Are you familiar with the Scenery Gateway? You can check there for airport updates in the works and/or file bug reports to the community if you discover issues or have requests.
There's plenty of room to task this i7-12700 CPU more. The RTX 3050 Ti does well with the beta. I was under the impression back around X-Plane 9/10 that dds instead of png format for liveries/textures is better for the GPU, especially if it doesn't have a lot of VRAM. Is that correct?
I mention it as I notice some v12 models sporting png liveries, and my automatic response is to run those through the little XGrinder app, so I hope I'm not wasting effort there. LOL
Oohh, one other thing. The Nvidia App, even though it is still technically in beta, I think it does actually manage the potential of the RTX card better than the old Nvidia Control Panel did, as in the sim runs more smoothly overall.
I do use both sims. Mostly Msfs. I use Xplane for Zibo and airfoil 172. Msfs for pmdg 737-800, Fenix and FBW, A2A. I’m just saying they beat them to get a radar implemented finally.
@@klzeccwozi1290 some time ago I purchased visualXP ultimate and was able to decrease some of the darkness. I figure that the lighting was similar to a photograph camera and a camera catches about 3 or exposures while the eye can make about 9 different ones. Sometimes I will turn on a cabin light but often cabin lights are too dim. I like using the hat switch to look around and use the mouse to flip switches instead of the keyboard.
Finally. X-Plane 12 was the first Version I ever used. For roughly a Month. It still feels like a waste of Money because everything is running single-threaded and leaving Performance on the Table. Using more than 1 CPU Core / Thread after "only" being roughly 20 years late to the Party - maybe I will try X-Plane 12 again after it has been finally implemented. Better late than never I guess...
@@Msfs2024HD That's not copying because X-Plane doesn't include photogrammetry with streaming scenery out of box. Both simulators' graphics engines look identical when we exclude scenery factor. I have got screenshot comparisons for that.
I'm sure you mean the depth of field effect. And yes, I kind of agree with you. BUT: if you fixate on a point, e.g. the cockpit of an aircraft in the outside view, the surroundings automatically blur. This effect now here in X-Plane 12 only reinforces this, it supports the eye, so to speak.
@@christophfeldhaus9538 They're talking about dynamic range. Right now, X-Plane simulates a camera with a low dynamic range, i.e. it can only see a limited range of brightnesses - scenes can have parts that are too dark and too bright. This is actually how our eyes see, except each cell (pixel) of our retinas (our image sensors) can individually change their sensitivity with feedback from the processing our brain does. This allows for a much higher perceived dynamic range, and is what X-Plane's anti-dark-cockpit update tries to emulate.
Sit in cockpit, switch to free camera pilots pov. They are different…. But rendering the same scene. If they use that camera view for the cockpit view… it works.
X plane need ortho to looks decent. Microsoft is out of the box beautiful. There are some nice plans for x plane but for now Iam not convinced about x plane 12.
I gonna be hard times for Xolane with the new MFS2024 coming they can’t even get a the graphics level of MFS2020 ik have xplane 11 but I have installed it anymore.
After looking at both presentations. MSFS is super ambitious and for sure will be a disaster at launch 2024. However I think they look better and have better goals. Xplane just looks dated and seems like they are behind. We need competition so I wish the best for Xplane
Ms 2024 is Microsoft, the totally different sized and level company ,this is not realistic to compare with ,but xp 12 is sincere in flight simulation ,that is really enough ,xp 11 is low end but xp 12 is improved lots , may be if the airport and the city can be more details will be more perfect

Xplane: Shirley and some bug fixes. MSFS 2024: New 3D ground rendering Biomes Seasons New lighting model Improved clouds, plus new cloud types Improved water simulation Missions Ships/correct/accurate boat interactions with water surface Improved flight dynamics and physics Integrated sophisticated flight planner
The CEO from FlyShirley desperately needs a presentation skills coach. Cool sounding product somewhat let down by his need to read every single word off of post-it notes with essentially flat emotion.
@@nilsschutte9380 Yes and no. Yes, we read the checklist, but the generally accepted best practice these days is to memorise the flow and then validate it with the checklist. Reason being: the checklist mitigates errors in memory, and your memory mitigates errors in reading whilst under pressure. Thus, doing both yields the safest result. Now, on the most modern aircraft, they can actually sense the state of some of the checklist items and tick them off for you, but I don't fly one of those.
Luckily Shirley had their part rehearsed ;-) I'll also say that our company has only been around since March, and as a CEO/CTO I worked my butt off to provide as much value to customers, splitting the responsibility between showmanship and development. When you try the product, I think you'll agree I made the right call. Next year I plan to have time to memorize the talk. Thanks for learning about our story either way!
@@airplane-alex-list It does look like you've built something cool. My comment wasn't meant as an insult at all. Quite the contrary, I want your product to succeeed. Presenting is a skill, just like any other, and it simply merits attention. A CEO of a small org is also basically the chief marketing officer too. I would NOT recommend rote memorisation as an approach. Of course, it's important to know your key points, but to convey genuine emotion, you need to talk about it as if you were describing it to a best friend; and you would never deliver a memorised script to a best friend.
@@aavvv_ Toliss Terrible in terms of 3D model and texture quality and very expensive. Compare the quality of Toliss and Fenix, the quality of the 3D model and systems and the price.
All aircrafs in xplane 12 are not good aircrafs. I only use the zibo to flight. The workers in the laminar should work only in the A330 to do a completely airplane to fly in the IVAO.
