This group "XG" and specifically "Shooting Stars" is going stupid crazy viral globally BUT "Left Right" is absolutely CRAZY!!!! The sound is such a throwback to the 90s/early 2000s R&B era that it hit a mark with me as the early to mid 90s were my highschool era. Don't SLEEP on "XG", they are taking this world by storm and like you said, DOMINATE! They are absolutely insane and are filling that group void that is no longer a thing here in North America unlike those past years.

Shooting Star and Left Right taps into that lost 1990s-2000s R&B vibe that makes me appreciate and love both equally.

Some fans say it’s better than Shooting Stars but me personally I love it which is kinda weird for me considering most times I prefer the B-Sides over the Title Track. But both songs were amazing!💙💫

I'm like y'all, this was DA JOINT for me. I grew up on 90's R&B so this track feels like home to me in a big way. I mean from a marketing perspective I understand why 'Shooting Star' was the title track. I guess when you take into consideration the whole landscape of Kpop (where not everyone grooves with R&B) it was probably the safer choice since they are still expanding their audience (don't get me wrong it was dope and it's on my playlist here). There were nods to R&B in 'Shooting Star', but they fully embraced it on this track and it suits them well, they have some amazing vocals on top of what we already know they can do rap-wise. Straight up tho, I had been really really wanting a more R&B/golden age of hip-hop sound in Kpop (although I have trouble calling them Kpop or even Jpop) and I agree with you, if they keep releasing music like this (and that legendary xypher) it won't be long before they take over. On that note: this Saturday (Feb 4) I believe they have their first US radio interview on I Heart Radio's Ask Anything Chat. Gonna drop some ?'s for them and tune in to support for sure. Quality reaction as always y'all! ✌

The chorus got me ascending. Left right is easily SOTY for me! Unfortunately, a lot of XG's live stages are hit with xenophobic comments and cyberbullying. “Eww, I hate you go back to your country,” “Why can’t you just perform in Japan,” “They are not visuals,” “They are small and boring,” “New Jeans 2.0 copycats” - these are just some of the nasty comments left and as a fan, it’s really disheartening to see. Genuinely wish them success in going international. Fighting XG!! We need to see you in 88Rising's next music fest pleaseee 🌠

The old heads like myself missed this rnb/hiphop sound. I’m glad XG brought it back, and NJs brought the early 00s/late 90s kpop sound back. I hope both groups continue to surprise us with their music. Now, we gotta wait and see what Baby Monster will bring to the table.

I totally agree with you, XG and New jeans are till now the best girl groups I've ever seen. There is quality in their music, you know what mean, it's not just visuals and catchy sounds like the others. Indeed, there is music in it. If they keep going in this path they can be huge out of Korean industry. And yes, LEFT RIGHT should be the single, this song is amazingly good.

I love this song, it's my favourite out of the music that they've released so far. I really hope we get an album next, and hopefully they have more of them physically in stock! Jurin became my bias after Mascara and the cypher, but Chisa is totally my bias wrecker after this comeback!!

I think the two songs are both so good but I'm glad they actually released a B side because I know people will have their preferences and even though they're both somewhat similar in terms of the feel, they clearly have a very different audience and I've seen everyone love at least one of them. Also feel like if they just released Left Right it doesn't have the viral factor that Shooting Star has so they kinda compliment each other rlly well.

The Down, Down part definitely reminded me of old school rnb / pop songs. I'm trying to recall a song that has the same melody

Shooting Star was the best choice for title track that is easy for everyone to get into but Left Right was one of the best b-sides that could have easily been a title track. B-sides are meant to show off personalities and are true gems and it feels special to listen to! All in all, XG is my fave group rn, sorry to everyone else but theyre winning

As much as I love Left Right, I think Shooting Star was the better choice for the title track because I think it’s more of the “commercial friendly” track like Ace and Bang mentioned. I don’t know if y’all remember P. Diddy’s former girl group called Dream that had the song He Loves You Not but XG give me that vibe. I didn’t even think of 3LW but I see that too.
