Hi. In this video we're fixing Xbox One S which came in for no power repair. If you'd like to book a repair, please visit our website console-repair... (+44)07451466640 - WhatsApp number (just for messages)
My Xbox One got a downstream lightning strike, hit the cable wire and went into my modem then through the Ethernet cable into my Xbox 🤯. It does the same thing, powers up until the fan should normal kick on then shuts off. I have a Series S but you've inspired me to try to save it. I believe the culprit is either the RAM or one of the Mosfets, already replaced the power brick. I'll give it a whirl someday soon. Thanks for the details on the proper power readings, that's gonna help a lot! 👏👍
@@KCDdesign Nothing obvious. I'm waiting on a cable to come in so I can test the hard drive. Frustrating as hell. I think I need a better volt meter as well, my leads are cheap and aren't getting a clean signal. Long way to say no.
This video was very helpful. I am struggling with the same issue on my Xbox. I am a electrical guy in automotive and followed along checking the same points as you with very simular results. However, when you ohm checked the RAM, you said anything under 30 ohms indicated an issue. I am getting 58 ohms, much higher than your donor board had. I am wondering if this value is proper. Any input is greatly appreciated. Ty
Hi! I have checked pin memIO and I have 58 on and 25 standby on a working Xbox one with error e100 (dvd drive?) I have same Numbers on a xbox one with Fast beep. Why?
Where do you get all of the testing point measurements from? I followed along however my RAM is ok (I think, it has higher resistance than your donor board but also not Samsung RAM, so that may be why?)
Pwmic isn't enabling to supply the required voltage. Check those. If apu or cpu was dead, it would be shorted normally. Best way is to check the resistance.
With everything disconnected and only having the power supply connected... testing the power supply I got a reading between 11.8 and 11. 9... is that still good?
had very same video got one from a friend there wasn't any thermal paste left I replaced it and put the heatsink on without the fan and used a heat gun all over the board avoiding the plastic pieces of the board for a few minutes let it cool down removed the heatsink once more cleaned the APU and heatsink added fresh artic M6 thermal pasted and works like brand new been playing games streaming video no issues another think I forgot to mention was I gave the whole board an isopropyl alcohol bath and scrubbed everything with a toothbrush and kept rensing the board with alcohol then used the heat gun it repaired the problem for me
Thank you so much for this very detailed video. I have almost exactly the same issue. I am missing the Ram(1.5v), GPU(1v) and CPU(1v) voltages. the Ram resistance is 40.8 Ohms can you pls tell me where the voltage is coming from to supply the ram memory? or which component to check. thank you again GREAT VIDEO!!
Xbox one s just turn off power unplug wait ten 15 seconds then plug only power source in and turn on and should reset. No need to rip the computer apart and using a meter since the power supply has a built-in surge protector and can be eaisly reset, if it doesn't work then replace the PSU for a few bucks and good to go..
So I had the same issue sometimes it would fix it self and work for a while then over heat funny enough the eject button fixed the console even though it a digital only model 🤣 actually using it to watch your video now and commenting on my phone
