XG - Tippy Toes (Official Music Video) reaction 

I am Japanese and I would like to share some info. XG is a Japanese girls group debuted from global entertainment production "XGALX" (pronounced as "x-galax"). XGALX is a project started by Avex (Japanese entertainment company) in 2018. It was called " X-Galaxy" project at that time, then renamed "XGALX", and around this time, Simon, the producer of XG and the member of Korean idol group DMTN, joined the project. XG means "Extraordinary Girls" and all members are Japanese (Harvey is half Australian/Japanese): Jurin: 19 yo, leader, rapper, ex-professional snowborder/model Chisa: 20 yo, main vocal, ex-model Cocona: 16 yo, dancer, rapper Hinata: 19 yo, dancer, visual Maya: 15 yo, dancer, rapper Juria: main vocal, ex-child actor Hervey: rapper, ex-model, appeared in Japanese groups "lol"'s MV "boyfriend" There several rumors regarding this group: 1. It was said that XG is a co-project by Avex and YG since one of their pre-debut performances was shot in YG's studio. However, it was denied by YG. The only clear fact is, it is a Japanese-Korean joint project co-produced by Avex and Simon and all their performances so far were filmed in Korea. 2. Hyogin, the dancer from 1 million studio and the formar Street Woman Fighter contestant, directed their pre-debut dance perfoance. Also, their choreo video was filmed at 1 million studio so 1 mllion studio involed in this project hugely. 3. It is true that Hikaru from Kep1er used to be in this project and practiced with them together but if Hikaru was supposed to debut with them or not, and if she would join XG after Kep1er are unknown. The only confirmed info is that the producer Simon mentioned Hikaru in his zoom call and quoted "once Hikaru finished Kep1er's activity, we will discuss future promotions". Sorry for the long post. The dance practice of this song is mad. The girls are hella talented. Theyre amazingly synchronized, ita crazy.

TOKYO GIRLS is a giant audition where they discover new talent for top idols and models. Anyone over 9 can audition and you can win a contract with Avex , appear on magazines, or get support from other agencies, etc. Basically a giant talent scouting showcase.

Looking back. You had one chance to escape the XG black hole. But you had to watch them... Me too. Trapped for life!

They have been together as a group since 2016, being trained and developed to be a 'global' girl group. I have to be honest, as their lyrics state, "They are wrecking the game, with this debut!!!!" KPOP has to be aware of this group, as XG's development team was so smart to produce their debut song, in English! To appeal to a wider audience! This group definitely puts JPOP on the map and opens the flood gates to a larger fan base. I love everything about this group and this song! I see future collabs, International tours, and much more awareness of "XG"

When I watched their MV on debut day, I was immediately impressed with their very mature concept. They are all fantastic dancers with incredible stage presence and visuals. The song is understated and sexy, but does not display much vocal range. So I am intrigued--I'm not sure if they can do more than what they've shown so far in this MV. But I hope that they are the entire package. Since they sang/rapped in English, I am curious if they can sing/rap in Korean? Anyways, I am interested enough in them to follow them to find out how they develop. I am hopeful.

One aspect that is immediately obvious from this group is that they are visually different. Even more so when compare to the usual Korean girl group. That's why you looks confused at first if they are asian ( apart from some members who has more typical asian face ). If you follow Japanese group more and more you will realise that each band look quite distinct and that's only because the beauty standard in Japan is much less unified than Korean. I've been saying this for long time , but k-pop always or tends to go for certain looks OR certain style/make up which make the members look very very similar. You will get this perfect beautiful triangle face very pale skin almost of the time. And since K-pop is the most popular entertainment industry coming out of Asia right now, it set certain perception to the world of how asian look is like which is not always true.

XG is a company of XG ALX (avex). XG is all Japanese. It's not kpop, it's a Japanese girl group, and global group. XG does not collaborate with YG and has nothing to do with it. YGEX is a label created by avex and YG in a business alliance to sell YG artists in Japan, not YG's Japanese branch. There is false information and XG were collaborating with YG, partly because XG was using YG's dance room. The dance practice is great so be sure to check it out 😊

they're a japanese girl group, striving for a global audience but based in south korea. they all fluently speak japanese, korean and english and from what i've heard they started as an global experiment group by a japanese entertainment company. im super impressed by them, they're all all-rounders its crazy. the main rappers can sing they all dance they're all visuals and im sure the vocals can rap decently too

No No No not k-pop. they’re all Japanese and not under YG. Actually, Avex and YG have a business alliance “YGEX” but it’s for YG artist promotion in Japan. But XG’s company is “XGALX”, Those are nothing to be related and perfectly deferent company. So many foreign people miss understand it. XG hasn’t collaborated with YG. Many other country people said YG and Avex are collaborating, but this is incorrect information. And already YG had officially announcement make denial of relation.
