IMO, Simon is unique from what we usually see from other K-Pop CEOs. And you really tell from his relationship with XG, and this journey from training to debut. He is stern, strict, and brutally honest but he balances it or makes up for it with moments where he has the more “human” moments. Like being open to their opinions, taking them out to places like music programs (in XG vlogs, he takes them to zoos, countries, etc), and shows how emotional he gets in the documentary when recalling the hard times.
Another reason that makes Simon such a good CEO is his ability to recognise his mistakes and adjust his aim. Like when the whole camp didn't vote to reintegrate Team C even though they did show a change in their mentality, he realised he had pushed them too far towards competitiveness and then switched focus to team building excercises to reinforce their camaraderie.
