XG Documentary Series ‘XTRA XTRA’ EP X3 OGA Reacts

What's good ALPHAZ?! We recap episode X4 to the XG Documentary that covers the beginning of the creation of XG, a girl group that's "A New Breed, Breaking Boundaries." We get introduced not only to the 7 girls of XG, but the other girls that helped them get to where they are today. This episode covers so much as we finally get to see them embark for Korea a second time, a myriad of solo evaluations, their improved group dance evaluations, snippets of vocal training, deep dives into Chisa & Hinata, Hinata gives a presentation to the team, Simon reads the girls letters he wrote for them for the new year, and much much more.
There wasn't as much commentary or breakdowns as my previous XTRA XTRA videos due to this being the first time I watched this. I do intend to do a breakdown video in the future and discuss this episode with Chris on our Podcast. All comments are my own and do not represent XGALX, XG, or any other entity other than myself.

I don’t care what anybody says,But that scene were Maya,Chisa and Juria practicing in front of a hallway window will always hit me and made me cry..That’s why I love them so much💫⭐️

That scene will make any grown man cry. We never imagined that the 3 most bubbly, sweet, funny members of the group has faced this much hurdles early on. Them two babies (Juria and Maya) has been put through the grinder for them to be this good, and Chisa - her heart is built like a tank, her positivity is just outstanding. She really is the XG'S Sun.

we got a new XTRA XG released yesterday, i rewatched this XTRA XTRA once more before it. from there to here, it passed me a kind of feeling that i cant even describe a little. it's beautiful. they made it. it worths all these efforts.

I would love to see a back story on Simon, just to get some insight on his path to being where he is now and how it plays into the making of XG. This is like my 3rd re-watch of this episode and one thing that i picked up on more is noticing how the higher ranked girls showed more expression and emotion in their dance versus the bottom girls. I get a sense of more and more progression as they move along, but i think i get why Simon emphasizes that passion he always talks about. Watching all their performances now and seeing XTRA XG #15, you see how all the girls are in tune with each other and how passionate they are for ALPHAZ and each other...OG ALPHAZ! keep it up!

Definitely. I wasn't aware of Simon until XG but I did meet a few superfans of his. I watched some footage of him on how he dealt with fans during his Idol days and it made me respect him even more.

It was interesting to note that Cocona', that at an early age, she already knew what she wanted, career wise.

Definitely awesome to see that. But the flip side of that, I'm sure of the girls that didn't make it, a few of them probably said the same thing at that age. Cocona was just one of the few that made it. That's the hard truth about it... These girls all dreamt of being performers, being stars... But some don't get to see that dream come true. Heartbreaking really.

Thanks for the great reactions. Every time I see XTRA XTRA I feel sad 😭. Mr. Simon saw the qualities in all three of you. That's why he treated them harshly... This is a common sight in Japanese sports. It's hard for the kids who were treated harshly... It's hard for me to watch too😅

There probably was biases. I think Simon definitely knew at a certain point how he wanted the makeup of his group to be. Guess we’ll see in the next episode.

@@nattoXG it's not that he's biased but he knew that if he can convince those three to pursue that will be a win for the team. a two main vocalist and a fluent english speaker who can support the other mambers learning the language which is one of the key factor of what their goal is, to resch out for globsl fans.

I love how just recently Simon said the same thing for Kcon Japan (not exact words but “have fun don’t worry if you mess up I failed you and I’ll take the blame”) Also, thanks to you I’m noticing new things I didn’t realize after the first couple of watches.

Lol i think they're messing with us at that point. They're picking out things they've said in previous BTS. Like Cocona said "everything will be okay.. because I'm Cocona from XG" which was like the best quote from the BTS of the Tape 2 episode. They're too cute. Simon included. lol.

the last team performance with Chisa, Juria and Maya was really off. on the bright side you can see how far they've achieved past that level. they've worked so hard to get to where they are now. Simon had to give them some tough love for sure and the results speak to his success.

Love you have them tissues ready 😅 Forgot mine when I watched this the first time. Probably need to stock on tissues once the next episode is up 😊 My respect and admiration for SIMON just went up after watching this episode. The vision that he has for XGALX and XG members in particular is just noble. SIMON knows some Psy-Ops stuff too, the way he mentally tested the 3 girls to abandon their meek personality in order to have that same mentality as their peers. But he shown his vulnerable side and starts reading those messages and started to cry in front of the girls. I've lost it. Somebody must have been cutting onions I swear. 😭

And I've said this before. Amongst my circle of friends before HITC NY, I had nobody that liked XG as much as I did. They've obviously heard some of their songs, enjoyed them, but my love for them was so much more, it was difficult to express that. So I was kind of low key about it... But after HITC NY and meeting other ALPHAZ and hearing their stories. How much XG has moved them. How they all flew to NY to see their first show... I felt I found my people (no diss to my OG friends, I still love them too). And only then was I really comfortable to be like... I need to do my part... I am probably going to cry watching this as a react... But I am fine with sharing that to the world... because that's what XG does to me. Because I'm not alone, it's not just me... There are so many people that share these emotions and I want people to know. Anyways haha. Lowkey glad eps 4 didnt drop last night I still need time to recover from that react. But hopefully comes out tonight.

@@nattoXG You're not alone sir. Definitely not alone. We've been preaching the same gospel for over a year now. I was never really into KPOP, GG and stuff. I listen mostly to rock, some Hiphop, and other genre. But not GG Music (if there's a thing) I used to make fun of my younger sister because she's into KPOP, but when I first heard Tippy Toes - I was like, this is different. Then checked out all of their pre debut stuff, MOVE, VOX - the TAPES. I fell in love. Then the XTRA XG and XG DAYS stuff, that was hook, line and sinker for me. And with all his brilliance and wisdom - SIMON made XTRA XTRA Docu Series. We are experiencing the journey of the girls as if it was unfolding in our very eyes. XG has brought so much joy in my life I wouldn't even be shy to talk about them - I have so much pride and joy in what they have accomplished so far. And will be here for the ride for as long as I can.

Having watched this series, the imagery I got was that XG is like a finely crafted katana, hand forged by a mastersmith - Simon (ala Masamune) ....tempered and strengthened by their experiences. And I think this is what will set them apart

Yeah very hard to watch, but at the same time, makes you appreciate them even more. The process. The struggle. The work. Watching eps 3 then watching XTRA XG 15 for their first performance in Japan. It's just wild to me!
