developing and plans to add new features. Overall I think IF is better because it costs less. Once you add up a decent computer, instruments, the game itself, and a couple of add on planes, it’ll be more clear why infinite flight is a better value.
You can also do fails on X-Plane... You may do so many things that you cannot do in Infinite Flight. Some payware aircrafts even have emergency slides like FlightFactor Boeing 777
I still like X plane 11 because it has the realistic details and I know X plane 11 has a few and a few of my favorite planes witch is the MDougals Dougals MD-80 AND 737-800
IN if hes 30,00 feet but x plane 11............. lets not talk but x plane 11 is way better EDITED: For everyone who didnt understand .... i meant like idk 1,00 feet
Omg Swiss today I got to go to Air Canada’s flight simulator center and actually fly a 787 even though I’m a kid it was pretty easy and I’m not telling a joke!
Hmm False on the planes though. You can download loads of planes in store.x-plane.org or forums.x-plane.org. There are loads of perfect planes either. I'll definitely choose X-Plane
