I love how, since the last episode, Matt has gone from complete pushover to putting PlayStation and Xbox in their place. He’s mirroring the anger gamers are feeling towards AAA publishers lately and I’m here for it. GO MATT!!!!
The funny thing is that the person who nuked his camp did not do it as retaliation it just lined up that way, he did nuke Phills camp on purposes but it was more the player was in post/end game play and was doing it for fun

pretty much accurate. Only Microsoft is a TRILLION dollar corporation. THREE TRILLION actually. not a billion dollar one.. big difference. they didn't have to shut down anything... not until at least they gave those companies the ability to finish what they were working on.
Yeah I'm surprised they didn't revise that line. Microsoft has been a trillion dollar company since 2019 and literally just hit 3 trillion. Microsoft keeps making ridiculous money, which is why the gaming division for them is peanuts. They can buy up both Nintendo and Sony if they really wanted too, which is why it's kinda absurd when people say they might get out of the console business. They have so much money that they can handle any loss that votes their way. That $70 billion for Activsion was pennies, which is why they are building a whole new studio to rival Naughty Dog, Insomniac etc

The buying of studios reminds me of the GAME retail store in how they could not beat their competitor called Gamestation so they bought them to take over, completely screw the brand up then closed them down
Nice work! I would like to imagine what "Phil Spencer" would sound like if he had Elton John's voice; he totally looked like him here. Also, while the '76 part is witty, the real story is that the real bomber did it for fun, and not for vengeance...allegedly. Hopefully Microsoft will learn QUICK how they should take care of their babies and the parents that made them. Relinquishing Xbox and letting it be an independent console maker may be a great move in the future if it continues to be seen that Microsoft has lost the way of what made the platform great, especially during the 360 era.

I can try to understand why they took down Arkane Austin but taking down Tango Gameworks was a really shitty move. That studio produced such a great games, and also gave Xbox a great 1st party game that won multiple awards and has been and still is highly popular upon the gamers. What made me truly upset about that was that they planned to make a sequel to that awesome game and then these fuckers nuked them >:(
That game got awards but didn't get big sales. Xbox only cares how much money it won for them. The problem is Game Pass though. A game like that isn't a big name that everyone wants to play. It wouldn't have great engagement on Game Pass or bring more subscribers. I bet you even people that liked the game might wasted more time trying to built ships on Starfield than playing it even though they might feel Starfield is a worse game. Now if you could only get it by buying it, it might have made some people buy it since it had good reviews but when is just easily accessible on Game Pass then it brings very little subscriptions or engagement. So Game Pass is really killing such games.
Probably because they pushed out Shinji Mikami, to the point where after Hi Fi Rush was done, he left the company to make his own company. Wouldn't be surprised if Phil got upset at that and just decided to axe the company

They kind of have to though. Sony is doing nothing and has no announcements so "no news is good news" while MS are trying to stay quiet about their good stuff until not e3 but are also still doing the bad stuff. So PlayStation has nothing good and nothing bad so there's nothing to see. Microsoft has nothing good but they do have bad stuff so unless you want to talk about another quarter of Nintendo quietly releasing more good but not great games and just printing money, is all you can talk about in the console space. It feels like that's the last 2 generations. Sony and Microsoft fighting each other while Nintendo whistles in the corner, flying low enough under the radar to not get heat but releasing high enough quality to keep printing money hand over fist. And she pretends to be so sweet...
@@ViridianFlow PlayStation does have good stuff though. They've been having some decent games such as Stellar Blade, FF7 Rebirth, and maybe something else I'm not thinking of. And they do bad things as well. Let's not forget the Hell Divers 2 region locking... but in comparison to what Microsoft is doing, that's small... well medium, potatoes. People are upset at Sony because people want to PLAY their games. Microsoft barely has anything to play period and seem to be destroying the companies making the games people WOULD be wanting to play. Meanwhile, Nintendo just makes fun stuff. Who cares if it's not 4K, it's enjoyable and you don't need to be online and you can play it anywhere.

Lol this is such a creepy vid, but it's funny, guess ppl forget that those studios weren't financially doing it at the time, Tango games sadly wasn't the same studio after the studio had left.
PlayStation closes London Studio, one of their oldest studios ever with some of the coolest games in the PS2 gen, Xbox closes 4 studios in one day immediately after spending $80+ BILLION with a capital B, releases that stupid controller tagline “feel the burn” and to further add to that burn announces that Activision is opening a new studio. Gaming is cooked right now 😭 but at least we got Matty, and the Console Gals to keep us entertained for years to come…..no chance of them being acquired by Bill Bencer…..right……RIGHT?!? 😏
Canceled Game Pass and will focus on PS or finally put in the time and build a PC. Wish them best of luck with their business model. Appreciate the video, each one is a gem here.
