It is coming right behind a k7 eruption. The density of the combined bowshock is what will be interesting. They have forecast a kp7 or 8 storm for the 4th/5th.

@@justinwilson3922And another thing, half of the time the magnetic field of CMEs is aligned with Earth's and it that case it has very little effect. It's only when their magnetic field is opposite that of Earth's that there are auroras and disruptions. So even if there was a crazy one there's a 50/50 chance it wouldn't have much effect

If this spot keeps firing at Earth so often... what will happen? This seems to be an event that is extremely unlikely but here we are, stuck in a repeating cycle. Every revolution we are back in the danger zone.
@@ElenGeorTo elaborate on what I was referring to in more detail: Energy, as in the bulk of the radiation headed in our direction relative to planet Earth and the extent of this geomagnetic storm which impacts our planet. Earth facing events make Solar flares more severe and raises the G potential whereas glancing blows are less eventful.
