I felt every frame of the crash footage from the back.. Glad you are all OK. My opinion is, you where trying to do good by stopping there but i really don't think he could have seen you without chase lights. If you look at the back-facing footage, you could see the X3's forward flashers for a while before impact, guaranteed he couldn't see your rear tail lights. May not have prevented impact going that fast, but it could have severely lessened it.
Damn , your heart was in the right place, but you have to have a chase light and absolutely radio communication. What's most important , you all are ok!!
When you're off-road riding, typical traffic laws don't apply, but you did stop near big hole which I believe is okay, but the guy behind you in my opinion is 100% at fault for the collision. Just assume that that was a big major hole and you could not go down it. He still would have hit you. But with all the dust it was hard for him to see you. But again I believe he is 100% responsible for rear-ending you. I know he's your friend and you guys will get it all figured out. But, it's a rear end accident and the dust played a major role in him not seeing you.
Damn the crash is a bummer glad y'all are ok though. That Cardo set up is pretty slick, i've been looking at intercom stuff so we can hear each other but this looks pretty cool since its all wireless
Hey bro I think you saved him from something far worst if you weren’t there and he was going 50 from the looks of his tracks he was gonna roll side ways. We ride out of hodge road to slash a lot and I’ve noticed after the rains shit gets sketchy there
Damn that sucks for both cars , pci has a hand held cheapest radio 80 bucks+ wire adapter 100 bucks and it hooks right to your helmet or ear piece ,good for when riding with others that don’t have radio comms in there car . Radio communications is a must! Be safe 👍🏽
Guy behind is at fault - if you can't see - you have to slow down - only thing you could have done sooner was get on coms (if he had them) as soon as you came up to that spot and said slow down - bad spot - to give him a heads up. But you looking back and being aware and getting on gas before he hit you - lessened the bad that could have come from this. Glad all were ok!
chase lights wouldve prevented this even without a radio. either way you saved his ass from hitting that rut at 50mph and dude woulda rolled a few times n busted a lot more shit. for a fact
