this series isn't for the faint of heart, it does get lighter towards the second half. Luckily they have three meals a day series and X or Go series to smile and laugh afterwards lol

This series is for sure a rite of passage for Alphaz. It'll give you so much appreciation for the ladies, and even Simon (at least it did for me). It's funny, as a former athlete myself, I connected to this the same way you did. To those that haven't experienced competitive coaching, this all looks really harsh. But like you pointed out it's something a lot of us went through, and we know the sort of mind games coaches will use to get the results they want, to change our mentality. It was fascinating to see, and I can't wait for you to continue with this series

You are in for a wild ride for sure in some of these episodes....but trust once you make it through "ALL" the episodes it will all come together and make perfect XG sense. Simon being Korean/Japanese wanted to bridge the gap between the cultures with XG. Thats what make them so special and different from all other girl groups that are out there today. XG has been through it big time being the first group to ever attempt that in the way they are attempting to do so.

The song he played for them was either Mascara or Shooting Star because he had both of them ready by that time if I remember correctly

12:38 I often said they're X-Pop when I watch XG video reaction, some people maybe doesn't notice with their music but some people who often listening K-Pop knows that their songs is not K-Pop just said they're girl group with song with English lyrics. Jurin XG leader once said that XG have own genre their originally music is R&B and HipHop but their music is something special and it's about being (X)traordinary in their way to create unknown music genre which is called *X-Pop*

If you did not stop and watch until the end of the video, you would have to guess who is talking at the end. That is a great intro for the 2nd episode.

Sigh...gonna watch your reaction to it and this should interesting. Seeing reactors watch this series, you get to see XG's allure in the social media space. I've watched it and as a 50 year old man with 5 kids, I get emotional watching some parts. But in the end, I see how they're different and how they came to be. We always notice the swag and cool videos but forget the years of hard work, dedication and loss these "girls" had to endure. One of the best music documentaries I've seen. I'd recommend this become a trend in kpop, best marketing for any group.

Edit: I also related so much to this story with my upbringing in martial arts, I definitely had PTSD for some time! I think anyone who has pursued any type of skill whether in the arts, sports, etc., will find a connection with this story! I’m so happy to watch this series with you. I don’t know if I can admit how many times I’ve watched it by now 😅. I’ll do my best not to spoil anything but I’ll just say it’s worth the entire ride. Can’t wait to see you progress through this story, it will be a lot but so so, SO worth it.😊
