This MV is an exceptional work of art by XGALX. 🙆🏻‍♀️🎼💫🤯 Everyone of the girls have shown off the their beautiful vocals…even the rap line has Great Vocals in this one ☝🏽. This Song 🎶 sounds incredible after listening to it like 20x now. I noticed the vocal runs by CHISA & JURIA. The RAP Line is always on 🔥. I continue to be impressed by Our Amazing Girls. The vocals are insane. The whole album is a story book. The symbolism of the contents on the MV are so beautiful. It’s open for interpretation for all. The character that blew up was not worthy but the ladies are. That’s what I’m getting. XG, Simon and XGALX really outdone themselves. I’m so proud of them

After watching a bunch of reactions where some were even offended by them doing the "feminism" as it is rather in full swing in Western countries, I believe it was incorrectly interpreted. If you look at chronological order of songs and their release, to me at least, it is about female idol groups in Korea and Japan but also in Thailand, China and Philippines to an extent. The Entertainment companies dictate (puppet string, barbie doll, changing idol stereotypes, etc) what songs they do, what choreo, what they wear, how they behave, what image they have in day-to-day, even acting to certain image and personality characteristics assigned by the companies. A certain member might have some say in choreo and whatnot, but not entirely. Even I-dle [(g) I-dle] have to fight for the songs they have written and produced. In short, they are saying XG will do what XG wants, not that I'm completely sold on the idea that they actually do what they want, but hey. Close enough. Great on-the-spot interpretation as always DG.

What a great debut album, every song is quality enough to be a single out of which a group builds their career from. Also, I've seen their physical album and it looks very cool. Just kind of hope there would be longer versions the 2 beginning songs, at least they didn't go full newjeans short song route.

Been watching other reactions too and the message they got was "girls hate man", or "this message is so wrong". What I got from this, watching ur video, is tha the song doesn't generalize man exactly, the part were they talk about a "boy" doesn't exactly mean "all men", more like it was the bad experience with a certain person (who knows, a corrupt figure) that made them want to take control cuz they don't want to be puppets anymore. I think with all the previous hate from women towards men recently is making men take the wrong message from this kind of dialogue. It's a social problem cuz now they feel threatened by this kind of messages. Edit: The song is portraying the irony of how the world has been working with mainly man power, but imagine girls mainly ruling it. It portrays the historical background but in a non offensive way cuz, they are not insulting the masculine public, they are giving a role play is the world was the opposite way. I hope I delivered the my interpretation🤣

Puppet Show delivers a message of empowerment, asserting the importance of being heard, respected and equally within a romantic relationship. It portrays a scenario where traditional roles are reversed and challenging.

So good 🫡 altho I will say, I’ve probably watched this MV ten times now (along with the reactions) but I haven’t fully grasped the MV theme 😂

I believe the figure connecting Hinata and Chisa, as well as the first figure to jump into the beam of light (and explode into blue powder) is representative of their group producer and manager, Simon (Jakobs), who was himself a former K-Pop idol.

They don't know how to miss. Not one bit. Everything they've dropped since day one is straight fire. The symbolism was on point too - they really are art personified. The whole EP is as beautiful as it gets. 6 tracks. 5 beautiful songs. 4 cinematic MV's for an EP. Damn. Thanks for the XG love. The baddest GG out there with another win. 🔥🔥

Just wanted to share the story and lore behind the music video., credit to @exScythed. - The XG girls are lowered individually into Buddhist Hell by the thread of a spider (the scene with Chisa represents this). The figures you see in the very beginning are wearing traditional Buddhist headdresses. They are surrounded by spirits who are caught in a cycle of reincarnation that never ends. (In Buddhism the “spider’s thread” is a reference to how Buddha took the thread of a spider in Heaven and lowered it down to Hell so that a criminal can climb up from Hell to Paradise. Therefore the thread of a spider is a symbol of slight hope aka a silver lining and of fragility. In the story it’s stated that the thread descended through “many layers of sky and clouds.”) - The XG girls look on sadly as many spirits attempt to reach Paradise and fail, exploding into nothingness (Chisa looking down from her perch represents this.) - Even though the XG girls are hailed as goddesses by the other spirits (represented by the way the other spirits bow to them) they realize they still can’t reach Paradise alone aka achieve enlightenment. - This changes when the XG girls find each other in death, realizing that their meeting was fate in order for them to reach Paradise together (they are tied together by the “red string of fate” and “hesonoo” is Japanese for umbilical chord.) This is represented four times in the video and twice in the chorus of the song; When Juria is running to help a spirit and meets Hinata there’s a close up of her eye where we see her having a vision of an explosion, when Harvey (who has black teeth which in Japan is a common practice amongst women because it represents a “woman with virtues”) meets Jurin, when the XG girls rap/dance together as a group with the drums, and when a wayward spirit’s failure to achieve enlightenment causes an explosion which knocks everyone down leaving only XG standing strong. There’s also a ton of fourth wall breaks showing that they’ve broken away from the circle the spirits are stuck walking in. They know the Truth aka achieved enlightenment and know you’re watching basically. Also, it is only in the later two choruses the girls adlib together. The first chorus, when they haven’t met in the video yet, has none. - Before XG goes, they bless one of the spirits who is heavily implied to be pregnant with a girl (the moon is associated with womanhood, XG fans are ALPHAZ aka wolves) and has earned the right to be reincarnated. - The XG girls take a literal leap of faith together and successfully reach Paradise! The music video is tied to XG’s themes of female empowerment-women have two “x” chromosomes, the girls are “extraordinary,” they have the “x-factor,”they represent a better future for women which is connected to the idea that the next generation of children (children birthed by women who have “new DNA”) are the future hence the futurism stuff. I hope this helps anyone!
