Didn't know that repairing the hull makes that big difference. Will come in handy along with your other video about "liberating" ships. You could also choose the "Minimum" preset and it will downgrade everything to the bare minimum and save you some time.

Will double check tomorrow and let you know 100%. From what I remember the only thing it always got wrong was the T1 combat thrusters instead of the normal ones.

If you repair the hull with your spacesuit's repair laser, you can save those 180k credits on repairs as well. It would just take a few minutes for a ship that size to repair it to 100% hull.

Nice, I'd heard that parting ships out rather than straight selling them was more profitable, but I didn't realize it was that significant. Thanks!

Same here, until I tried it out. Keep in mind, not all ships are going to have valuable components to scrap, so the boost won't always be there. But in the case of damaged hulls, repairing it should bump the sell price. Anyway, I thought it was worth sharing. Thanks for the watch and the comment!

Thanks for the watch and the feedback! Been trying my best to keep them relevant for new players, and exposing some possibly overlooked options for veterans. I don't play with mods and haven't sold any ships I've used in-game mods on, so not really qualified to make a guess about it. Sounds plausible to me, though.

@@tinpony9424 I meant mods in-game, via the Ship Dealer console. There are mods which can increase hull. If the game calculates value based on hull #, it may be a cheap way to increase the sale price.

Yes, of course. As I'd mentioned, I haven't tried selling a ship with in-game mods applied.
