I never understood how those Gears were supposed to get out of the Hollows, like some of them JUST got there, and now they’re supposed to just run away? I also don’t know how any of the Locust slaves were supposed to get out of there in time, but I guess it’s just one of those things, still love this game though.
The COG spared no soul on E-day. Destroying their own civilizations killing more humans than locust. Which was a real life reflection on how governments count civilian/soldier lives as "collateral". Probably didn't think twice about how many wouldn't make it during the process of sinking jacinto specially since they were racing to sink it before the locust could evacuate. The locust were desperate, the COG were too.
For those asking the question; Biggest themes to take note of in this series, the horrors of war, the cost of victory, destroyed beauty, and the sacrifice of the few for the good of the many. From the hammer strikes, and 13 years later flooding the hollows, many gears, civilians, and stranded were left to die in the flood. Read the book Jacintos Remnant it will fill in a lot of the gaps
