LOVE Ivory Route! What I find fascinating is how many women love this on themselves. It's not something I'd describe as a'feminine leaning unisex'. I would say it smells like a masculine fragrance. I'd even think it would be a challenging, polarising fragrance that would take some dedicated effort for a woman to really come around to liking and yet, chicks LOVE IT! I wish I knew what the olfactory mechanism was, what that winning hook buried in the composition was, the one that just 'works' and cannot be explained, let alone identified by the swooning 'victims of lust'. :D Now, I have a question for you because your channel is a new discovery: What is your mother tongue? I can hear an accent that doesn't sound French. The reason I ask is because there's a fragrance-related question I have for you and it's a cultural question that I'm THRILLED to imagine you could answer because so far I've held onto this enormous curiosity for years because I've never found someone best positioned to give me an insightful answer. Thanks again for reviewing this fascinating, utterly moreish fragrance. The visual that Ivory Route conjures up is of a sticky, humid, rich, dark, lush jungle to me filled with spice, sweet cigar and pipe tobacco and steam rising from the damp sweet earth after a monsoon downpour; the sun comes out and in between the palm fronds there are sudden beams of golden sunlight and it's here that you see the steam rising upwards to the now-clear blue sky. I keep thinking of an Indian jungle and I'm not sure why. Tigers! Orchids! Is there Mysore Indian sandalwood in Ivory Route or Australian sandalwood, I wonder?
