Great video. I love how you go through every game, not just a few, and give your own synopsis of each one. I am surprised there was not a Gears game on the list. I can’t wait for more of these videos. I’ll definitely be grabbing a few of these games.

Vampyr is one of the free games on playstation plus this month if ya got PS. its worth a check out. I got pretty far but was so caught in a ton of other games I kinda fell off

It's so much fun! My only complaint is that I wish it would let you have multiple saves. Sometimes I'd like to play the game over from the beginning without losing my completed game.

Yes, lost all of that straight forward feel of the 2016 one. Not enough ammo, just had to rely on the stupid mechanics, pressing all over the keyboard everytime you ran out, waiting for enemies to flash yellow, trying not to kill them to get the health. And then there's the platforming... absolutely hated it. And all the skill trees. Many things are wrong with it and I too appreciate it when some people say what it's like instead of giving it 10/10 and calling it a masterpiece.
I did not know you were an Xbox fan this gen, awesome! Also, HUGE fan of Vampyr - haven't tore through a game that fast in a long time. Great collection.
@@larrykoolthegamer3646 It has a few moments and it did a good job building tension. The first playthrough is always the best since you don't know what will happen next. Additionally, the ability to affect the outcome of each character is a fun and interesting dynamic that makes repeated playthroughs more rewarding. It's understandable if you didn't find it scary, but I don't think that diminishes how enjoyable it is to play. Maybe it would help if you could share what games you do actually find scary, since this one isn't your cup of tea.

@@Cannotbetamed1 I've been binge watching while cooking and cleaning so maaaaybe I have tiny sense of what you'd like. Man of Medan btw. Try it. It's less than 4 hours and you'll love it considering you like choices with consequences and you can't go back. No cheap deaths so it's satisfying. Try little nightmares. So much lore if you like that but it's so enjoyable the way it is. If you find alien isolation it's a technical marvel but youll find it's extremely long. Thankfully it shows all its cards early so if you don't dig it 3 hours in and you're good. Last is my personal favorite to recommend and that would be among the sleep. The game isn't anything that will change your life but it has such an obvious message that we don't always think about (I have a newborn ) Thanks for your entertainment have a good day! Btw rockstar has great stories maybe try max Payne 3 it's so much more than you think (like la noire)

I know this might be late, but when you get to Man Of Medan, I definitely suggest playing it with a friend online and in a voice call with, if possible. That's the best mode to experience it, in my opinion. There are 3 modes basically: singleplayer (1player on 1device), multiplayer online (2players on 2devices, best mode) and multiplayer local (up to 5 players on 1device, passing the controller around). This video definitely took a lot to edit and record, so thank you for all the work you did for it :)
This is epic; you have a fantastic collection, and it's nice to see you covering the current-gen stuff along with your retro work. I went with the PS4, so it's fun to see some of the games I missed out on. Really great job on the video (as always), your work is excellent. And that length! Coming from a 30+ year gaming veteran, enjoying all genre of games, Divinity Original Sin 2 (a turn based RPG) for Xbox one is absolutely a masterpiece. Everything in the game and story seems significant and important. Each decision is big and impacts the story. Charming game. It takes awhile to get into it. But you get hooked on the immense satisfaction of the writing and dialogue. I can't get enough. The game has so much depth and replay value. If you like XCOM then you'll love Divinity! It's like XCOM in a fantasy RPG form! I've played through XCOM Enemy Unknown several times, including on the hardest difficulty and finished it. Absolutely amazing game. I have 2 but haven't played it yet.
Loving the bolder Xbox themed eye shadow today. Looks great! Man of Medan is a great game, and it doesn't really take all that long to play through. I'd highly recommend it, especially if you like games like Telltale's The Walking Dead, or even Until Dawn. The next game in the series, Little Hope, will be coming out sometime this year too. Horizon: Zero Dawn was such a great game. It's one of the games that I made an effort to Platinum because I enjoyed it so much. I can't wait for the sequel.
I was really happy to hear that you liked State of Decay 1 more than 2 (I think they've drifted too far away from what I liked most about the the original), and that XCOM 2 is your desert island game. Strongly agree! I have a ridiculous amount of time invested in X2. (I just hope there will be an option to sneak mods for XCOM 2 onto my desert island -- it can be tough to go back to vanilla after playing a modded game for extended periods of time.)
You need to get Spider-Man ps4, God of war 3, the uncharted series, Bloodborne and infamous second son. I can’t believe you didn’t like tlou that game is amazing.
This is the collection video that hurt most to watch...so many great games that I haven't played! I do like how many of them are on XB1, I dislike the exclusive-to-this-console model so much prefer to have all my games on one platform, but those PS4 exclusives are sooooo tempting. Especially Horizon Zero Dawn. And since most of the XB games are also available on PC, it really has me torn as to which console to pick up. Maybe I'll just throw up my hands and get a Switch, haha. Oh and I finally managed to grab an XB1 controller for my PC gaming, still getting used to it but so far so good!

Since you liked Until Dawn you should definitely try Detroit Become Human. I was blown away by that game. I switched to PS after that stunt Microsoft pulled at e3. The exclusives on Xbox don’t amuse me enough to switch back and I’ve become addicted to trophies

I’m a XBOX guy. Nice collection you have. I have an extremely large XBOX collection as well. I currently play a lot of Gears of War 5 (online is super fun), Halo (The story and gameplay is epic) and Forza Horizon 4 is just flat out FUN. I recently checked out the Ori games and was blown away. The Ori games are platform games at their finest. I still have to try Cuphead. I really enjoyed Ryse Son Of Rome, the storyline and graphics are phenomenal. I like Remedy as well and thoroughly enjoyed Alan Wake. Quantum Break was pretty good but I haven’t played Control yet so I’ll have to check that out. Nice video. You mentioned some games I wasn’t aware of that I’ll have to give a try.

Really nice titles for both systems, Pam! Inside and Limbo are superb... I find myself thinking back on Inside's story pretty regularly. Just completed my first playthrough of the Last of Us Remastered last week. Hadn't played the original PS3 game since probably 2014.
You described Doom Eternal the best way I've heard yet. A thinking person's shooter that doesn't really give you time to think! Also I wished they didn't tell you how to kill the monsters and let you figure it out yourself.

Wow, seven years? I can’t believe that. I actually have an Xbox One but barely ever play it (the disk drive needs replacement.) Space and under water are my favorite environments as well.
OH BOY! when I saw Limbo and Sine mora I see how good 2D games can still be today. I would recommend if you have a chance to get, TOKI (REMAKE) NINJA WARRIORS ONCE AGAIN AND BATMAN BLACK GATE.
I don't know if you own it, but Red Dead Redemption Two is a great one if you like westerns. Can be linear or open world, enjoyable either way. Did try out the remastered Spyro trilogy for nostalgia, but it just wasn't my bag anymore. Really well polished, but made for a younger crowd perhaps. I have got to try the Ori games.
Xbox is the console I skipped out on this generation haha. It didn't get any exclusives that I cared about enough to buy one. My GF has one though. Plus when it was first coming out, Microsoft made the commentary about its always on feature vs. selling to military(which I was in at the time), that military members didn't matter to them at all, and they put it a little harsher than that too. You should definitely dig into God of War. Kratos is voiced by Christopher Judge(Teal'c from Stargate SG1). It probably won't be your favorite game of all time, but its visuals are stellar, and all of the mega optional bosses are ladies. You've missed out on the fun with the Switch. I mostly play mine docked with a pro-controller, though I do love being able to take it with me to the can if I don't wanna pause it. Sometimes I even set it up on the sink counter, and play it while I'm in the tub :D Breath of the Wild provided lots of entertainment, with over 130 puzzles to solve to get through shrines and "dungeons." Fire Emblem 3 Houses was great. Octopath Traveler has a real good soundtrack. I was going to get the Dark Souls Remaster on it for handheld Dark Souls, but I didn't wind up doing that. Skipped out on Super Smash Bros as well, cause I've got Smash fatigue. I will say, I think your current gen library is larger than mine, even with just being Xbox games haha. But I'm really picky about my games as it stands, and stick mostly to my MMORPG FFXIV, though in the years that Destiny 1 was on the stage I was really enjoying it too. Destiny 2, not so much.
I cut out a bit where I talked about how much MS bungled the lead up to the system launch. They made bad decisions, but at least were smart enough to walk them back. I do t feel I’m missing anything with the Switch. I’ve played the 2 exclusives I wanted to (Fire Emblem and Mario Robbins).
Ha, I was going to ask you in this comment if you had any digital items in your library or if you stuck to mostly physical releases. I've found that with this generation I've gone to mostly digital game purchases, which of course results in having a much more massive backlog of games than I would otherwise, but there are worse problems to have in my opinion. I usually find that if a game has something cool included, like a map, then I'll want to have that in a box, like Red Dead Redemption 2. Do you have a system for what games you like to own physical copies rather than digital?
for all the niche gamers, Disaster Report is a great series and the latest one just released in English. yakuza is also a great series for ps4, you'll get burned out playing them all. but zero, kiwami 2 and kiwami 1 are the top choices in order.
Totally agree on your opinion on Control and Quantum break. Though the games are not perfect, you can always sense a special new kind of gameplay. Btw the DLC for Control will be released in june, last time I checked...

I'm an unashamed Sony fanboy, the exclusives are why I love the Playstation 1, 2, 3 & 4. But the Xbox 360 definitely won that generation of consoles the PS3 wasn't a great console, although the games were awesome after a slow start especially with games like Uncharted, Infamous, Rachet & Clank etc. Favourite 360 games were Skyrim, Fable 2/3 Halo 3, Reach, Oblivion.
It looks like Tempest 4000 plays a lot like its predecessors - Tempest 2000 (which I played a lot on the Atari Jaguar) and Tempest 3000 - "tube shooter"-style.
Really like Vampyr - janky as it is, it tries something not a lot of bigger releases would be comfortable with on modern gen trends. And as I’ve gotten older have come to agree that i am ok not 100 percenting a title, or having a memory card or floppy full of saves I would unlikely return to just to have some option still open. Vampyr is good at limiting things without being roguealike, or until dawn at the other end of the spectrum. I think the games that weaned me from the practice was oddly enough the Civ series-trying to make my collective civ a character that didn’t know everything at once!
The Evil Within 1 and 2 is definitely on my list. The developer's new game Ghostwire: Tokyo comes out next year and looks really interesting. A Plague Tale is one I'm really wanting to try as well.

i had a good time with resident evil 4 we beat it and crash bandicoot i woud play good recommendations if i wanna buy an xbox one or ps4 i still like classic games
If you like space games you might want to give Everspace a try. And side note, it also took several tries for me to get into borderlands. Something kind of clicked after I played the tell tale game. I still doubt i'll ever go back and beat the first one though. There were just too many cool features that subsequent games added and I wouldn't want to do without :/
@@Cannotbetamed1 Fair enough, it's not for everyone. But if you ever get a chance do check out Everspace. They did such an amazing job with that game. It's easy to get into, (for those that enjoy space games at least) the gameplay loop is quick and fun, and they really really made the environments fun to explore.
A lot of stuff I’ve never heard about here. I don’t have an Xbox1, but it seems there’s more interesting games for it than I thought. I don’t see anything inherently wrong with first person platforming. I loved Titanfall 2 and think the platforming blended very well with everything else that was going on.
Sound like we kind of have the same taste in games. I overall hate excessive loot, grinding and open world games with pointless filler. I wonder if it has anything to do with growing up in the SNES, PSX, N64 days?
I swear, I feel like I'm the only person in the world who isn't a fan of Borderlands! I hate games where you have to constantly evaluate whether or not this item is better than what you have equipped now like this or Diablo. I may have also been vaguely traumatized by a moment in Borderlands 1 where a Level 9 Badass Psycho spawn-camped me when I was level 4 and didn't know where to explore to.

PS4 exclusive that I gave a try and absolutely fell in love with was bloodborne. The mystery and the lore hunting was what gripped me. Im not into dark souls at all but this game alone made me respect it all together.
How is XCOM 2 on the Xbox? I got it for PC, but my computer is pretty weak, so the game looks choppy and blocky. I was gonna get it for PS4, but I heard it crashes a lot. Does the Xbox version work?
Great video 😎 Control & Vampyr sound very interesting... No Uncharted was a surprise. If you haven`t played them yet I highly recommend *Uncharted 2* If you don`t want to play the entire series but just one of em, Part 2 is the one you should pick up. Probably watch the cutscenes of part 1 on youtube (ca. 1 hour) beforehand to get a bit familiar with the characters.
I played Uncharted 1 a number of years back. I tried 2 recently and got so frustrated with the stealth section at the start that I uninstalled it and traded it in.
@@Cannotbetamed1 Oh the Istanbul chapter. Yeah, that`s not that much fun. After that 2 decent exploring/battle chapters follow. And from Chapter 5 onwards the game gets awesome. If you should consider giving it another chance some time in the future the Remastered Nathan Drake Collecton (and Journey) is for free of charge on PS Sore at the moment.
I totally get the issues you had with Fallen Order, Souls games aren't for everyone, I love them personally. I also loved Jedi Outcast and basically the entire Dark Forces series so I get the idea of having a Jedi that just mows down enemies but I'm quite glad that they went down this route imo. When you go back to those games you just realize that there's a lot of hacking and slashing and it's quite mindless, and you barely have any real control of your swings or blocking laser bolts etc. This time around it's an actual challenge and you feel like you earn every shot you bounce back at their face and so on. But yeah I definitely understand.
Pam I played metro back in the day on my pc, I think it was the last light. It's a good game, not the best in its genre but once you start to get into the story it gets interesting
I think quantum break is underrated though control was slightly better. Control did get a little repetitive towards the end but still a great game. Remedy has yet to let me down and hopefully Alan wake 2 is next.
