Bones keep the chicken meat from drying out. It's why you always leave the bones in when grilling ribs too. Because the membrane between the meat and bone will let all the moisture out. Unless you're searing your chicken nuggets and hot wings, you won't have any way of sealing in the fat and flavor that the bone gives you. Plus stock made for soups and sauces is made from the left over bones and its where you get that savory flavor. So, yeah, if you like dry flavorless chicken then by all means do it WRONG and eat it without the bones intact Madge.

@@lekaine6017 for the moisture perhaps, but the flavour doesnt come close. Bone cooked chicken will always have more flavour than breaded chicken and if you say otherwise then you can't tell the difference between seasoning and flavour.

@@CheesusCrusts I don't think there is a difference because the quality of the chicken is frozen meat already. If you cook it yourself, make stuffed wings to add ingredients that flavors the meat inside... Sauces only coat the outside and after chewing through them, starts to go bland.

Also, most chicken wings uses lean chicken I think, and fat = flavor so you are cheaping out on the taste. Unless you use a butter injection or some sort.

Just so you know, there is a lot of flavor in chicken bones. The bones are commonly used for making chicken stock, you get more flavor from the bones than from the meat.

Yep, I used to buy a roast chicken and then use the bones to make stock after eating the meat. But these days I'm lazy and just use the carton stuff.
