Ryan Forget you did not just say that lmao, do you have any idea how many security breaches Xbox has suffered in comparison to steam which has virtually none, steam support is also excellent and when I made the switch from Xbox I immediately noticed that you can actually get a refund without scrambling around with Xbox support spending way to much time to refund a non physical item. There is Xbox game pass on pc so if I really wanted to I could get all the useless bloatware mixed in with a few decent games for $15 a month.
stephanie mchahon • 21 years ago [COMMUNITY ADMIN] because steam also makes a crapton of money off of games. while microsoft is mainly the console itself. maybe look into that difference before you say that.
They were showing games from the xbox one x so obviously the loading time would be decreased, but if it was an actual xbox series x game it would have loaded very fast possibly in no time

I will put all my games in a shelf or something like that for display.
This all sounds fine and dandy but I hope developers use all this "fancy" tech to push performance alot more... There's no reason that games should still be running at 30FPS. A lot of people don't realize that having an SSD / NVME in a console doesn't just mean faster loading times for games. It means, a more efficient rendering pipeline which is why they can do things like Ray Tracing, and render greater distances in open world games, for example. Everything in the XBSX (and probably PS5) is designed to improve efficiency between all the parts of the console that are used to render images. This is why I love consoles. They aren't just "cheap PCs". They are specifically designed gaming machines that squeeze every ounce of power they can out of the hardware available to them. PCs are more powerful, of course, but they are much more expensive (high end) and not as efficient in many ways, ironically. Also, actual advances in the XBSX will make their way to PCs, soon, too, which benefits all gamers who are platform agnostic like myself.
These advances weren't made just for consoles this stuff was announced to be coming to PC long before they knew it was going to be used in the next consoles and you don't have to spend a ton on PC to equal and excede console. This is really the first console that has been able to keep up with PC in the least.

Stfu with intern permanent chargeable battery 2 AA chargeable is the best possible way I have elite 2 and no way in hell is that motherf**** 40h of use with full charge maybe 15h or so
God you people are missing the advantages of battery. It gives you options guys. You can still buy rechargeable double a batteries so there is that. If your batteries run out just replace em or even better just play with the controller plugged into a USB plug or direct to console. The problem I have with ps4 remotes is that after some time they don't hold a charge like they do on day one and I ended up having to charge it often. And if the USB port decides to fuck up (which has happened to a friend of mine) then your left with an expensive chuck of plastic. Think about guys options are better
Get the rechargable batteries and in some ways it is better than internal batteries unless off course Microsoft decides to throw in a 14 feet USB-C cable....

Pc gamer here. The specs on this thing is anything but a "budget pc". This new xbox gets almost 88% of the performance of my own system which is by far NOT a budget system.
High end PC's have had this spec for years. Now they have no excuses running games at 60fps. Only a small amount do for each console but with those specs every game should at least run at 60. I think it's ridiculous that in this day and age games are still capped at 30fps.
PC players in denial that the Series X will top 90% of PC's out there. These are the same nuggets that haven't bothered researching all the specs of the Series X since it was first announced. "The Series X won't be able to do that, because of this & that" is literally all I see. If Microsoft has announced something it can do, then it can very well do just that.
Well maybe you should listen to them then, remember when Microsoft said the Xbox one x would be more powerful than a 1080ti.spoiler alert: it wasn’t, in fact it was 4 times less powerful than they said it was. Microsoft is telling you stuff like “it will have a 11 tf graphics card” when really terraflops are marketing gimmicks that don’t say anything about the performance of the gpu, so essentially they are hiding the true performance from you just so they can take your money just like with the Xbox one x. if you think the new generation of console will even put a dent in the pc, you are delusional and haven’t done any research yourself.
stephanie mchahon • 21 years ago [COMMUNITY ADMIN] The Xbox Series X will be as powerful as they say it is, I mean mate there is literally gameplay footage showing off the XBSX power. Also the XBSX will make a dent in the PC market but for the better, once this console releases PC components are going to become significantly cheaper, so instead of shitting on the console with your whole PC Master Race bullshit you should be praising the damn thing.
Lewis Connor that’s not how it works, the gameplay footage is only 4K when everyone waffled about “8k 120fps”, 4K is still ok but pretty much any new graphics card will run 4K. I was just using the xbox one x as an example showing how every year microsoft and Sony have said the same bullshit and you lot have eaten it all up only to be disappointed again. The prices won’t decrease because the pc platform isn’t dictated by one company, whilst those companies are in competition with each over, they won’t drop prices for consoles because they know that the people already buying their products will never switch to a console because those people have already tried consoles and realised your paying a lot more than the initial price tag (Microsoft makes a cut of games sales on their store, they charge for online etc) also, all of the “new” tech in the Xbox series x has already been released on the pc years before in some cases (except rdna2 which is coming a couple of months before the new consoles come out)
If 1 teraflop means a processor can calculate 1 trillion floating point calculations, then .4 teraflops = 400 billion. So there may only be a .4 teraflop difference between XBOX and PS but that’s still a significant difference. That would mean XBOX can calculate 400,000,000,000 more calculations per second than PlayStation can. That’s huge.
@@liamx1273 it smokes majority of PCs people have. Apparently the numbers in this video mean nothing to you. If you went and spent $600 on a 2070 super you would only have 9 teraflops. Now go buy your motherboard, cpu, ram, case, monitor etc. And it will still be weak compared to this. I spent $1200 on my PC two years ago and this blows it away on every spec so I'm making the switch.
AthosJosue on paper maybe but they have only given you how many terraflops it has ( something that says nothing about the speed of a gpu) so your pc is actually very likely to crush the new consoles.
