The girl was not born in South Africa and she's not South African,her father was interviewed, he says he came to South Africa with a tourist visa in 2010 during the world cup, he then married a South African woman (probably fraudulently) and brought he's real family from Nigeria to South Africa, so the girl does not speak any South African native languages she doesn't identify with South Africa but she wants to compete in South African pageant,make it make sense,i know this doesn't fit your narrative but you have to understand why South Africans would feel this way.
