I just got mine on Christmas, it worked a week and the fan doesn't turn on at all. I didn't get any error message though. I'm wondering why I'm having the worst lag I've ever seen, and thought it was the network itself, but isn't. It probably damaged the board or something
The warranty sticker was already broken. The owner did not have warranty. They tore back the warranty sticker and realized they didn't have the right screwdriver to take it apart. They called me because I repair electronics, build and fix computers, ect.. I don't normally get consoles coming in for repair. I'm just the local computer guy and I fix anything I can get my hands on. Recorded the video in me work shed. It used to be a chicken coop lol I know the owner personally and knew they would not care if I smoked a cig while working on it. I have a clean workspace inside, I don't just bring electronics in my house though. My shed is more of a staging area than anything. I have in the past brought a laptop in my home that had roaches in it... That sucked.. So now, everything gets a once over before going inside. I work on tec for everyone and you NEVER know what could be inside/on peoples stuff... When I get in a high priority customer, who you can tell is a clean freak, I walk them inside to my super clean area. You can see my setup and the nerd room in my other vids. I'm not voiding warranties in my ugly shed... JS
I have only had 3 consoles in for repair in 10 years lol. I mostly build repair configure and maintain computers. Sometimes people need a stereo or some subwoofers installed. Sometimes I get something obscure like a segway with a busted charging port. Random electronics. I do software stuff, networking a lil and cellphone troubleshooting. iFixit kit and the internet will get you anything you need to know about a console pretty quickly. I haven't done a full teardown on the Newer Xbox, but it can't be worse than a chromebook, or an old laptop with the motherboard in upside down lol Thanks for the info
Camera perspective might be your issue here. I could drop that thing right back in there. Just considering the size of my finger to the holes then the star is pretty clear. The owner deff didn't pull it apart. He didn't have the right bits for the screws. He even noticed that the fan wasn't spinning, then brought it to me. He tore the sticker though. I like to remove and reapply them.
I wouldn't take someone's thing apart if they had warranty... Literally anyone... I would have little to gain and then be responsible for someone's stuff? Why would you take apart something that has warranty? That's why they brought it to me. They didn't know what to do and I told em I would figure it out and fix it. Because no warranty... Thankfully it was simple.
Wait are you playing on raytrace because I had the same issue but with Witcher 3 which use the same game engine. It’s use to overheat on cyberpunk like crazy until i sent it to Microsoft and it did solve it till recently it’s started doing again. I cleaned it but the fans go crazy and overheats.
I'll do it again. lolz The owner smokes black and milds in the house. So I did not care if I lit a cig with it. The shed is for the old grungy tec. Anything nice goes in the house for a fix. Dude, people bring me shit with roaches in it from time to time. I work for poverty level people, and people with more money than they know to do with. Every case is different. Most things go to this shed for me to clean their human skin out of, check for roaches.. If it's in this shed, it's gettin smoked around because I won't bring it in my home. (this console came from a smoker) Learned the hard way about people having gross tec. Mr IT'S GONNA REEK FOR YEARS, could use a nap. I assure the people that I smoke a cig around their thing in my shed, don't give a single shit. I don't smoke in the house and nice, clean things, get fixed in the house. If you start doing support and random repairs for rednecks, trailer trash, and the like. Let me know how it goes for ya and if ya care about the cig anymore. FYI I was born and raised trailer trash and if you know what I'm saying, it's that this is a per client basis. This client did not care. Beyond that, it's none of your business. I just felt inclined to reply when I saw another, "Ewww smoking" comment. Smoke em if ya got em.
@@DREAD69XI You are right it is none of my business. Thanks for the explanation. I too clean up and tinker with tech. Sometimes I find the most disgusting consoles. Sigaret consoles, in my opinion, are disgusting. That's where my comments came from. Never had a bug infested console yet. Thank the lord
