@@hanklesacks my brother that’s what most teams did when they played that Barcelona team. That isn’t really the best excuse. Again I’ll say this isn’t his best performance by his standards. Doesn’t mean his not a good player. He was a decent player we all know that.
@@AM-dx7ev I'm not giving any excuses mate, it's the truth. He's playing deep, in front of the back 4, he can't afford too many risks in possession, especially against a team like madrid. What should he have done different? Try to force passes, or attempt aimless dribbles?
The way he controlls the rhythm of the game is absolutely worldclass. I bet everything i got you would lose the ball every time being in his position. You don't know how difficult it is to master what he does on such a high level. Football is not just about scoring and assisting but you will not understand what i say.
@@ekcomps3828 your mums gay mate there's no high knowledge requirement to understand xavi and i also bet your unable to give me a good argument of why xavi is the best midfielder of all time, inherent bias, appeal to superiority are all you are about methinks i wouldn't lose the ball everytime because pep always coaches positional play into his teams so i would have 5+ passing lanes to feed, learn what a system is, my dribbling is way better than xavi's anyway but i prefer to go 1v1 then soak up the pressure and xavi was scared to do that against this madrid, poor attempt at ad hom and already exposed your ignorance lol yeah a less fancy way of saying "controlling the rhythm of the game" is that xavi is a natural playmaker and even then he is hardly a world class one, his mastery was at releasing the ball quickly with few touches but that's just because he possesses little technicality so his use was mainly systematic
If this is prime Xavi then I think prime Pirlo was a much better player individually. Easily two levels below Zidane. Without Iniesta, Messi creating spaces for him with their dribbling skills, without Busquets maintaining balance between attack and defense at the central, without Villa and Pedro’s tireless running and pressing of opponents up front, by no means would Xavi achieve that much.
Comparing Pirlo to Xavi is like comparing Ronaldinho with Zidane, Ronaldinho was better at his peak, but Ronnie's prime version lasted for 3 years, while Zizou's best version lasted for 6-7 years. And that's why Xavi is a better player than Pirlo. Pirlo's prime lasted for 4 years, and Xavi's peak lasted for 7 years...
