X-Rotors AW109E Startup and Flight Tutorial 

Make your lives easier and follow the 109’s flight manual. All the switches in the electrical section of the overhead panel should be in the on position prior to start, except for the avionics master which is set to ground. Leave the power levers in the flight detent. The checklist calls for the beep switches on the collective to be tested prior to start, which in the real aircraft moves the power levers forward and back. When ready, turn the fuel pump and fuel valve on and move the engine mode selector to “idle”. The engine will start itself. There’s a ton more before-start items on the checklist but they’re mainly systems tests.

I'm glad to find this video. I bought one of these helicopters a few months ago and could not get the big whirly things on top to spin around.

One suggestion, if it's possible implement "chapters" so we can skip to a specific part of the video for refreshers. Blue skies.

excellent video, thank you so much. especially the FT Rel button has been interesting to see introduced, despite i don't seem to fully understand it yet. Is it to avoid blade strike? can you tell me a bit more please. In theory, let's say you are on full rpm after startup, the swashplate would pitch down front of blade disk so you can taxi roll, right? Now, the rotors are sort of that powerful, how do you avoid the whole fuselage being tilted either nose down or sideways? looking forward to hearing from you, thank you.
