Xerox workcenter 7525 7535 7545 7555 screen unresponsive. Flashing green help light. Won't power on.

Richard, great info on upgrading. I have two Xerox 7535. One just flashes the screen and clicks and powers off an on over and over again. Any ideas what to check or replace on this one? My guess is it's the power supply and/or some main board. On the second one it powers on fully, everyone boots up normally, However, none of the 4 the paper tray's never lift the paper up into the ready position. I never hear the motors engage at all. I can remove Tray one and insert tray 2 and I can see that the paper never lifts up into place. Any idea's on this one?

Hey Richard, I have a issue where the same ? Light is flashing however have downloaded latest firmware update and followed same process as you have suggested however it goes black instead of showing a update page then continues going in boot up setup and then black screen when it realises the usb is still connected and won’t do anything else bar this. Any help would be further appreciated. I’ve tried resetting the whole system nothing and obviously can’t access the key information like the web up address to do the firmware update that way…

Hi.. we have a second hand xerox workcentre 5740 with a similar problem.. the only difference is that no green light flashes... could this be also that the firmware needs to be updated? Would appreciate any advise you can give me to have the printer fixed.

What file did you place on the flash drive? I have a 7970i and have tried both the automatic update jar file and the manual upgrade blm file. The machine does not attempt to boot from the USB drive.

good day, it works for a xerox 3655s model, since when I turn it on I access the menu, but with use, the screen remains static, only a legend appears that says "device coming out of energy saving" but from there it does not happen, Yes, I print but I can't access the menu, thanks...

Hi! I recently bought a second hand Xerox Workcentre 5790, for couple of days it was working fine, but when I tried to connect my PC with the machine through network setting and all i have made some changes in network settings in the diagnos mode. From then my machine is showing the companies home page i:s Xerox home page and not at all booting up. I cleaned the RAM, changed the RAM, I changed the battery on the RAM, I also checked by changing other hard disk, I also tried Alt boot which I have seen in one of your vedio, but still no result. I have updated my firmware. After installation i just remove the usb and press 0 as insutrected by the machine. then the machine will restart but a white screen flashes after green screen and then automaticaly restart the machine. The process continues . Please help..

Sir, Machince gives Error 310.375, 310.376. replaced fuser but error shows up at startup but Machine Works Fine. Sometine it Shows Fuser System Error and after restart error goes and machine start working. Any Advice on this Sir. regards

Hi Richard, I got that problem on a Xerox Work centre 7435, an older machine but mechanically fine. I have tried this procedure, setting up an USB drive (4Gb older) and inserted it into the USB drive on the right hand side (2 of them). However the machine keeps booting from the hard drive. Setting up the USB drive: Formatting in FAT32, creating a folder named "altboot", opening the folder and creating a textfile named "FORCED_UPGRADE" without TXT extention. Copying the postscript version of the machine software into the folder. After inserting it into the USB adapter, the copier doesn't start via USB, selects the hard drive and fails. Would be sure greatfull for an answer, Roland
