Hi guys, I’m a 74 years old ALPHAZ, and 56 years of soul music freak. I tried to dance old 60’s and 70’s soul dances such as funky broadway, boogaloo, tighten up, horse, cloudy stock, popcorn, sexmachine, soul cha cha, etc. with this New Dance, and I did it all successfully! Soul music and soul dances are eternal.

7:06 Cocona said slide to the left and the right now dip your hip low like me baby. Further more she did it with JURIN and she even did it during their little dance Cypher in the sunset during the chorus. To be real it seemed like each girl learned a new dance being they were doing different dance styles during their part of the chorus.

The New Dance is like the Monster Mash: there is never a direct description of how you are supposed to do the dance, it’s just a vibe on how the dance makes you feel.

I believe the whole “I just learned a new dance” Lyric is exactly that lmao it’s not necessarily a “single specific NEW dance” but more - just come together and start dancing however and move ur body to the music. THATS what the new dance is - whatever u feel when u hear the music and start moving. It’s not an actual specific dance lmao I think y’all thinking too deep into it. It’s suppose to be a feel good song , so dance however u want , that’s what “I just learned a new dance” means. It’s YOUR dance…

They say “Don’t you get too dizzy tryna keep up with me” “If you don’t know how to do it, then just sit down”. It means you don't have to force yourself to keep up cuz there are people in various situations. They also say “We ain’t come to bother nobody” “We just came to have a good time”. I will support their NEW DANCE!

TGIF grew on me as well..The first time I listen to it,I was kinda eh..But now I like it..That’s why I love this reaction channel. No sugarcoating. New dance is definitely addicting

It was filmed in Okinawa,Japan. They brought all filming staff from Korea other than drone videographer and lighting staff. Compared to TGIF or GRLGVNG, it should be less budgeted, but they still built that space ship interior and used CGI for a graffiti.

Great reaction. 1st listen I thought New Dance was repetitive said 40 times, 12 times per pre chorus. After watching my fave reactors it really grew on me got me vibing every time now. Look up some their recent live performances of New Dance (they have more this week) and it shows more choreography. It shows how much fun they are having. This mini album is amazing so far and im pretty sure the last ones are going to be just as great or even better!

To me, I thought of the New Dance as more of a metaphor for doing new things, seeing new things, and just living life. Love the breakdown and this song is a total vibe!

i think new dance means take a new step or move like how cocona took a singing part instead of rap like she always do and the way she teleport from past to future at the end. for the dance itself, i do wondering if they gonna make a new dance for tiktok challenge, but it feels more like they invited you to create and show your new dance and have fun with it. that's what i got from it.

For me I guess what throws some off is that these girls are a new Xpop genre…their music of course won’t be popular or liked by everybody. I love XG’s new concept. The Alien 👽 and spacecraft while XG is enjoying there atmosphere and this one being a Summer Song and enjoying themselves. The new dance is confidently having fun in the moment and moving your body like no one else is watching. It's all in the lyrics. I walked in to the show and loved the beat so I started dancing. To paraphrase "Everybody is watching me have the time of my life dancing this new crazy dance. Want to have fun like me, I'll show you how". Every girl sung a version of their own "new dance". Chisa's was turn around, bend over and touch your toes it really doesn't matter as long as your steady keep your eyes on the floor. It's not a new dance, it's a state of mind. The song's premise is about having confidence in yourself, stop worrying about what others think about you, enjoy the moment and just dance your new dance like it was the greatest new dance ever created!!!!!!

Guys, the whole vibe of the song is fun. It’s not that deep. They’re basically saying, they finally landed on earth and just found new dances/moves that they enjoy. If you haven’t noticed, they are all doing different things. To them, that’s new. I still respect you reactions though. You guys are interesting and I know you have mad love for XG.

I think it was smart to release this at the end of summer- I think if it was released early summer we'd get big tired of the "new dance new dance new dance" chorus real fast. Now that it's released, the next thing that'll catch our attention is the album coming soon next month. I agree with Bang Bang- it felt like a tiktok challenge sorta song and that's not necessarily a bad thing! Also...was that Simon on the TV???? I feel like the comment on how they should have said in the song how to do the song is a bit of a miss. The song isn’t really about teaching us the new dance as much as they’re hype about having learned a new dance and getting a chance to show off at the party. Since the “new dance” just seems to be tapping your wrists together, it doesn’t really require much explanation. You see them do it a million times during that pre-chorus lol

I also thought they started to describe the dance but then stopped. 😂 Perfect summer song. Guy on the right has my fave reactions. TGIF was my least favorite too. Still good. One of my grower songs was Shake It by Sistar.

1080p it’s ok, I personally don’t like Tippy Toes as much and I prefer this song to GrL Gvng and TGIF , and Mascara is my number 1 followed by Shooting Star, this being the strong third runner up, but music is subjective. For most people Left Right is the number 1 song and yet for me it’s like number 4. Different strokes for different folks, but thank you for your support and apologies for any ignorant comments.
