if you slide jump and dont aim in does it do a dead slide with hands showing like is it a glitch or idk when i slide jump with aim, I slide one more time and lose all momentum just me or what?

That was the one I was hoping he'd cover. I've had a game where someone had insane strafe in the air and I could never try to mimic that.

I kinda wish they'd take that out. They can leave in the bhops, jump shots and slide cancels, but air strafing is just disgusting lol

Your head Jumping •’•’•’ Strafing •-•-•- Crouching•.•.•.•.• This game has way different multipliers for where you hit for example the headshot multiplier for the ak is like 33hp body is 22 and legs I believe are like 17 maybe when you jump that forces the areas that do less damage to where the opponent is aiming and for strafing it’s just really easy to track left and right and it’s more difficult to track up left up right down left down right. And if you are crouching during a 1v1 your basically forcing the person to hit a headshot if they are already aiming for your body which most people are because it’s the biggest area

@@coboss4198 yeah I’ve been made aware of that since this post. The jumping has been effective but appears to be a big point of contention in the community, also sounds like it may see a nerf in the coming days

I'd personally like to see it tone down where you get either an accuracy penalty while in the air or simply just locking you in place on where you're jumping to. I do think movement like bunny hopping can stay to help with staying alive, tho I think the fair trade off is you'll be missing some shots mid air so it's a little harder to fire back at the person. In an arcade shooter like XDefiant, movement skills is important to have but shouldn't be a crutch to win games.

When you strafe left and right when you redirect you are stationary and your player models position is in one area to long, the air strafe is hard to telegraph which is what makes it so effective. Jumping off the top Rope and redirecting back when you are over top of someone will almost always make them turn around giving you an advantage

I feel you but I'm also thankful for this tutorial. After I reached level 25 the game doesn't hold my hand anymore so I either have to improve and follow the same strategy the sweats be doing or constantly lose in a gun battle because these matches isn't a joke anymore

Pretty much what Jherzia said. You don't have to be MLG pro at these shooters but you do have to know what the game considers the basics down to find success. A lot of times just playing the objectives and simply holding off the opposing team from taking them is enough to try to win without sweating. On the otherhand, Hot Shot is the casual mode where you don't have to worry about winning and focus on improving your gun skills. I stopped caring about wins and loses when solo queueing, there has been a match where a person full on went AFK and the game didn't kick him out for inactivity. So I personally find no reason to go tryhard if the game punishes lone wolf strategems to turn games around. XDefiant is a team based shooter like TF2 and Overwatch with a CoD paint coating using Ubisoft IPs, until they decide to add in other party game modes or even free for all, I just accept that this game rewards having teammates you can get into games with consistently while also being able to get gud.

They exist, but games like this and CoD are arcade shooters, so you might want to look at other shooters that aren't like XDefiant.

@@rslerch1113 its not a skill issue. Its a game defect that should be considered an exploit. Not realistic movement. I'm sure they will nerf it.

@@rslerch1113 i have very good aim and I'm a quick scoper. This movement is not realistic at all. Practically is breaking the game. Put in a support ticket last night for them to look into bunny hopping. I have heard they will be nerfing it by adding a faster fatigue/cool down to it. Will be nice to play a game legitly without seeing children constantly hopping around the map. Aim should not be stable while jumping period.
