XG is honestly one of the best groups at the moment and criminally underrated. I'm not talking best female group, kpop/xpop, whatever, they are one of the best groups across all genders, all genres, globally. Truly a once in a generation group IMO. Definitely would recommend checking out their latest track, Undefeatable, absolute fire! They have a new single dropping on May 21st also, keep an eye out! 🔥🔥🔥

i think the reason why they can get along so well is because they started young. some of the girls at xgalx started training at the age of 13. these girls are family. oh and most of their song releases have dance practices

But XG isn't Kpop. Even if they say they are Xpop, for me they are Jpop. They have the same aura, music and talent as Jpop groups like E-Girls, Foxxi MisQ and many more. But one thing is sure: They are NOT Kpop.

Groups are tight with each other over there because they actually work and live together as they are growing up. So by the time it's time for them to debut into the music industry, they're basically siblings at that point. Sure your siblings will get on your nerves here and there but will stick together because we're family. If you have time on your own or whether you wish to react to it, you should watch XG Documentary on how they came up. It'll be an eye opener on how intense the music industry is in Japan & South Korea. Also, just subbed! Love your reactions :)
Highly recommend Stray Kids. They're the leading 4th Generation Kpop boy group. They're a self producing group who are known for their experimental hype beats and more hip hop based but have a wide range of genre's of music in their catalogue. Loved both your XG reactions.
As everybody and their uncles will soon tell you, XG is NOT K-Pop (okay ... they used the training methods of the K-Pop idol industry, are based in Korea and use similar marketing channels ... but the music style is somewhat distinct) ... also, they aren't Korean but all Japanese. So, all "K-Pop-recommendations" I can give you are also NOT your typical K-Pop ... but since you asked, besides XG I'd recommend: NMIXX - Dash; Young Posse - XXL; and on the male side Stray Kids - Megaverse ... should all be to your liking. But of course, I'm here first and foremost for my Xtraordinary Girls. Recommendations ... XG Tape #2 Galz Xypher (but fasten your seat belt before) ... Hesonoo & X-Gene performance video ... Winter Without You in the live vocals version on The First Take. That should be enough for now.
I thought k pop was the only genre in eastern Asia. So is there other genres out there too?! Like of course they listen to hip hop and stuff but as far as the groups and stuff are they all just in different genres or are they their own genre
@@RabbitHoleTVOfficial Okay, I'll try ... this might get a bit longer. On one level, K-Pop means the Korean music industry, exemplified by (as of now) four huge companies - YG, SM, JYP and HYBE. Now, in the West, a group usually is formed by some friends who like music, they get together and jam a bit in a garage, and when they are somewhat good they might play in some bars live in front of a dozen people or so, and there it starts ... right? Not so in Korea. The groups are formed, or even forged, by a rigid selection and training process that has been refined for some three decades now, by one music company. To take XG as an example, because they used the same process: these girls trained on a professional level together for _five years_ before they even debuted. These are the seven best out of an evaluation and training process that started more than seven years ago with literally thousands of young girls who applied for an audition. They train on a professional level, basically every day, and the youngest trainees may even be still in elementary school when the trainee period starts. Now, XG are Japanese, not Korean; their company/label, XGALX, was specifically created to do this kind of training/selection process for Japanese, and to literally _create_ stars. Since as Japanese they are kind of outsiders in Korea, after debut they also started out from basically zero. But if YG decides to debut a new group, like last year with Babymonster, this entirely new group starts out with a built-in, automatic fanbase of _26 million_ RU-vid YG subscribers. Compared to the dozen listeners in a random bar in the West. Now, for the music/genre perspective. Think of K-Pop not so much as a genre, but as a framework. This framework has three basic ingredients: singing (vocalists), rap, and dance. The dance element plays a hugely more important role here than in the West - dance and choreography are as vital as lyrics and music composition for a track. But of course you can't have everything ... one group might have outstandig vocalists, but may be only mediocre dancers, or vice versa (no bad ones here though ... the bad ones are eliminated through the training and selection period). They will always have some singing, some rapping, and some dancing elements. Inside this framework of three elements however, the music genre can vary widely. One group may go for Hip Hop (I mentioned a rookie group, Young Posse ... that's them). Another may have rock elements (example: Dreamcatcher); or more like synthesizer pop sounds (I think you could put aespa there). Stray Kids, as one of the biggest groups, are basically their own genre by now. And you have the "typical" poppy K-Pop groups, of which there are many. All have dancing, singing, rapping elements - but in different genres. XG's main genre direction could be described as "US style 90s and early 2000s R&B and rap" ... which is a fairly uncommen and unique style, which means it is not the "typical" poppy K-Pop. Here is something for you from XG to react to, to get a grasp on these points. Shortly before official debut, XG released three video clips, sort of teasers of what to expect. XG Move #1 (dance element), XG Tape #1 (rap element), XG Vox #1 (vocals element). Go to these three clips before you go to another complete newer XG track; with these three, you'll have the basic elements XG is built around. And as a sidenote, XG is one of these rare groups that really excel in _all three_ elements. They don't have a weak spot. Finally, and now this will be the fun part. Different genres in Asia from K-Pop. I will give you another Japanese girl group ... a fairly unique one. Don't do any research up front. Just dive into it with a blind reaction. I promise, it won't hurt your channel either ... The One (name of the fandom of this group) is huge and fiercely loyal. Name of the group: Babymetal. Track: Pa Pa Ya. Just do it, then return and wait what happens ^^
