Can't remember any other foreign language I learned in highschool-but I can recall the meaning of the german titles of these games clear as if it was yesterday.
The first trailer I ever saw for Xenosaga. I remember this trailer was on Gamespot and I used to watch it all the time at home and in school. Finally got my hands on only Episode II since that was the only release in the UK (They missed both I and III for some stupid reason). I used to play the heck out of it until I grew older and finally got access to both Episode I and III. Loved it all. Will always have memories of this series and specifically this trailer.
The first Song is called "The Image Theme of Xenosaga II" and the second one (after the szene with Fabronia) is called "communication breakdown". Btw. Xenosaga is the best game series ever... I want the afterstory with a potential remake of Xenogears so badly...
@@dice_for_death 15 years later... I'm also still hoping. xD And it turns out I can't edit a 15 year old message easily. I meant to write "scene". I'm also working on remaking Pied Piper, which is about 89% finished now. :D
@@CycloneFox Link me, please? I'm very curious about PP. (Maybe I shouldn't use that shortening....) Show me your PP! (...nah still doesn't work for me)
This game came out in 2004, eight years later this is still one of my favorite trailers of all time, if only the game were half as awesome as the trailer. Its not a bad game, but i always felt i had been promised more.
Oof. I loved xenosaga 1 so much. When this japanese trailer came out, I watched it 40 or 50 times a day every day...then it came out. I have never been so disappointed by anything in my life. I was immediately burned out on video games for a couple years and still haven't recovered fully. Still a great trailer though
Despite the controversial changes to the gameplay mechanics, design, etc., in Ep II, while its not the funnest game to play, it did have good substance for presentation and style. Much more fun to watch than play.
I would love to see an edited version of this with the english lines in place. Since I pretty much know what each line is supposed to be in this trailer. Noteably the part with chaos at 5:44 would give me goosebumps right at the end. "I've made up my mind, I won't hold back anymore..."
This is one of the best videogame trailers I've ever seen. Come to think of it, it's been like that for the past few years... Long after finishing the game xP. Beautiful soundtrack, awesome characters, memorable storyline. Great game, all in all =)
wow, i remember watching this trailer a long time ago with my sis and we loved it so much that we watched it like three times in a row, lol XD but the game was SO long...i remember one cutsene was like 20 minutes long cuz i timed it O_o
@Joehop777 Yes that is true unfortunately. Yeah so I heard it was new and fresh, it did deserve the popularity it got while it was brought out. It's a shame The US doesn't appreciate some games and let's them go by. It was pretty descriptive,a few things and characters pasts were left cloudy but over all it was great. Shame to see such a good game canceled. But thanks for explaining
This trailer was better than the game itself really..... story, music, characters, it doesn´t matter if the final game wasn´t good, trailer was awesome and bring me a lot of good memories.
The Xenosaga games are pretty, uh... questionable, but this is easily one of the best video game trailers I've ever seen. I remember watching it over and over again back in middle school, trying to imagine what might be going on.
@Joehop777 Oh wow, yeah! I heard of that and it does sound interesting, but I will go to that site and look into it. Thanks alot for the information Guess all we can do now is enjoy the trilogy, and maybe hope for a new one, after all anything is possible :")
First the HD version has to actually exist... Which it doesn't. But if there was an HD port/remake it would be on the WiiU. Monolith is owned by Nintendo, and the last game to be released in the series was Xenosaga DS.
No, the last game released, was Xenosaga Ep III. I & II for the DS came out in Japan in March 2006, while Ep III came out in Japan in July 2006. The only reason I & II was made to begin with was to flesh out some story concepts and plot-errors not covered in the course of production of the separate development of Ep i and Ep II, but that the series creator felt needed to be addressed so that the Ep I & II story would match better to then upcoming Ep III storyline. Now if they were successful or not, that, I wish I knew. Its a very ambitious series so the end-product of each game and the series as a whole is different than the initial grand idea.
wow... it feels like i've played this game only 2 years ago. the story was so intense. funny tho, i rarely trained rubedo so when I did the last fight at the end, albedo was so damn weak so that it wouldn't be impossible to win.
the story in the first was the best but as for game play 3 is really up there if they did not mess up the game mechanics from the first to the second i believe it would have smoked the final fantasy series out of the water and finally put that dead horse to rest.
This game is awesome, great story and awesome combat, too bad it was the only one in the series I played :( I still blame Namco Bandai for not bringing the first and third game to Europe (angry face)
I should get two in the mail soon. im just about to beat 1 for the second time, im off to Proto Merkabah after I finish mintia and get all the AIDS units. Too bad I hear number 2 isn't nearly as good as 1. And for the last boss or an epic boss the first song would have made fantastic music. If they had put it as the Albedo fight in Episode I i bet it coulda gained One Winged Angel status.
I was a huge fan of Xenogears and actually did not like these games (from a gameplay perspective). However Yuki Kajiura and Yastunori Mitstuda did an amazing job on the soundtracks.
Wow...not only are the movies IN game long...but the trailer to the game is long too XD I say it's long, because trailers for games, that I've seen, aren't usually 6 1/2 min.
I loved this trailer. Possibly one of the most brilliant ones I had ever seen. Too bad the game itself was relativley weak. But they more than made up for it with the 3rd game!
Yuki Kajiura is known for just chanting sound in her songs so it is just jibberish really. They should've had more gameplay in the second not cutscenes. I'm actually glad they cut down on them.
@songoku17 Hahahahahaha! Albedo laugh is needed here. Capable of MATCHING FF? Please, Xenosaga far surpassed the so-called masterpieces of Final Fantasy. Great games to be sure, but Xenosaga will be known eternally by it's fans as what it was: Amazing, in every sense of the word. I seriously find your statement quite funny, though maybe it's just me.
I hate how the graphics of this game make Jin look like an old man. In general I'm not fond of the graphics for this game... Episode III was much better.
The story of this game was definetly an improvement. The gameplay...not so much. If the gameplay was as wide as the first or third game, the series would have remained a popular trend.
