When I first heard this song and the rest of the album I was saying “oooh Caitlin is going to LOVE this” You always pick up on Gunil’s superb drumming and he kills it in this song! Thank you for your reaction!!
also the company is doing a terrible job at promoting, a lot of villains didn’t even know they were having a comeback and StudioJ is not even making an effort in promoting either the BTB MV not the LiveLock album. so PLEASE HELP STREAMING AND SPREADING❤️
My thoughts on the concept is that they're (obviously) in ♭form jail, but it's virtual, which allows them to do the loop to the Heroes. It fits well with the title of the album Livelock, which in computer terminology means that two or more processes continually repeat the same interaction without anything changing. So to break the Livelock and escape ♭form jail they have to Break the Brake. Also if you look close enough, there's a sign in the train station that has the dates of this and Deadlock's cbs with a new date of 04/04 and says 'Trouble Shooting' (next comeback spoiler??). This may be a stretch but I think it'll have something to do with the 404 error code you get when a website is down.
love your reaction Caitlin! it's always lovely to see you react and insights for Xdinary Heroes. the song is SO good like they never disappoint. and i think you were referring to Gunil's double pedals at the end of the song lol ok so quick rundown about Xdinary Heroes' lore about ♭form, its basically a virtual musical band assemble game that the Heroes join. (Villains please cmiiw): Happy Death Day was about them assembling as a band for the first time, Test Me was about them rigging the already rigged system of band competition, Haircut was about them getting all attention for winning the band competition (though they rigged it, hence why the song, mv and album have all these unsettling vibes), Freakin Bad was them getting caught and being interrogated, and here in Break The Brake they broke out of jail. all the album side tracks have all the same themes as well if you check it out! also they have all these videos that adds more to the lore, such as Xdinary Heroes Begins which how the boys joined the ♭form, and there is even an introductory video narrated in english by Gunil what even is ♭form lol its so interesting! i totally encourage you to watch the guides because these boys are amazing, talented and so entertaining. if you want to, maybe you can also do video guide to their lore as well if someone uploaded them. or if not, you can watch the official ♭form lore related stuffs on your own too! they also have their own variety show Rock The World, which maybe you can do a reaction series later on. but of course, please take your time and i wish you healthy!
I just knew you would love this album a lot more than the last one. every song deserve to be a title. can't wait for you to hear PLUTO, ENEMY and PARANOID. all of the tracks on this album is superb but these three hits different specially if you read the lyrics

This album was so 2009/2010/2011 alt rock coded. My Chemical Romance, Arctic Monkey’s, Mindless Self Indulgence, A Day To Remember, Green Day’s later work, Falling Reverse, Escape the Fate…all influences I can hear in this album. And Break the Brake is actually the weakest song in the album for me. Paranoid/Enemy made me CRY girl. I feel like Good Enough was their magnum opus, like an actual masterpiece of a song, and I had to temper my expectations when it came to Livelock that we weren’t going to get a song at that level again. So when I finally did that I realized that Livelock is actually their best body of work to date. I can’t wait to see your reaction to the album whenever it comes!

THE LORE HAS BEEN THERE SINCE THEIR DEBUT, THEY ARE SO SMARTTTT ⁉ In the beginning, they were party clowns and unhappy with their lives, so WHAT THEY DID WAS TO ENTER A BANDS CONTEST IN TEST ME, but they failed bc of their opponent was cheating, so they hacked into the contests web and put their band name into the list, so they could perform. They won the competition in Test me and became famous, but that kind of life just didn't fit them, so they started to feel anxious and weird, maybe bc of the pressure. Their only way to escape that life is by becoming a criminal, the metaphor with Haircut is that they wanted to cut "the hair" that attached them to that life. Boom, now criminals the police start to look for them, so they end up in their current era, break the brake. HOPE IS NOT TOO MESSY, but idk how to explain in another way TT

with the vine thing ive been confused too but just assumed it was a concept that they dropped since for haircut the chorus originally had a darker melody and lyrics that were about vines and stuff but were forced to make it brighter by jyp pretty last minute so its possible that the original concept wouldve been darker but got abandoned ? not really sure though
