Wow !! Best tutorial ever! Please complete more about Leibniz system. You are explain it better than Xaoc!

Awesome! The best tutorial about Drezno so far came out. XAOC should additionally send you Odessa for this if you would like to come back to it :)

Hey Adam, I hope the other videos give you some insight to what is possible with the rest of the chain. Thanks for the nice words!

I was looking forward to this video since I watched your prequel. I was not disappointed, you did a great job! I have been interested in Leibnitz for a while now and I understood the way Drezno and Lipsk are working, what was missing were the practical examples how their features could be utilised to make music. Your video fills this void really well, thanks a lot. I'm really excited about the upcoming video about Jena, I have no idea how that module works, but I'd really like to find out. Not to mention Erfurt...

Hey Chinpira, thank you for commenting. I'm really happy to hear from so many people that my video made things more clear, that was exactly my goal. The next video will focus on Lipsk and how it interacts with Drezno. Then I will tackle Jena. It will take a while but in the end the goal is to cover every part of the Leibniz system.

Very good instructional, training und explanatory video. Best I've seen for a long time. Unfortunately, the video can only be found by chance (via XAOC) - it's not listed.

Hey Ralf, thank you for your nice words. It is my goal to make a series about LEIBNIZ to demystify it and this is the first (actually second) video in that series. It's planned for release in about ten days, after the short prequel video I did on binary numbers. Xaoc Devices really liked the video and already shared it.

Great video series it appears and I’ll find out soon ;). I have the “ main 3” and will try some of this ideas out, cheers.. edit: I meant to ask, are you using mess or strictly for kick compression? Pz
@briesmodular
@briesmodular 7 месяцев назад
Hey! The main three are a great start, there's so much you can do with just Drezno by itself. Messor? I used it for sidechain 99% of the time.

hey nice video. i use Drezno and the subsystem to drive entire systems as alluded to in the schneidersladen video. Drezno and Jena unlock a very rich and tactile way of generating musical information

Thanks t4mber rec4ll! I really want to demonstrate such a patch in the video I'll be doing about Jena. Preparations for that video are being made as we speak.

Of course you can add the ADC bits together in a mixer to get pitch sequences with 2N pitches - based on your comments at the end I'm guessing you have already put that into a video :)

this is very helpful, ive had the drezno for a while, but i did not know how to use it lol, i love some of the sounds i can get with it, I like running rings thru it
@briesmodular
@briesmodular 2 года назад
It's quite the challenge to get your head around it isn't it. I find the offset and gain controls to be the most confusing part. I'm glad my video was of help! Haven't tried running Rings through the system - I might try to get a patch with it in the video for Jena that I'm trying to get wrapped up this week.

Thanks for this. What would you say is a good next leibiz module after the drezno?
@briesmodular
@briesmodular 2 года назад
I'd say either Lipsk or Jena. If you like what you can do with Drezno but you just want to be able to manipulate the bits in other ways Lipsk is the one to have a look at. If you want something that really changes the complete chain and gives you a (kind of) wavetable VCO/LFO than Jena would be a better choice. I don't have enough experience with Erfurt yet, but that one is more of a non-straightforward counter/clockdivider. I like to use that one seperated from the Leibniz chain.

Is this an instrument or a bench tool?
@briesmodular

Neither. It's more fair to approach this as a 2GHz 8Bit AD/DA convertor with its guts exposed.

@briesmodular

Thanks Snowman Plan! Sometimes the people who make these things aren't the best ones to explain how they work. I've noticed this with other makers as well but Leibniz is really a convoluted one to explain, yet it's so easy to work with once you have it in front of you.
