oem stock carb has all the adjustments on it. They are locked away to get the EPA grant them importation into the country as the EPA rules wants it lean and all owners prevented from making adjustments. Just remove the blind break off bolts on the bowl and replace with metric socket cap bolts. Then drill, tap and pull out the aluminum welch plug. Now you have all the adjustments fully exposed on the oem carb and can tune it all you need.

For the rest of us, add a new carburetor which sounds easier

These are every bit as fast as a old XR200 out of the box, even a bit faster. Nibbi carb, #130 main jet and #45 pilot jet, remove the catalytic converter, she'll be making damn near what the XR250R's did

I live in louisiana myself! Bought this bike several weeks ago and I love it! I had it registered also, plate and new title. About to order the nibbi carburetor

FYI, don't remove the airboat from the airbox. All you need to do is remove the sub-frame. Take off the muffler. Unhook the tail light wiring. Remove the brian box. Loosen the boot clamp. Lastly remove the 2 lower sub-frame bolts and the top sub-frame bolt. The whole unit comes off together. This gives you access to the shock and carb. Unbolting the tank and pulling it up allows you greater access to unscrew the cap for the slide. Don't remove the airbox boot!!!

That sounds very similar to the way I used to remove the carb on my '99 Honda XR250R. Remove muffler, take loose a couple of drain lines, un-bolt sub-frame and pivot it downward, keeping the airbox intact. Works great, perfect access to the carb and rear shock. I'm glad this chinese bike is set up the same way, when I get one it should be a snap to work on.

I just got one of these bikes (pre-assembled because I'm lazy). There's a hose dangling from the bottom/left side of the (stock) carb and I'm not sure where it goes. I think it's an air/vacuum line that attaches to the air box (?). It'll start up and idle just fine but when I give it even just a little throttle it's stalls out. There's also another separate hose that I think connects to the gas cap but the other end goes...??? Any thoughts would be highly appreciated!!

I bet you'd be surprised how well you'd keep up with other 250cc bikes from the big names. My nephew has a 250cc kawi. He also weighs a LOT less than me, and is a better rider than me. Nonetheless, I was able to stay on his tail on the little track on our property. Mine is the X model, so six speed and fully adjustable suspension, but otherwise pretty similar.

Will this increase the top speed and acceleration. I bought a Bubble carb and air filter because I seen a bunch of videos that say it made there bike run better. I have never worked on a bike and I am a little apprehensive about braking it apart. Worried I won't get it back to together and mess up Tue bike.

@DanielS784 I've never heard of a bubble carb, so I can't answer that. As for the filter, your best option is to keep the stock filter.

So were you able to use the filter ?!? Or had to use the stock filter housing

Just asking why no one takes the back of the bike off. Pipe then subframe with air box.

So you reduced sag by adding preload. What was the sag regarding prior to adjustment and what was the sag setting after adjustment?

I have not found anything that will replace the air boot and keep the bike running properly

Apologies if it’s not well put together I figured I’d put something up about the Templar parts that work because I had trouble finding any info what to order
@thepitstallsimracinggroup6832
I appreciate it bro. Just got one and this definitely helped with knowing what needed for shock adjustment. I got the Nibbi also. 👍

Appreciate the video man. Have any tips on getting the air box to connect in this tight space? I feel like I'm battling the frame and can't apply pressure on the connection.
@thepitstallsimracinggroup6832
I have since found that all you need to do is remove the boot from rear of carb at air box. Unhook battery and remove subframe bolts and remove entire rear of bike. 👍
@los1274
@los1274 Год назад
If you remove the 2 screws under the airbox the rear subframe will lift up and pivot behind the gas tank. Also remove the exhaust bolt.

You didn't do the adjustment... my nibbi is a POS and doesn't work. It is really a waste of money as it is EXACTLY THE SAME as stock.
