My favorite thing about Imperials recounting the fall of the Aeldari is the complete lack of self awareness they possess. Even in your older videos your decision to play a role and tell a story rather than just read off a wiki adds so much more flavor to the stories of 40K.
Up until now I though there was a major time line mistake with the Elder Empire and Human Federation both being dominant powers at the same time. This video makes excellent sense of that apparent contradiction though showing that while the Elder were arguable at the peek of there power at the same time humanity was the former had by that point no interest in projecting that power on the galactic stage.
People often speculate about the Eldar being the aliens who, sort of, fought alongside the Humans against the Men of Iron. This is what makes me think that's unlikely. It's actually more probable that it was Orks (maybe the first Blood Axes?) who wanted in on the fighting.

Man, as a writer I cannot imagine the amount of work you had to put in to lean so hard on Imperial xenophobia while still remaining ultimately informative. Your stuff is always top notch, but it really does take a damn side of skill to pull that off. Well bloody done man.
After the resurrection of Guilliman and the creation of an alliance it seems like that, atleast a part of the Aeldari specie, finally learned that Mankind is the galaxy only hope for a better future and the better specie. There is a reason for why after we had cataclysms of destructive magnitude similar to the birth of Slaanesh, three to he exact, we still survived and came back even stronger. The rebellion of the Men of Iron, basically the base for our entire empire, didn't stop us and is regarded as a minor speed bump. The Age of Strife destroyed our old empire but the moment it ended immediately multiple human empires rose from the ashes. The Horus Heresy and the "death" of the Emperor contrary to Eldar conviction didn't destroy the Imperium that instead survived. If you want we can count even the Age of Apostasy, the Mechanicus civil war, the Tyranids arrival. All things that would have destroyed the mighty Aeldari empire but that instead the Imperium still survived, even in its worse form. But now the Primarchs are returning, the Emperor is healing, the Mechanicus inventing. A new era as started for mankind but it will not be easy. Chaos has finally broken trought Cadia. The Orks are preparing the greatest WAAAGH ever. The Tyranids fleets are all heading to Holy Terra. But Mankind will not fall even against those odds, that some would consider impossible, because it is our birth right to dominate this galaxy! So forward, brother and sisters and various other genders, to show this xeno what REAL galactic dominators look like! Forward, WITH COURAGE AND HONOUR!

The rebellion of the Men of Iron wasn't a "minor speed bump". Humanity reached its peak during the dark age of technology. All the emperor could do was trying to pick up the pieces. And yet the Imperium never met the same prosperity and scientifical advancement. And then the Emperor "died" and got stuck on his golden chair. Yes, humans in WH40k are resilient, but each set back let them weaker than they used to be. The main theme of WH40K is that the Golden Age is long past, never to return. And even the greatest victories just delay the inevitable. Hopefully, the Imperium of Man will stall for time as long as they can sell tabletop figurines, novels and video games. Or they will end up like the squats.

A curious thought I have had, it seems what records we have of humanity in the Dark Age of Technology paints them as utilizing truly fantastic weaponry such as the Men of Iron, Castigator class titans, and weaponry that manipulates time itself. The galaxy is a dangerous place, but such destructive capabilities seem odd for a time of relatively peaceful expansion and exploration. We also know that the Dark Eldar are the closest to what their empire resembled before the fall, wielding weapons of unbelievable destructive capabilities and combined with the psychic might of their race would have made them nearly unstoppable. And worse, with their descent into madness and debased pleasure the need for new victims was likely far worse than Dark Eldar raids in the 41st millennium. Here is my theory, in the early stages of the Eldar's descent into hedonism, but before the tides in the warp became untenable and humanity collapsed the Eldar took to raiding human worlds just like their Dark Eldar descendants do now. Humanity created their weapons of war to fight the Eldar raiders but still paled in comparison to the warp powers and technological capabilities of that ancient empire. Eventually humanity simply became too difficult of a target for any but the most determined flesh merchants or perhaps the warp storms and rebellions of the Men of Iron collapsed the human resistance leaving the Eldar to continue on their debased path, regardless the hatred of the two remains ingrained across countless human worlds.
Could be a fair interpretation and definitely fits the history as known. OTOH, the space hippies of the Federation in a different universe accidentally create cosmic WMDs every year or so. You can do a lot when your society is enlightened, the basic sciences have effectively limitless resources thrown at them, and then you get punched in the face.
This video is very different that all others as of yet. It was disturbing, almost to the point of closing the video in that the Imperium chronicler truly hated, despised; there's not a deep enough word for such disgust. Fantastic video to invoke said emotions. The Eldar from this period still live on, they are now known as the Dark Eldar, when in fact their the original eldar and the craftworld Eldar who claim their heritage are in fact outcasts, betrayers; empty and hollow of emotion and feeling.

Something to remember about the Aeldari, is like the Ork. They are biological weapons, psyker soldiers for now long gone war. So as the Ork degenerated from the Kork. So too did the Aeldari degenerate into well eventually the Eldar.
I love how by the end you condemn the arrogance of the eldar by believing themselves masters of the galaxy while immediately after using them as an example of those who oppose humanity's rule, nice use of hipocrecy.
I can see you narrating a post-apocalyptic,lovecraft,or a really dark fallout book. You just have the speech and the voice to put someone in that world; Or hell even a 40k novel. I hope you are able to achieve that goal. Cant wait for the next video,mate!
For every Xenomorph covered. I take greater comfort in the benevolence and supremacy of The Emperor of Mankind. It was not self corruption that destroyed Humanity. It took dirty tricks from those that lived within the warp to use artefacts to bring Horus down. By turning him and others against our glorious father. I have no doubt. The Emperor will prove triumphant. In Him do we draw strength. As was stated on Ancient Terra by Isiac Newtonous. "For every action. There is an equal and opposite reaction". I think this is really unrealistic for a civilization to fall. If the Eldar fell apart like this then they would have been destroyed by the orks and other factions.

Not sure if it was all the sardonic humour or something else but your voice and tone sounded off this episode. Usually it carries across the feeling that your a monk in Iona or some other dark age monastery . In this episode it seemed more contemporary. Great Episode non the less. Also im not sure if this is covered anywhere else but what imperial era is the Narrator from?
This is more than a little late, but he most assuredly would record these reports in High Gothic. It is both a language of academia and unity. Low Gothic would not be ideal for more than one reason, the most obvious of which is that it is a more or less mutable language, subject to differences in dialect, and, one would assume, would also change in usage and meaning with the passage of time, like any other lingua franca.

Humanity gave each Chaos god a Primarch, a legion of space marines and an unending army of cultists. There is also that second eye of terror on Terra, which is only kept at bay by the sacrifice of the Emperor. So the Mon-keigh don't really have a leg to stand on when it comes to the question of who messed up the Galaxy.
@@bengale9977 Currently it seems like everyone is at fault except the Tau and the Tyranids. The Tau are likely to go around screaming "What did you all do?!" once they discover the full extent of the mess and the Tyranids because they just plain weren't present and plan on eating everything anyway.
