I've upgraded to the s after having my original Xbox one for one year. Really, since I'm in the military and deploying/ traveling alot, the s was such a good upgrade, just for portability reasons
I’ve had my Xbox one for about five years now, and it’s still going strong. And I have two external hard drive’s connected to it. One being 1 TB and the other being 2 TB. I did have to replace the controller recently, but it was worth it.
i just bought the Xbox one because my old day one xbox seems to be tired after years of good times :) i dont know if the new one is better but i like the design and the size. was just surprised buy the texture of the controller who is less soft.
There is no really big difference but size. Do not waste your money wait for scorpio, or just enjoy the one you have and keep your money. 1080p still looks good to me.
I still have the Xbox 360 (the newer one) and I just can't get money for an upgrade which makes me sad because everyone else has an Xbox one or ones or a PS4
Cole Chase I know how that exactly feels.. but eBay has a lot of new and used ones under $200. My friend got hers for $110 and it was used for 2 days. She still uses it today and she bought that thing 2 years ago.
I bought my One S in 2017. I thought I was going to get the original one but when I looked online they were going for around the same price so I just went for the S model. (I got my One S in 2017)
How are you liking it? I've had my OG Xbox one for 5 years and it's finally starting to crap out. The Xbox One S is my next option, because I don't need an X.
Are y'all kidding, the S is barely an upgrade from the original one and the performance sucks. The X is 40% More powerful and gives you options to change graphics in games. Older games like the 2013 tomb raider run at 60fps on the one X as opposed to the One and one S
Same. The angled vents are way more aesthetic that the dots all over the S. I think the later original Xbox One with the matte finish is the best looking.
I'll stick with my Xbox One. I don't really care for the graphics upgrade in the Xbox One S with the no power brick everybody complains so much about in the Xbox One.
I don't think the fat Xbox One is ugly. He's actually quite beautiful, and fits more easily in your environment (which in most of the cases is completely black or dark). If I could find a darker One S I would have bought it. Anyway, the white still is beautiful and I love mine :3
I think the OG is better...the internal power makes so much noise..while the og is silent..both consoles are epic and powerful but I'd choose the Original Xbox One
A bottle of windex me to in a way i own the original xbox one and the reason why i like it a bit more is because it kinda looks more expensive and i never cared that it was bulky with a power brick but my go to console is my ps4 pro
Had to order a One S today since my original Xbox One is sadly starting to die following both needing a reset to factory defaults and now constantly having issues with save files, seems the HDD on the original system is beginning to wear down and probably doesn't have very long left, got it in 2015. Was wanting to get a One X but it was too pricey. Hopefully the replacement console will work just fine.
Thomas Rolen the graphics card is identical it just upscales the resolution I’m keeping my original xbox one it isn’t worth the upgrade for me i don’t care about 4k blu ray movies lol
It does look better and cleaner on games even without a 4ktv you’ll notice a pretty significant difference. The higher resolution it has and the HDR help.
So it's pretty much no use of getting the XBOX One S if you don't have an 4k TV? That's why i was thinking of just getting the original XBOX One. It's still backwards compatible with some XBOX 360 games. So yeah i'm really not missing out on much. Though the XBOX One S controller is better. I will give it that. Hey but can you buy the XBOX One S Controller and use it for the original XBOX One?
Couple questions. Are the Xbox 1 graphics better than the Xbox 1 s? Can I play with my friend who have Xbox 1 if I have Xbox 1 s? Can I buy Xbox 1 controllers and use them with Xbox 1 s?
How is Xbox one s an up grade to Xbox one? Xbox one s isn't backwards compadable with original xbox games like burnout 3 takedown... But xbox one is????WTF
I had a 1 Tb forza 6 edition first generation with my stickers on it still with the clear wrapping still on my power box and the matching controller till it got stolen , I now have the one s 1tb and it really seems to run smoother
I have a newer version of the original Xbox one where the vent is glossy and the rest is Matt. I see no reason to get this over my og Xbox one. If im gonna buy a new one I'll get the Xbox one X
I still have a 360, I'm gonna buy a one soon, the S is £60 more, but I feel like it is worth paying the extra for the saving space, the actual button (I can't be doing with my cats turning the xbox on, lol) and the new controller features. Although I'm not exactly pleased that the Scorpio will be out later this year, as I probably won't upgrade for quite some time since I will have only recently got the One S, and I don't want to wait a few months for the Scorpio :/ Hah.
Serendipity861 i have the original xbox one I’m keeping it it’s basically the same as the xbox one x the graphics card is the same my go to console is the ps4 pro though i think it’s better it definitely has better exclusives
I am really confused about choosing between the Xbox one and the Xbox one s,, I mean are there some games which we can play with in Xbox one s and not in normal one,,,, another thing,, do we have to pay money to play online,, if yes how much,,, please I need an answer ,,, euh finally I wanna say that I didn't choose play 4 because FORZA HORIZON 4 IS THE ONLY GAME I MATTER ABOUT ,,, I m waiting for an answer please,, 👍thanks
@@lechameleon625 it spins at the same speed and the fans are the same. It is more efficient but it has to deal with being much more cramped and an internal power supply.
I thought it was worth waiting. Because I don't have much space around my TV in my bedroom, and the original XBOX ONE would not be able to fit in the space that was left. So I got the ONE S and it fits perfectly, and it stays cool when I play games on it as well.
I have both and XBOXONE-S is much better, I can tell it is a bit more responsive, better, if you don't have neither is best to wait for SCORPIO XBOX and buy that, but if you want to buy an XBOXONE definitely get the XBOXONE-S and is even faster with an M.2 adapter to USB3.0
The crazy thing is I waited it seemed like a couple years or more after the release of the Original Xbox One to buy it and paid $420, then in 2020, 4 years after it's release, I ended up paying $238 for an Xbox One S.
The only real logical reason to pick up a S is if you have a 4K tv... No game will as yet run in native 4K, it is only an upscale... Unless you have a 4K tv the performance is the same. The S has a 4K blu-ray player but again this is pointless unless your tv is 4K ...
Tom Humphreys I have a 4k tv and I noticed a difference when I went from PS4(regular) to xbox one. I was disappointed that the xbox never released an HDR update. So when I went from BF1(HDR) ps4 to xbox, i noticed blurriness on the snow bushes up close. I want to know if I purchase the xbox one s, if this problem will more than likely get better? Will the games look better on xbox s compared to regular ps4(hdr)? Will BF1 be available on XboxX as true 4k?
I dont understands these both the same console only different is that the xbox one s is slimmer don't have a power brick and play 4k hdr content and hdr gaming other wise these are the same console
i got the xbox 360 about 5 years ago and i didint know much about it but now since im older i know a lot and im looking forward to get a xbox one s with forza bundle and overwatch with one month member ship since that all costs less than a nintendo switch bundle full price. Plus i say this since im getting it on black friday.
I don’t have a 4K tv and I don’t really move my consoles. For portability I just use my iPad. But I want something that just works a little better than my iPad. That’s why I chose the Xbox one over the one s. First of all it’s not even that big of an upgrade. It’s only in the gpu and graphics so, it’s not even that big of an upgrade. I don’t care for graphics in the first place because I grew up playing my dads old Nintendo 64 and the wii. Personally I just get a strange feeling when a game has almost as good graphics as real life. The Xbox one supports all the games I know and love like fortnite, apex legends, gta v, call of duty, and much more. I don’t want to spend and extra almost 50$ for better graphics and a small gpu update. Also I’m more of a home body so that’s the reason I chose the Xbox one over the one s. I will probably purchase a new console when mine becomes EXTREMELY outdated, but now I feel, why would I upgrade when I’m happy with what I have. Idk do u agree with me?
I prefer the original Xbox one, I have the white one it looks so much better than the S and it runs quieter and cooler. Also I like having the power supply, it leaves more room in the console for cooling
@@yoboijason586 So the One S is the same console but smaller? Then why upgrade from a Xbox One unless you don't already have one. Should have called it the Xbox Slim.
@@AshenDemon yeah the difference is one is smaller and less loud and plays 4k videos. It like the ps4 slim, unless u want a upgrade then the one x is like 150-200rn
I gave my ps4 pro for my brother. Deciding to go for Xbox one s. I got 4k tv 60 inch and heard the Xbox has better graphics, I like Xbox controllers more than ps4.
Love my one s design very pricey, to much centered around does, then actual game play celebration, like the next iPhone coming out 123 & 4 & 567 8 come on people enough already!
I have the Xbox 360 and I wanna upgrade to an Xbox one but do u need a 4K tv , I literally just got my gaming tv put up but it’s not 4K or can I play an Xbox one a non 4 K tv. Please thx
I had an original Xbox One before and it broke after the power supply blew and I was dumb enough to use a 360 power supply with it so the console broke. But I'll be picking up another Xbox One in a few days. Not a One S, but the original. It was perfect for me at least. The improvements in terms of gaming aren't that crazy and the only really good thing about it imo is the size. I've heard it makes more noise than the original Xbox One. If you don't need your console to take up little space, the original will be great for you, and you can get it cheaper. also imo the glossy finish of the original One is beautiful lol
Don't really notice a difference to the 4K and I have the 4K Samsung TV. Does anybody else notice a difference, I don't think it's that big of a change in graphics. Seems comparable to the PS4 which I also have.
