Only problem is you can’t really duel with xenopixels. A lot of company’s say you can with theirs but you see a lot of aftermath photo’s with blades missing led’s. I went for the rgb one because me and my mate both bought one to start dueling eachother. Replacing an RGB blade is €50 instead of €150 for a Xenopixel and the RGB one will break a lot less easy because it’s just a tube. Not a tube with hundreds of fragile RGB lights in them. The rgb one still looks good, way better as they did a couple years ago. Now with smoothswing and stuff they are a bargain for just over €100. If you want to duel get rgb baselit, you want a cosplay get the xenopixel.
Comparissons like these can mislead people new to the lightsaber hobby. So let's set a few things straight. A baselit saber used a LED-module that's in the hilt to light up the blade. Very often the blade is brighter at the hilt side and becomes dimmer near the tip. These LED-modules often consist of three or four "Cree's", these being high powered LED's. There are a few variations of these modules that impact the brightness and color variations. A quad cree often has a single dedicated color. Although the wattage is higher than a tri-cree the quad cree doesnt sit ideally under the focus lens and therefore in the end is not much brighter than a tri cree. An RGB tri cree has the most amount of color options. However depending on the color the brightness varies. White is the brightest since it uses all three cree's for mixing the color. Red, blue and green all just use one cree. Magenta, cyan and yellow all use two cree's and therefore are twice as bright as red, blue and green. Lastly you can have a dedicated tri cree either with 3x a color or 2x a color and once clash color. In my opinion this is the best option since you have a brighter saber than an rgb with the "weaker colors" and still have a dedicated flash color. Whenever you are in the dark two dedicated cree's is enough to properly light up a blade. Neopixel is lit up more evenly and a little brighter but does not last as long. Some sabers just go up to an hour before needing a charge. Neopixel sabers can be used for duelling but not anything too heavy. The real draw to a pixel saber is the bladeffects. There's also a small drop in module compatible(consisting of an rgb led) with a neopixel saber that allows the user to duel with their saber using a standard blade. Most sabers on the market charge insane amounts of money for their hilts and electronics so installing one yourself is a good option if you can handle it.
@@J_Keyz Do want sound? Do you want neopixel or in hilt led? Do you want to be able to unscrew the hilt into two working sabers or just one fixed hilt with two blades?
@@J_Keyz padawan outpost has a darth maul hilt for 475 dollars, which is a very good deal for two xenopixel sabers. Now I am not much a fan of the durability of LGT sabers compared to doing an install yourself. However these are a good option bang for the buck wise. They also have a fallen order staff. You can also buy two of their cheapest xeno sabers and probably find a coupler somewhere. Note that you might find the saber sabers for cheaper on etsy or elsewhere. In an ideal situation I do recommend a removable battery setup, proffie and nicer hilt but that will cost a lot more if you do not install the saber yourself.
@@florisvanlingen Man how do you know about all this stuff? I'd love to get a saber worth the money but not too intense about it as I have no intentions of cosplaying/dueling, just want one to have around the house for fun lol. It's difficult trying to decide where to buy and you seem to know way more than I thought was possible aha.
Damn bro I own a xeno and I want another saber but didn't know if I should spend more for a xeno because this time i wanna get a actual characters lightsaber and I defo should get another xeno
A xenopixel is definitely better because of the electronics it looks like the light is coming out of the hilt but a base lit is a great choice if you want to practice spins and see how you like having a saber
“Let’s put our sabers and see which one is longer” “O o k” 😅 “Now to see which one is longer let’s turn it on” *turns on both of them and one is the red colored on* “Uh O-“ *gets stabbed and dies*.
