My only issue with this class is... well, Alexandria has such amazing animations for her attacks, not to mention her battle stance. Taion and Noah, on the other hand, look like they are going full unga bunga. I wanted elegant crit blade, not "me smash with weird sword".
It’s kinda funny how clearly Monolith loves good ol Dame Alex. She’s the young, super successful and capable commander who is incredibly strong but much wiser and more observant than almost any of the other heroes, and also has one of the best in game classes. She’s basically an isekai protagonist given how op she is
That is actually my main complaint with Alex in general, they seemed to write her as some sort of "super cool always one step ahead of you no matter what" individual for no real good reason and it feels quite a bit forced
@@tomatop9197 the story humbles her a bit by the end, though. You're complaining about how she starts out instead of how she ends up. Characters tend to go through arcs, you know?
@@Gloomdrake Indeed. I loved learning how how she got utterly thrashed by Valdi. Granted, if you talk to Yuzet you find out it was a massive fluke, but still.
This is the class I'm using the most in post game to quickly farm materials and kill bosses. Easily one of my favorite classes so far for being simple and hitting crazy hard, without needing to set up any smash combos or anything.
For farming, wouldn't a low dmg repeated burst combo setup be better? Since every time you successfully burst, enemy drop items just like they've been killed. Just saying...
@@UltimateLordMonkey Yeah... I realized that and started doing it just recently. It's been a lot better, especially when farming non-unique mobs with really few spawns.
@@Masmix77 If you mean for burst farming, I run Sena on Ogre with break brooch and accuracy accessories to break/topple/daze, but mainly just to break. Then I have Lanz as my single tank on Guardian Commander, but anyone that can topple is probably fine. For the rest, I have 1 signifier, and 3 troubadours, and load everyone else up with topple/daze/burst arts/master arts, and capable hands. Troubadour hero too. Pretty much just about everyone can topple/burst/daze endlessly with art recharge, and I control Sena to break. You can probably optimize it more but I haven't really bothered to.
It's really disappointing however that in the first cut scene that you see the weapon, it's used as an actually whip. Then we get..... What we got. They could have made it way better.
@@Canthereoup I still really like Brighid's version of the whipswords. They even make sense in universe since a Blade's weapons are simply an extension of the Blade themselves and as such shouldn't run into the durability problem most whipswords would realistically run into
"so what did Monolith Soft do this time? The exact same thing". Good! We enjoy big numbers for big happy chemicals. I personally enjoy putting physical atk roles on Taion because of his chain order coming with a reduction to physical attack resistance and with a base 35 TP at the start so he seemed to me really good for that kind of setup.
I feel like break is good on this class because you can combine it with shield bash to do an instant topple with fusion, and its the only class that can even do that until late game.
I think just having an Ogre dedicated to break is better, then having a Seraph with topple and launch fused will run better. It’s been working wonders for me.
@@astraseven well there are limitations. The 2 arts (one master, one on the main class) have to be in order of the combo. So break with topple, topple with launch or daze, etc. You can’t go break with a launch just to skip to launch. Also whatever effect of the two goes 1st HAS to be an art on the main class. So break has to be on the main class with topple master art. Master arts take 2nd priority when fused. Another example: launch to smash. Launch has to be the art on the main class, smash the master art bc it comes 2nd
I always love a class that has one of the "standard" dps master skill (critical strike, eye for weakness, fighting prowess) built in thier class skills. Hence my inclinations toward incursor/ flash fencer and ogre. Add to that how incursor's entire skills are useful (in fact one can say it's almost overkill on critical rate sometimes) vs some other attacker classes with 1 or 2 so-so skills. Great video for a great class!
The class I was looking forward to the most before the game came out. Crit builds are fun and Alexandria has one of the best designs in the game (Miyabi being the other lol). So happy the class is fun. Big numbers are nice
Damn Incursor is strong. I’m actually going to hold off on using this after I get all the skills and arts maxed out for the characters I want to have use those skills and arts. It makes the game a little too easy, but I can’t deny I get a certain carnal satisfaction from doing an Aerial Slash/Hidden Thorn Fusion Art boosted by Power Charge and deleting half a health bar
I have been following you since my journey starting from XCDE. I still am amazed by the fact that every content you release optimizes my team greatly. I don't know when I'll stop being at awe with the way you optimize teams. Before I watched this, I was doing like 3M chain attacks purely by luck. Now, my normal chain attacks with Incursor class easily gets 3.3-3.5m bare minimum. (Beginning of Chapter 4).
Best girl? Are you talking about Alexandria?! She was horrrrriiiibblleeee!!! And she had the WORST English voice acting in the entire game. Probably in the history of voice acting. 0/9999999999
These kids don't understand the allure of a successful business woman. She's a sugar mommy, a fucking CEO of all the colonies. She's got the wealth, the beauty, the brain and the connection to send you straight to commander position without opposition. She can kiss you goodnight AND do your taxes.
Incursor is so fun to use. The class alone can do the whole smash combo by itself. By far, given it's launch damage modifiers, the smash finisher is just insane and satisfying to hit. I run incursor with: Glitter stream paired with shield bash, guarantees topple if manages hit (plus adds to talent art Guage) Soaring temptest paired with aerial slash just insta launches the enemy frame 1 and can be quickly cancelled into the smash talent art. Cross impact paired with sidewinder because, vanilla attacker stuff + talent art gauge. In less than 5 seconds you can do the whole combo by yourself and since smash causes AoE damage, then fights don't last that long. For more effectiveness, breakogre with launch focused party and enemies can be smash combo locked, all by yourself. Add troubadour and happy smashing, even if you die by aggro
Similarly, Incursor can all do a whole Burst combo by itself too. Same setup with Shield baseh, but you can attach something like Sidewinder with Myopic Screen, and then use Demise Thrust on talent art. It's definitely a little slower and the timing is a little tight, but it does exist. The fact that this class by itself can accomplish both break combos on its own is ridiculous and I'm surprised they even let Incursor get away with this.
Is there any reason you can't put Flashback, Shield Bash, Soaring Tempest and Saber Strike on any Agnus class, and Glitter Stream, Crimson Lance, Mighty Beat and Pressure Drop on basically any Keves class?
@@JoeThomas-lu6fy Nothing's stopping you from doing that, but that would require all of your master art slots + talent art slot. You're dedicating the character entirely to doing solo smash combos somewhat inefficiently too since talent art building can be rather slow depending on the character. What makes Incursor bonkers is its ability to instantly topple an enemy with Glitter Stream + Shield Bash. You're accomplishing two steps in a break combo in one move since the effect of master arts comes after the class art's effect is resolved. This can give you a lot of leeway in chain attacks since the enemy's been toppled in one motion. Compared to devoting your entire smash combo on one character, which necessitates them to do every step of the combo themselves one at a time. (Plus, talent arts can't be done in a chain attack. Making the Keves version not viable in chain attacks.)
Just wanted to say thank you for the guide. I used this one, not fully optimized (not max lvl gems, not max lvl classes, missing some Master Skills), and i managed to clap the superbosses!
THANK YOU for explaining Ultimate Qigong. This whole time I thought it had diminishing returns on enemies with low physical defense. I am immediately replacing that skill that does 40% more when using physical arts (I forget its name) for Ultimate Qigong instead, on all my builds.
i kinda wish the incursor sword was more like an Ivy Whip sword. Also definitely had a fun time learning how crazy the AI took aggro with this class early on lol
These guides have been great Enel, right now I've just been grinding the post game and doing side quests I missed out on but seeing the numbers that can be hit is exciting. Also do you think Alexandria's sword looks a bit like a shrunken down version of Zeke's purple lightning dream smasher, at least the silhouette
Her weapon is officially called "Exponential Edge," which on top of being very self-aware in how she does more damage as she does damage could bring to mind "Big Bang Edge." P.S. Xenoblade 2 weapon classes are distinct from the weapons themselves. While Pandoria's weapon _class_ is Big Bang Edge, her default _weapon?_ Purple Lightning Edge.
Love the guides man. Have been watching since the xenoblade 2 vids! What are your thoughts on best ouroboros shared skills(forgot what they called them)
I prefer to use the Quick draw master art as it provides another evasive move, and does two hits- both dealing 540% when attacking from the front. Massive damage
I absolutely love this class and I’ve been using it in Noah since I got the class. I was also able to get an 83% crit rate on him I have since changed my build but that was still fun
This is kinda random but I think a hero tier list would be helpful for people. Just knowing how effective hero’s are generally in and out of chain attacks. I guess just bringing Ashera all the time works too though lol.
My favorite class. Noah has been my main dps monster on this ^^ Been trying out the Lone Exile's Gale Slash since its 5 hits so it might give faster Adroit Blade stacks? Not sure if its on damage instances or per art. Then again soaring tempest also is a multihit art
I didn't know hard mode affected the durations of some things, I thought it was just damage and health related. Is that mentioned anywhere or was it just something empirical that people figured out? Guides are great as always, keep it up! The Stalker class is something I'd like to see a guide on since it seems differently paced.
Can't wait to unlock this class on the rest of my characters! I've been liking it on Taion but I really want to try it out on Noah. I keep getting more excited the more I realize there's not a single bad class in this game
@@0videoboy0 I've heard some people say that, and I haven't been loving it so far, but the weapon and animations are almost cool enough to make up for it!
I was running like 3 FMJs when I got access to Incursor (super early actually because I'm a wacko that explored the high level areas immediately), and ever since I got Incursor, I either was running an Incursor or wishing I was running an Incursor. Fun class + big damage = hard mode annihilation.
Me yesterday: I should request an Incursor guide, was high on the tier list, sounds fun *never actually commented it* Enel: I literally read minds you see
7:02 This is something I've been wondering about for a while watching your videos. You seems to have a great distain for debuffs in this game but you are recommend hidden thorn on basically every physical attacker. According to you, the bleed will almost never go through (even if you have skills to support it) and the 150% total damage buff from something like fatal bite should far outclass the extra 100% base power from hidden thorn and its on a much shorter cooldown.
The "Crit" class I have fallen in lvoe with, besides the Full Metal Jaguar just cuz of the name and guns. I hope one of the DLC waves gives us a hero with a universal unique weapon, like Bridget's YoYo from Guilty Gear Strive. xD
Not that it's necessary but one strat I saw someone talking about is leveraging the combined relatively low aggro value + innate higher crit autos to charge up skills and then using the Martial Artist talent art to dump damage, I dunno if it's better than spamming but Incursor is definitely a job that can run that sort of setup. They're also able to run the refund art recharge on crit passive and leverage something like tyrant bite to basically get a positional even from a Keves art every few seconds.
The set I'm suggesting is probably not the best, but it is funniest. Using the skills Frenzied combo and Dance of Barrages will basically allow you to spam arts nearly indefinitely. Pair this up with a power charge spamming Signifer and art recharging Troubadour and you'll shred through boss HP... if you don't die from the shear amount of aggro your getting.
I little bonus fact: in this game block rate and crit rate are able based on level but no matter what level you are you'll always get that 100% crit rate with incurser as long as the class rank is 20 and the enemy is launched!
You probably know it already but since they didn't show up in your "all superbosses" video I thought I'd tell you anyway. There is a duo of lvl 102 monsters (King Krawkin & Conqueror Deepwan) in "Demihuma Gutter" at the end of the "malevolent hollow". It's located in a cave at the "searing strand" (geothermal zone in erythia sea). A really long cavern filled to the brim with lvl 96-100 monsters. Correct me if I'm wrong but since they are lvl 100+ & unique I thought they'd count as superbosses. On the map "searing strand" is located just to the right from where you first enter the erythia sea by boat. A little below and then to the right of Vinisog Holm.
Watching this showed me one thing that i glanced over early on, you can choose who goes next in the chain order. I am lv 50+ in this game and i just noticed this now 💀
The second that I was able to use Incursor on Noah and Sena, I immediately leveled them up to 10 on them both. I liked running Infinity Blade on Noah with this, rather then *Spoiler Talent Art*, because it recharged faster, and that Power Multiplier is JUICY. Also because I’m not sure if the Crit Rate of Incursor passed on to *Spoiler Talent Art*, so I didn’t bother.
@@themonkeyman2910 I mean the first thing I thought when I saw it was that we better get to have it as a class weapon. And it’s not like the aegis true form where nothing even hinting at it appears before launch. But that’s me.
I run incursor on Noah with unlimited sword and it's very fun, the crit items I have for lucky seven mode is overkill on incursor but min maxing is not needed when signifer exists
Just would like to know if you will do another build guide for soul hacker. Last time you just only discuss how strong as a attacker. Would like to know if there is another build as defender or healer.
I think she's just built around a bad mechanic, that being reflect. She can survive the apocalypse with all that block and defense, plus the improved block damage reduction, but she needs a better method of keeping aggro permanently, regardless of damage dealt. That said however, reflect just doesn't hit as hard as arts will, which I've admittedly never fully understood as the percentages are often similar? I would think the 280% reflect gem would be OP when getting attacked quickly, but it just doesn't do much.
It’s just a fun class to set up everything to have as high a critical rate that does as much damage as possible. Always hitting hardest in my chain attacks
I hope in an update we can get customizable difficulty. I would love to make my healers heal so much hp and our buffs to stay on way longer. Nerf the enemies debuffs so hard.
Assuming crit damage is additive with itself with the gem and passive for c dmg, and the long animation of the art. Wonder if worth runing over another atk art
I haven't watched all of these guides yet, but I recall you saying that Noah's, Eunie's and Taion's Ouroboros order are the best ones for damage and I'm still a little lost on that. Which one should I always try to go for?
Honestly its nice to use the obviously best strategies in the game, but I've been enjoying using some lesser setups. Using a combo of Seraph and Machine Assassin is very interesting when you get it to work. Seraph can set Bleed and Blaze arts and run Rage Amulet and the Bleed amulet which increase bleed and blaze damage by 300%. You can then use a Stalker to hit for some insane damage with standard crit setup. Its less of an individual build and more of a party constitution. Running two troubadors and getting fast recharge up makes it pretty fun to use against some unique monsters. Havent tried it against the super bosses. But you can get the Blaze and Bleed ticking for 500k-700k each. Its very powerful and feels fun to do. Thats what I love about the postgames. Its fun to setup the ungabunga stuff like Incursor, Ogre, FMJ. But the other niche builds are even more fun and you feel more accomplished for coming up with them. Cant wait to see all the stuff the community comes up with before December.
Just gotta say Aerial Slash x Cross Impact is absolutely hilarious in chain attacks, like you just spam it every time your character gets reactivated and very quickly it'll start deleting whole chunks of the enemy's HP or just OHKO them right there.
Does cross impact empower the move (aerial slash in this case) that it is paired with when using them as a fusion art? Or does the buff only come after both moves are used in the fusion? Hope that makes sense. If the buff comes after, wouldnt you have to alternate between that and the stronger fusion arts in chains?
I would like to see a lone exile build. I had a funny thought that it can run wide slash, aerial slash and jackal claw and have all its fusion give evasion. Can Gemini strike for even more evasion. Probably not optimal but funny. I also realised from this that the only evasion keves art is on fmj because there aren't any evasion arts in xc1 but there are evasion arts in xcx.
Incursor is my favorite class I haven't optimized it in any sense other then getting a high crit hit rate I don't know how high it can get but at level 94 with Noah I have a 88% chance to crit I run as accessories thermo headgear for 17 percentage point boost to crits Mercurii Rings for 60% boost to crit Saturni Ring for an attack boost For skills Cypher edge Critical Strike Ultimate Qigong and Gems Empowered Combo (I only use fusion arts never arts by themselves) Steady Striker and Analyze Weakness with Arts I have Glitter Stream with Hidden Thorn Aerial Slash and Cross Impact Sidewinder and Demolition (hoping I can get that bypass to defense Idk if that does anything with crits) It is not optimized to do anything other then get crits on every hit while I wait for my arts to recharge I don't expect anyone to use this class the way I do but here's hoping someone can optimize what I did if they want
I just wonder if you will make a video of thing to do before doing new game plus like in the first game ? When I saw the kit of the class, I knew it will be Stier just because of his critical rate
well there's not really any benefits to NG+ that I know of so I'm not sure if there's much reason to do NG+ currently. Maybe I could make some kind of completion checklist video?
"I have a dream that in the next patch Monolith will buff Keves arts." Well, this video is dedicated to Valdi's unconventional "friend". So, there is a possibility.
Best class already? Love the big numbers this thing can pull, I hit for over 1.1M on both hits of the AS/HT combo outside of a chain attack. I find this class has more consistent dmg in chain setups than Soulhacker due to the 100% crit rate which is why its my pick for best dmg, even if Soulhacker highrolls more. Also I just love seeing the HP bar get chunked in one frame, probably my favorite class alongside Zephyr.
Not the best class since sig exists but you could possibly make an argument for second though I think soulhacker and ogre have a bit more going for them.
