Zayas reminds me of the first time I saw Puerto Rican talents like Edwin Rosario, Tito, & Cotto. Zayas doesn't seem to have their power, but he might be the best of the lot as far a technique - his defense on the inside reminds me of Devon Haney's, though they have different styles. & they're moving Zayas the right way, matching him against opponents who won't go down the first time they feel the breeze of his punches..(unlike Berlanga early on).

Not sure Lavallais is in synch with his corner, or if they are doing him any favors - Bradley says, about once a fight with contests like this, 'you're gonna get punched anyway, why not punch them back?' and it's the most sage advice any fighter, especially a young one, is going to hear. Because Lavallais basically doesnt throw a punch of four rounds, and then he's barely letting go after that. That's bad! That eats a guy's confidence! I feel like the corner should have pulled him out, and given him something to be mad at, other than himself. Regret goes deep. Zayas looked sublime, even considering his opponent was not participant for most of the fight - beautiful shot variation, great tempo, responsible boxing; gonna be tough to get him out of bed, the next day, bc he didnt do anything wrong!

Good old newbies. For both of them I'd close the distance and go for the body shots cause of how fast they are. But while trying to close the distance I'd protect any vital areas. Once I get where I WANT to be, then I unleash those body shots on the upper and lower ribcage repeadly until they decide to give up.
