1-2 years back I was creating my own os using linux from scratch and I came across this channel because there was topic about linux kernel I didn't understand. And here I am again looking for a hdd dock station for my NAS. Didn't know you had a so many videos on NAS. I'll be binge watching them. This channel is a gold mine.

I respect your efforts a lot. But, there is a lot of misleading/inaccurate information in the video. I will try to make a video about the hard drives and enclosures sometime in the future. I am coming from hardware experience in Intel(past org) and Linux experience from my current organization Red Hat. Edit - The only reason why I came to this video is to see if both the bays can be simultaneously accessed as block devices by the machine.

aye, I’ve been waiting for a review but never found one, today I finally ordered it and saw your video, I’ll be using this on my local seedbox with an Asus rt18u and 2x4tb drives update: the power adapter died on the first day, replaced with my own and it works again but the one that came with the device itself was of low quality.

yes which is why there is a spring flap, which is somewhat open always for 2.5 inch hdd/ssd, and when we insert 3.5 inch regular large harddrives, the flap flips below

In the video, you connected one External Hard Disk and one Internal Hard Disk through this docking station. I think it is ok to connect both internal Hard Disks. Or is it made to connect one External and one Internal Hard disk? Please clarify.

Cover may be a bad idea with respect to cooling.

true. Hence while it is being used, I remove the same. And when not in use I cover it, to prevent dust getting into those slots and even those contacts
